Giselle - Fantastic news, take care of yourself on holiday, drink plenty of liquids!!!!

Littlestar, so sorry I only just got your message (I only go on internet during the week .. and at work!!!) I take it you will have taken the full dose by now? Best thing would be to have just kicked in taking the 2 tablets in the morning. x

skates77 · 08/09/2008 10:44

Giselle- I was wondering where you had gone OMG that is such amazing news congratualations...you normally wen someone tells you they are pregnant you feel that bit of jealousy but hearing you are, I am genuinely so so so happy for you...your story shows us there is light at the end of the dark dark tunnel...you have lifted my spirits and of others...takecare, have a great holiday!

jonahsgirl · 08/09/2008 12:05

Congratulations Giselle21 I'm made up for u x
It really is fantastic to know that clomid does work and does give us all hope and reassurance that it can happen to us too.
Lets hope this is the start of lots of good news for us all!

peju25 · 08/09/2008 12:25

Congrats Giselle21 that is great news!!

Got a quick question for you all! I have heard that Ov tests dont work with clomid & pcos but is this always true?? I am on 1st try on clomid and have pcos and not getting any blood tests this month so decided to buy some. They have been really faint for last 4 days but today the test line is defo darker - can i trust this result??

obviously gonna get bding as much as poss over next couple of days anyway but just wanted to know if they can be accurate??

Pinkali37 · 08/09/2008 13:11

Peju- worth trying even if not reliable!! I heard they weren't advisable whilst on Clomid but hey, i'd just keep doing it and hopefully it will work this month!!

haylz · 08/09/2008 13:13

hi peju25
its a wonder ur doc hasnt said 2 u no 2 bother with them kits cause with pcos we have higher levels of lh and something with the insulin in our bodies will give us a pos test even if u aint ova. i bought some and they came up pos and i didnt ova. my af arrived yesterday so i have started round 5 and iv got everything crossed this month hoping i do ova.
good luck girls xx

Giselle21 · 08/09/2008 19:38

Thanks girls... i will keep u all posted as i go.... still in shock. Love ya all babydust from me and bump xxxxxxxxxxxx

peju25 · 09/09/2008 13:00

Hi all thanks for your messages. I have just done another ov test and this one has come back darker than yday and would seem to be my first real pos on them (realised if test line lighter than control it is neg and today it is darker than control) So fingers crossed i have ov for the first time!! Gonna go home and drag my dh up them stairs lo

MWmum · 09/09/2008 19:25

Hi all! Been away for few days and managed to pick up nasty cold bug. Typical as try to avoid medication when ovulating/ttc (Assuming I actually manage to do either )
Big congrats to newly pregnant ladies...no more mr Whippies or yummy brie for you ladies! It tastes better after 9 months so don't worry.
Just on day 9 of cycle with 100 mg of clomid so about to start the whole ttc thing again. Bit suprised to hear about te abstinence from day 10 to 12 thing, never heard that before? Particularly as that was my "prime time" as I was hoping for another girl? Oh well, think I'll go for it anyway and see what happens, sick of my life being so prescripted, sure the world wouldn't be so full if we really had to get it just perfect!

peju25 · 10/09/2008 12:42

Hi all - im having a really bad down day today. Finally get put on clomid - do ov tests and get the first pos yday then went home and tried to get dh to bd! He went off on one saying he wasnt in the mood! What is it with these men they say they want a baby and so we do all the tests and take the medication to get it and they cant even do the one little thing it needs at the right time. He said he feels like he got to do it to order. why dont he realise that we aint gonna have a baby naturally and unfortunately there is only a couple of days a month it might happen. Only got 6 chances at this and 1 gone already. I know it has taken over our lives a bit. im just so upset right now and just feel like chucking it all in the bin.
sorry to rant on just needed to get it out to someone.

skates77 · 10/09/2008 14:59

Peju i totally understand what you are saying and i am more than happy to listen to any ranting you want to do my love.

It is hard for the men to understand what we are going through, they should be happy we want to have sex with them not moan!!

Have you tried buying some sexy underwear or night stuff? i find if i come down stairs wearing something sexy my other half cant resist even if he is tired. they have to think its their idea, be suggestive, give him some extra kisses, they need to be showed you love them for them and not just for sex which is strange considering all they think about is sex!

xxxxxxxxxx

peju25 · 10/09/2008 15:39

Thanks skates - think i prob caught it on a bad day as usually all that stuff works for me too but last night nothing was working and we ended up arguing over it coz he said im always after it (think my sex drive is just a tad higher than his lol!). When i tried to tell him it wasnt just about the sex and that i thought we were meant to be trying for a family he just said we are but he dont want to do it every 5 mins and sometimes he just wants to have a cuddle n go to sleep! - he just dont seem to understand the timing thing. Will go home and try to talk it through tonight, think he is feeling bit guilty tho and knows how hard it is for me being the one who cant have baby naturally etc so fingers crossed!

Pinkali37 · 10/09/2008 15:39

Peju, I went through exactly the same thing the month I got pregnant! DH suddenly decided he didn't want it in our prime time. SO... I stopped telling him when good or bad times were, i didn't mention anything to do with clomid and liek most things we haev to do with men, make them feel like it is there own idea!! I made sure we did it on and evening then possibly miss a day and do it the morning after that. It made him feel i was doing because i wanted to (which of course I was because I wanted a baby!!!) It meant a lot of forcing myself to have it when I knew I really didn't want to but it lulled him into a false sense of security!!

skates77 · 10/09/2008 16:21

I am currently on my most fertile days but I couldnt have sex last night, i felt so tired and drained I went straight to sleep, feel bad this mornign that I might have missed my chance this month, got my bloods next friday so we shall see!

hope fully i wont get my period on day 21 again this month!

xxxxxx

jonahsgirl · 10/09/2008 22:30

I'm with you there girls! This baby making routine is a full time business!! We have to meticulously plan when we can get it together cause we both work different shifts and it also seems to fall on, when i think, is my fertile days, when we struggle to be at home at the same time! So theres been many times when I think we missed out that month, but who knows? My DP also has days when he isn't in the mood but it's funny how he never seemed to say no when we weren't ttc!! I think it's an ego thing with men and if we make them think it's their sexy body we want and not just their ability to make babies!! Then that'll probably work better!!
Have fun tryin!!!

skates77 · 12/09/2008 11:41

Morning ladies,

I am in a terrible mood today, think it might be PMT which I am really hoping I am wrong about as I am not due on for another 2 weeks!!!

Beginning to wonder if I will ever be pregnant and getting myself a bit upset.

Why do we do this to ourselves!

xx

Wallacex · 12/09/2008 15:13

Skates,

I know where your coming from I am one day from finishing my third round of clomid tablets, only for a work colleague who works in the same department as me to tell me that she is 14 weeks pregnant. I cried my heart out in my lunch hour. I asked myself what is wrong with me so much that I can't get pregnant - its something im suppossed to be able to do and can't seem to. Failure is just one of the words floating around my head. My emotions seem to be running wild and I do not know where to go or what to do, I don't want to give up, but Im not sure I can handle the heartache every month.

wishinanhopin · 12/09/2008 21:29

All finished all the baby making DH can handle in a week LOL. Now the waiting game begins. 1st clomid round, and I know I shouldn't get my hopes up, but here I am hoping away!! I was OV between 6-11th, so we made love accordingly, realistically when should I take a test?? I haven't had a period in 8 months, hence the clomid, but I am feeling weird. I'd constipated and feel crampy, kinda like the dreaded AF is on its way.

hayzee · 14/09/2008 09:32

Vikks · 14/09/2008 14:13

Hi Girls,
I've finished my 100mg, hubby and I have started trying again this month. Didn't like the 100mg, I felt quite sick every day about 5 hours after taking them. And to top it off I've got spots! Just a few but I never get them. Oh well, if it works I don't care about a few spots. I've also started my weekly acupuncture, I'm not convinced it'll help but it's nice to get time to relax and it really helps clear my head.

Welcome hayzee, good luck with the scan. Have you had any strange side effects this month?

wishinanhopin- I'd test day 28. The Clomid should make your cycle short and regular. My cycle was 3 monthly before I started but now it's 29-31 days. Even though it hasn't worked yet, it's still nice to get to try once a month. Good luck x

Baby dust all round x x x x

hayzee · 15/09/2008 09:09

hi everyone thanks for the welcome. The side effects have been not too bad felt like i wanted to kill everyone lol and a bit sick. Just hoping the scan shows its working but thats what will all hope.

skates77 · 15/09/2008 10:54

Morning Ladies,

Wallacex I know what you mean, I became an auntie for the second time on friday so everyone is gushing about the baby, especially as it is boy, first grandson and all that. I am happy for my sister inlaw but also I cant help feeling very jealous.

I am convinced I will get AF this week, I'm not due for another two weeks but last month I got AF on day 21 which this month is on friday as I am having my bloods, if I get to there without AF that is! no point in checking if I am bleeding.

I have not had any side effects this month, feel periody now but other than that nothing.

Sorry to moan on, just not feeling very positive this time.

Sacks and sacks of baby dust to us all
