Hey Haylz, Wallacex and teenab

Sorry Haylz I had somehow missed that re hopful. Thats wonderful news for her!!! (And has cheered me up no end (especially after that stuff in the media with that piffle about Clomid not working).

Wallacex am now on Day 4 of clomid (first cycle) am taking 50mg. (In fact am just about to take tablet 4 at 11am). Am keeping fingers very tightly crossed.

So far have only one side effect and that is waking up (but still very tired) ridiculously early (2.30 or 3) and then only getting back to sleep about five mins before the alarm goes off at 6am. Grrrrrrr. So am consequently tired but its cos of that and not 'fatigue' as symptom in its own right. Has anyone else had/or got this?

Hey teenab - I'm taking it on days 5 - 9, and I know people who have been prescribed it on 2-6, 3-7, 4-8. It seems diff Drs prescribe diff days for diff patients...
Good luck!
Babydust to all

PS I only just discovered that XOXOXOX meant hugs and kisses... Before that I couldn't work out why people were writing Oxo a lot at the end of their texts. But yes, I am blonde.

Hi Skates I just finished my first 5days of clomid and had headaches every night and morning but since finishing the course headaches have gone but vision a little blurry now and then. I would have a chat with the GP if it gets to much to see what would be best to take to counter act this. This whole process is very exciting but very scary.
Chelle

skates77 · 12/08/2008 13:47

Hi Chelle,

It's nice to hear that I am not the only one suffering if you know what I mean.

Your right this is very exciting to the point where i was keep smiling but then again it is very scary too, i think the 21 day bloods will be the most agonising

xx

haylz · 12/08/2008 14:01

loopylou99 · 13/08/2008 08:43

skates77 · 13/08/2008 09:09

Wallacex · 13/08/2008 11:14

Hi Skates,

I started clomid in July and have finished my second cycle, am due for my bloods next Monday so fingers crossed that it has worked as i had to drop my dose, but i don't have any symptoms like last month. How are you now?

When i first started taking metformin they made me feel sick, but i perserved and they are ok now, i take 1000mg a day.

Tigger - are how you feeling now? when do you go for your bloods?

Giselle21 · 13/08/2008 11:24

Hi Ladies, am new to this so all happy stories welcome!! Have just finished my forst cycle of clomid and am feelin a boit unsure of what happens next. Have had hot flushes and headaches but no pain or anything. Was diagnoised with multiple cysts on both ovaries last year. If my period was 5 weeks and 1 day last time when should me and the hubby be at it this month?? I get sooo confused with my dates! Help needed xxxxx

skates77 · 13/08/2008 11:27

Hi Wallacex,

I think I should go back on the Metformin too then, I will speak with my doctor when I go for my 21 day bloods, although that falls on a saturday so I will have to have day 23 bloods. Just hope I have ovulated.

Maybe because you have dropped the dose the side effects are much, I have my fingers crossed for you xx

skates77 · 13/08/2008 11:28

Hi Giselle,

I think you should be at it every other day until you bleed, just to make sure.

My boyfriend is very much enjoying trying for a baby!

xx

Giselle21 · 13/08/2008 11:31

Wallacex, I also take metformin..... make me feel like pukin all the time but apparently if you have polyicystic ovaries it helps with your insulin levels which help with regualting ur cycle???? xx

Giselle21 · 13/08/2008 12:16

hahaha Skates77..... I was thinkin the same thing! The practice was great at first but then after two years i got swept up in the whole ttc world wind and it just wasnt fun anymore Just finished my 1st cycle today so will be at it as much a poss but am nervous to build my hopes up... i have been let down soooooooo many times. I cant help but think they arent workin??? xx

Tigger1976 · 13/08/2008 13:20

ADVICE NEEDED PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
(Apols if TMI at any point)
Am now on last day of first round of clomid (CD9). Was taking it 5-9.
Period still hasn't stopped. I do have long periods 10 days or so quite often, so this is not unusual for me - but somehow it seems odd to still have period when the last clomid tablet has been taken. Does anyone else have long periods and has still been bleeding when clomid finished? If so is this OK?
I am sure I am being stupid - but am just seeking reassurance that this is OK. I thought phoning my Dr seemed silly - but then tried anyway. But he is away for a week (I knew that but had forgotten).

PS Wallacex - Am getting bloods done on 26th. Will be keeping fingers crossed for you on Monday!

skates77 · 13/08/2008 14:33

Giselle,

I know what you mean, I am having to really make the effort for love making to be about just that and not all about ovulating, periods, clomid etc!

I am totally over excited about all of this and I keep trying to calm myself down but I just have a really good feeling.

Baby dust to us all

xx

Giselle21 · 13/08/2008 17:15

Me too skates77 the more nice things i read the more excited i get.... im only 21 but wen i was told it was goin to take longer than usual i just wanted it all the more. Hubby to be not bothered about havin to kick our sex life into over gear! haha xx

haylz · 13/08/2008 21:26

hi tigger
calm down..... dont panic......
it is quite normal 4 ur period 2 carry on even tho u have taken the last clomid. clomid dont rele change ur periods ok u mite bleed heavier but it doesnt matter how many days u bleed for as long as ur getting a period at the end of the day. due 2 my pcos i very rearly seen one but my gyno did say it should regulate me and it has a little i am having a period now bout every 35-40 days. so dont worry cause stress is a major problem for ppl like us. take care. baby dust 2 u all xxxx

Tigger1976 · 14/08/2008 08:34

Haylz - thank you thank you thank you I had got myself in a complete tiz. Was really obsessing and googling every possible way of phrasing the question along with every combination of keywords I could come up with - and I couldn't find anything. Thank you so so so much. You are wonderful! Squillions of oceansful of Babydust to everyone. xoxox

Giselle21 · 14/08/2008 15:42

Hi all, has anyone else had mild craps? Freaked me out yesterday, it was like a period cramp right on either side of my lower abdo. ???? xxx

skates77 · 14/08/2008 15:55

Hi Giselle,

I have been having cramps today, I used to get them very bad on my left side all the time before I started Clomid but today they are more on the right. Strange. good news is I do not feel as sick today and my headache is only just starting to appear which is slightly better than waking up with it!

Got my bloods booked in for 1st September, I just hope I have ovulated. Especially as my friend that is pregnant with twins is being induced on 26th August!

xx

Giselle21 · 14/08/2008 17:19

I havent been told anything about bloods??? All i was told was that IF i come on my period i should ring the clinic and they will perform a scan. If no bleed they just want to see me in 3 months..... Absolutly muddled with it all. Blurred vision is a bit better now i have stopped tablets. Sickness remains because of the metformin. The pain is not stabin anymore but i sneezed today an thought i was about to errupt! Just feel tender on either side and a bit bloated..... all normal i guess? How long have u bin tryin for a baby skates77?? xx

Sarah1109 · 14/08/2008 19:14

Hi all,

No news to report I'm afraid. I'm having a Clomid break at the moment, and it's no where near as stressful.

Going on holiday tomorrow for 2 weeks so won't be on here for a while.

Loads of luck and babydust to everyone, and I'll see you all again in a fortnight!!

Have fun!!!
