Clomid success stories please

Not sure if this has been done before but am due to start clomid next month and could do with some happy stories. Please let me know why you were prescribed it and how long it took to get pregnant.

I'm not sure if you can - it does not say on the instructions to avoid pain killers of any kind. (it does say head aches can be a side effect) I never thought to ask my consultant & I suffer with migraine this time of year! If I can find out I will do another post to let you know.

hi all came across this when typing clomid into google i am due to take my first tablet on day 2 of my nxt cycle which is due 2mrw iv had tests dun nothing seems to be wrong i am ovulating just not every month and my partner is fine had scans dun they came back fine so hopefully the tablets will work been trying for 7 months now have been preg b4 6 years ago at 18 but misscaried so i am really excited after reading all ur stories good luck to every1 xxx

I'v just found this site after looking up clomid.
I have just found out i am five weeks pregnant after taking clomid for seven months on 50mg.
I have psoc
Like many of you i have been on a rollercoaster.
I already have 2 children and thought i could have another no problem god was i wrong.
We have been trying for 3 years to become pregnant with no joy untill last september but unfortunatly i mc.
I was started on clomid in november and iv sufferd the hot flushes the delayed periods bad head aches but fortunatly they did not last more than two months. I was also put on metformin tablets but iv only taken them for one month. been told to stop everythink now.
Fingers crossed i can hold on to this baby.

Please keep trying and dont give up clomid realy does work hang on in there (smile)

I evenutally managed to get hold of my gyn doctor who told me I can take painkillers with the Clomid, which is a welcolme relief I can tell you. Do the side effects last the whole month or do the subside when you finish each course of tablets? I took my lats tablet yesterday from my 1st cycle...fingers crossed xx

Good luck with your clomid i finished my 1st cycle of clomid last week! i had the same side effects as you and the hot flushes were the worst part of it!!!!! but as soon as you finish taking the last tablet on day 6 the side effects go too so dont worry and just hang one tablets on in there!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy....Weve been trying for 10 months now but to no avail. both been tested nothing is rong though. im ovulatin and partners tests were normal so dont know why its not happening. Just finished taking clomid and waiting to see if anything comes of it this month. Congrats once again though! Keep us all updated on your progress....really happy for you.

Thanks Sarah1109 well im due on, on the 30th of this month so just gota see what happens. i dont want to do pregnancy test at the end of this month to be honest kuz i dont believe il see a positive result so im trying not to get too excited but if it is positive then its a bonus and il be overjoyed!!!! Im jus gona wait and wait and wait without doing a test what u rekon

I know what you mean. You read so many success storys, and so many not successful!! I'm with you on the side of you don't want to get your hopes up. I'm due on the 5th July. I'm gonna try not to do a test either but I know that's gonna be difficult. I'm probably gonna wait until I'm 3 or 4 days past being due, and if I've still not come on, I will have to do a test I reckon. I really hope this works out for us!! (I don't wanna have to take those pills again!!) Keep in touch. xx

I know how u feel! ive heard that with clomid your due dates actually change and alot of people start like a week late or something and think thee pregnant. hope thats not the case! but yeah il defo stay in touch. good luck to you......xx

hi angel008 started my first tablet tday i really hope they work is ths ur 1st cycle 2??? i cant believe how many people r on clomid makes me feel better knowing im not only person just found out tnt my auntie is preg and my cousin is due in dec so if i fall it wil make it 3 babys in space of few months :O

Well i got married afew months ago been ttc for 10 months now.Im fine, partnets fine so just waiting to see what happens. Ys this is my first round of clomid but im tying not to get too excited as dont want to be let down, really do hope it works though!

I know what you mean when you say you cnt belivee how many people r on clomid, there are loads of forums but i prefer to talk to the group on this one.

I finised my first course a while ago and am feelin some "twinges" sometimes, probs nothing though. This month when i ovulated i eally felt it bad though with the clomid, every step i too was mega painful but apat from that been alright.

I really hope the clomid works for you, im due on my periods on the 30th so will let you know what happens, probs be tellling you im starting my 2nd round of clomid. Sorry im so negative just dont wana be positive and get let down!!!

How long hae u been trying for???? Did all ur tests come ak ok? i have an ovulation blood test this thursday.....

are you having periods naturally? i am a little miffed as i used to have them last year, and now nothing!

i have a smal problem again can anyone help i have just taken my Northesterone (to get my period started) and my period should start within 2 days...well it hasnt, its only been 3 days but i dont feel like its going to come any time soon... does anyone know if this is normal or how long i should wait? this is my first cycle on it and obviously want to start taking my clomid? ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

even with bloody tablets my body doesnt want to do as its told

pixistat, let me know how you get on... do you have to test... did the specialist say anything enen though you have lost 1/2 stone, do you still need to loose more?...do you know if it make much of a differnce the clomid and a little extra weight?

oh i just hope i dont get 2 bad side effects(shock) aw angel008 i really hope it works 4 u yeah tests came bk fine to b honest i think it was the jag that made my cycle all over the place i was ine b4 that wooldnt recomend that 2 any1 heard lot o bad stories bowt it me and my partner have been trying 4 7 munths lied t my gyno and sed a yr as becoz im 24 they would have just told me t cum bk after another yr but i cant wait that long lol

I got really horrid headaches (which you can take painkillers for)and hot flushes. The headaches don't stay once you stop taking the tablets, but I'm still getting the hot flushes now and again!! Think I'm starting to ovulate today, coz I'm getting cramping pains down below!! .
