Just got 2 very very (very very very) faint lines. The magical due date doo-dah says 3rd Oct is the magic number. Who knows? It could all go tits up still, but if you, like me, suspect you might be in the early stages it would be nice to chat.

I'll start the list shall I?

helsbubble I really miss my spinning. I stopped as your not meant to overheat your core temp... But on the otherhand other things say to carry on as normal. I'm so impressed you have the energy to spin. I did two classes the week before my BFP and I though I was going to die!

littlehelp · 17/02/2014 20:33

Helsbubble
I'm into my spin pump step etc spoke to midwife and ok to carry on but listen tobody
I must be honest I'm only 6 weeks but. Boy I'm tired no energy for it lol

ohthegoats · 17/02/2014 20:37

I (usually) go to pump, attack, balance and I run a bit too. I ALWAYS have January off exercise (we go skiing at Christmas, so I ramp it up a lot in November and December in preparation, and also January is rammed with newbies at the gym, so I tend to avoid). Found out I was pregnant in the last week of Jan, so haven't done anything since Christmas! I've moved house though in the last 10 days, and cleared out flood damage from other places, so have done loads of lifting and quite a lot of walking. It's knackered me out if I'm honest. Tomorrow I go back to swimming.

Oh, I also had a class of fizz on my birthday (after I knew I was pregnant). One glass in 9 months aint going to hurt anyone.

Officelady - thanks!

Loopylu84 · 17/02/2014 20:41

ExcitedCJ please do not worry! You have to drink a LOT and on a regular basis to be at risk of foetal alcohol syndrome
Many women don't find out they're pregnant as early as we all have on here so there will be have been lots of indulging in 'unhealthy habits' for many prior to finding out they're expecting
Even if you have a heavy night a it were I really wouldnt worry Wink

ohthegoats · 17/02/2014 20:44

I should add, that the glass of fizz made me feed DREADFUL. Just in case anyone with nausea issues is tempted.

MrsF2510 · 17/02/2014 21:10

Helsbubble - in a netball player and im continuing with the exercise. It's going to be hard enough to give up for 7 months so I don't want to give it up yet. Am really aching from yesterday's match though!!

SweetPeaPods · 17/02/2014 21:48

We have a scan on wed am but that is under the recurrent mc clinic. However if we didn't have problems I wouldn't bother with a 6wk scan and instead have a private scan around 30wks. The gap between 20wk scan and baby coming is so long. We had a 4d scan with ds and it was great to see him again.
It's great that the nhs now offer the nt scan too

porcito · 17/02/2014 21:50

pebble, I'm living in Mexico at the minute and it's normal here to have a scan when you first go to the doctor, and then monthly from then on! (If you go private, which is 'only' about 20 pounds here.) I spent 2 weeks worrying because my first scan was at 4 weeks and they couldn't see anything!

The one last week at 7 weeks definitely put my mind at ease. I was lucky to see a heartbeat but I can imagine they would cause much more stress if nothing was seen. In my case, the bleeding they found is likely to disappear, the doctor said, so in a way, waiting for 12 weeks might have been more sensible. Sensible just didn't come into it this time last week I was a nervous, paranoid wreck!

Grannyapple · 17/02/2014 22:57

Hi ladies...that list is huge!!! I'm not on it either but will try to add to it on Monday after I've been to doc...but so far EDd is 19/10/14 & this us DC3 for us ??...;DS is 3 on Monday & Dd is 6.5 months...

hels if you've always done spin, pump etc, you should be fine to continue. I'm hoping to keep it up with this one again...managed to keep spinning til 26 wks last time before the incredible aching kicked in.

No real symptoms here other than a bit of cramping..& I now have a stupid cold/flu like virus...grr!

queenasanti3 · 17/02/2014 23:22

So many bfp, its hard to keep up the list is so long, but congratulations everyone.
Sweetpea Iam also having another scan on Wed due to the same reasons, just wishing u good luck x

helsbubble17 · 18/02/2014 04:11

I'm waiting little help, for the other symtons to kick in, when I'll have to start doing more gentle forms of exercise as you were saying pebbles!! I have a short shelf life before I will have to change.
I must admit I have told my close friends and family, and am semi kicking myself now, in case my lovely disappears. We were so excited at the news that I just couldn't keep it to myself!! Scary not knowing how your body is going to change next

SweetPeaPods · 18/02/2014 06:21

Queen good luck to you too.

TroubleAndFyfe · 18/02/2014 07:47

Wow Portico, that sounds amazing being able to see your baby grow month by month! Smile

TroubleAndFyfe · 18/02/2014 07:48

7 weeks today! Grin

magichandles · 18/02/2014 07:49

I hope those who are having early scans for whatever reason find them reassuring. We have a routine scan at 32 weeks here (I'm not sure why, I think it might be part of some ongoing research project) which I think is great.

I'm planning on running for as long as I can as I really don't want to pile on the weight this pregnancy, I had GD with my last two and I really want to minimise the effects this time if I can. As this is DC3, I suspect my pelvic floor might give up on me sooner rather than later though Wink.

KensalM2B · 18/02/2014 09:18

I'm hearing you all re: hormonal rage. It's embarrassing, especially at work. I feel completely possessed, but mainly by crying. I had a fairly straightforward meeting yesterday that was about 5% confrontational, usually I wouldn't blink... yet, when it was my turn to contribute I started balling... and I couldn't stop. It was mortifying. MORTIFYING.

Dear god tell me this doesn't last for the whole time?

MrsHende · 18/02/2014 09:27

Boy this thread moves fast!

Hello to everyone!

What a week I've had. This time last week I just felt tired, since then I've been in hospital for a scan for a suspected ectopic ( thankfully was just trapped wind!) and now the morning sickness has kicked in...

I had hyperemisis with my DD and I thnk that's exactly what I have gain. Can't move without retching or throwing up and the most I can eat in one go is half a weetabix. The doc wants me to monitor it for a wee while but I think I'm going to need medicine again in order to have any kind of life or to interact with DD at all without puking.

Feeling very sorry for myself Confused.

mrshende
These ladies are awesome

Mrsthedog · 18/02/2014 09:55

Sorry to hear about everyone's morning sickness - I hope it starts getting better soon.

I am having a bit of a freak-out for the opposite reason - I am six weeks today and my symptoms seems to have stopped. It could be that my morning sickness has not yet kicked in (and I am realising that I am very silly to be envious of it - poor ladies) but I am petrified that I have had an mmc.

Any advice on what to do? Just wait it out and see if my symptoms come? Make a fuss and see if I can get scan?

ohthegoats · 18/02/2014 10:07

Mine disappeared last week (sometime during week 7), but it only lasted 3 days then all came back with a vengeance. Honestly, I'd wait a little. Even if the worst has happened, you can't do anything about it over the next 48 hours. By then you'll probably be back to crying if something brushes a nipple.

bumpbangbump · 18/02/2014 10:09

Oh dear Kendal that really does sound a tad embarrassing!

mrshende sorry you're feeling so rotten, I hope you all feel better soon. Severe ms must be just aweful!

mrsthedog symptoms seem to come and go so try not to worry, easier said than done, and enjoy not feeling rough today. You never know it could be back full force tomorrow.

Got a letter from the midwife today. All my booking in blppds were normal so that's good. Feeling really weird about part of it though. Was very heavy last time and just over the limit for consultant led care. This meant I had 2 extra scans later on in pregnancy to see if the baby would be a porker. I've been doing slimming world since September and have gotten down to lighter than when o fell last time and now I'm under the cut off point. So no extra scans for me.

Obviously it's good that I've lost the weight but I wish i was having extra scans like last time!!! Oh well.

Had to jump back on the diet wagon today as I've been eating non stop for the past 2 weeks! Need to be much more careful this time round.

BumpyHeffalumpy · 18/02/2014 10:44

Hello everyone,
Did a test this morning and got a faint line, did another and got the same. So excited. Expecting DC2 late October.

tak1ngchances · 18/02/2014 11:10

We're just back from the hospital where we had an early scan.
Everything is in the right place and measuring spot on for 6 +5. Heard and saw the heartbeat which made me quite teary!!
Due date 9th October as suspected. So relieved!!

TinyTear · 18/02/2014 11:27

Juts a quick hello to say I had my scan today.

Measuring 6+2 but I could have been off my dates by a wee bit. there was a heatbeat which is the main thing..

not in the clear at all, but will see the consultant and have another scan in 2 weeks

fingers crossed

CareBearWithFangs · 18/02/2014 11:28

MrsH that sounds so difficult. How old is DD? I really hope I don't suffer to badly this pregnancy as DD is such a handful I'm not sure what I'd do.

Congratulations bumpy Grin

Kensal do they know your pregnant at work? Or did they just think you were having a strange moment?!

Taking chances that sounds so exciting.

I have sat DD down in front of pingu so I can have a brew and a biscuit as feeling quite tired today. Normally if she watches tv I feel like I have to do something useful to justify it so feeling a bit guilty about just sitting here.
