All of us May mummies are BACK like the Terminator only less deadly (unless preggo rage strikes and we're within waddling distance of sharp things)

Sorry to hear about your mum blue. Congrats on team pink!

polly - I've got a doppler but actually haven't used it since I've been feeling movements. Works well though.

McRedHead · 28/01/2014 20:30

dobedobedo I'm on that thread now!

I haven't lurked as I thought I might, but I just found you all after a bit of a miserable time post MMC, to say I've just had a BFP! Brew

Due 5th October (fingers-crossed emoticon!)

Happy 2nd trimester everyone. Hope it all goes smoothly for the last few months now. Home stretch, surely?!

McRed

dobedobedo · 28/01/2014 20:39

That's brilliant news Mcred! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin congratulations!

NannyPlumForPM · 28/01/2014 20:50

Oh wow mcred- CONFRATULATIONS!

Bezzabelle · 28/01/2014 20:50

I too have been going swimming- aim for 40 lengths about three times a week. Used to walk to work and back which is about 25 min walk but have been lazy and driving recently. Really need to try and counteract my excessive eating with exercise as weight going on at alarming rate. Today a colleague asked if I was expecting twins as I'm so 'massive'- his words! I wanted to cry. I'm so hungry all the time though.

My last day at work is 30th April so will have three weeks before c section to spend with ds before his life changes forever! And only working 6 days in April as have leave so that'll be nice!

Sorry to hear about bad news people are suffering at the moment.

ThistleLickerIsGoingToBeAMummy · 28/01/2014 20:55

Wowowowowowow mcred!!! Lovely news!!! Xxx

MoominIsGoingToBeAMumWaitWHAT · 28/01/2014 21:06

Congrats mcred!!!! Fantastic news!!! I do sometimes look at some of the other antenatal clubs, just to see how people whose names I recognise from the early days of this thread are getting on! :)

loopylou52 · 28/01/2014 21:44

Congrats mcred! Thanks

impatientlywaiting · 28/01/2014 21:52

BlanketSky · 28/01/2014 22:44

will read back in a sec but before I do-

if anyone is after a Maxi Cosi cabriofix car seat, Boots have the red one down to £87 www.boots.com/en/Maxi-Cosi-CabrioFix-Car-Seat-Intense-Red_1154939/

with parenting club points that's £8 or so worth of points back, plus N3WY34R gets you 10% off, and there's free delivery to store

We had one already, they are fab, but the cover on ours had gone mouldy. After battling to remove it and losing I decided it was just as well to replace the whole thing rather than just buying a new cover Blush so am quite pleased with this deal! And car safety is one of, if not the most, important thing (don't get me started on ERF- DS still rear facing at 3) so not a waste imo. Anyway, might help someone else

BlanketSky · 28/01/2014 22:51

yay McRed, v pleased. Hope you get a trouble free sticky one :)

My FiL had a quadruple heart bypass last year, it's changed his life really and made him be a bit healthier- more exercise and eating better (v fussy!). He has rib/muscle pain sometimes where they move muscles and ribs to do it but that's pretty much it. Hope your mum makes as good a recovery blue and pleased there's another girl expected!

Hope things get more positive for others too x

I have 18 days at work til maternity leave, hurrah- I'm 3 days a week mind, ending at 32 weeks. I can't wait! Whether I can walk by then is another matter entirely stupid PGP

BlanketSky · 28/01/2014 22:57

and hugs MrsFoo. I have had dark periods before and had PND after DS. Hope you have more of the better days and your DH gets that job!

re GTT. I did the Lucozade challenge yesterday- drink lucozade hr before blood test- hopefully it'll come back ok. If they're concerned by that result then it's full GTT. DS was 9lb8oz so I'm borderline risk but everyone round here has the lucozade thing

Vikks · 29/01/2014 00:07

Congratulations Pinkstone!!!
Are we still more boys than girls or level pegging now?

McRed amazing news, so happy for you!!!!

Slightly Shock at the October thread, where is the time going?!

Quick wave to everyone else. X

I'm just taking it easy here, BP is lower than it was. The whole family are looking after me (cute and a little Angry ), they won't let me do anything. Just going along with it, I certainly don't want to go back into hospital.

Xx Smile

Vikks · 29/01/2014 00:16

Re GTT, I'm having it too and have none of the risk factors. I didn't have it with my 1st PG. I'm wondering if it's different rules in different areas or if guidelines have changed in 3 years since I had my son?
I'm another one struggling with childcare to cover it but I know it's totally worth while.

mrsmummytobe · 29/01/2014 02:09

Great news, mcred! :)

Agh I'm having the worst night's sleep. Woke up about an hour ago & can't get back to sleep :( I'm now stressing about work, just a couple of colleagues who have been really funny with me recently. Can't for the life of me work out why but it's making the atmosphere there really awkward atm. Things always seem worse in the middle of the night don't they?! Hope you are all sleeping better than me!

bushprincess · 29/01/2014 05:14

blue so sorry to hear about your mother, hope the op goes well and she bounces back in time to enjoy grandmother duties!!

On the plus side - Congrats on team pink!!!

Sorry to hear about the house situation xavelli my parents also live in a village where the house prices have become stupidly high - there are some affordable homes in a couple of new developments, but pitifully few and the waiting list is seriously long so locals are having to move out in droves... being priced out of 'home' is horrid and not good for the community. I hope something suitable does come up for you at some time in the future

bushprincess · 29/01/2014 06:40

and huge congrats mcRed such great news! (managed to miss the last page of posts before I posted) opps

Minions · 29/01/2014 06:45

Great news McRed, congrats! Thanks for coming back to let us know :)

blue, hope your mum gets on ok this week and she has a quick recovery. Lovely news about your wee girl too :)

Hope everyone has a good day today and the beans behave themselves

mumof2aimingfor3 · 29/01/2014 06:59

Yay congratulations mcred! Take it easy and look after yourself. Check in with us and let us know how your getting on please. Xx

dobedobedo · 29/01/2014 08:44

I've just had the first round of blood tests for the gtt and I've drank that gross yellow drink. Bleugh. It's like drinking jelly tots, but not in a nice way.
For a blood phobic like me, it wasn't that bad. The nurse hid the bottles of blood from me so I didn't have to see them. Smile

MoominIsGoingToBeAMumWaitWHAT · 29/01/2014 08:50

I feel like I'm right back to the start now with the hormones and nausea... third trimester is definitely on its way Sad this morning I have only been awake for about half an hour, and already I've cried three times - once because OH lost my camera charger, once because he carried my book home for me and it was in his bag and not mine and I thought I'd lost it, and once because of a general "I'm not ready for my assessment tomorrow".

I doubt it's the last time I'll cry today either. I feel massive and heavy, baby keeps getting into really awkward positions, feels like my scar is about to rip apart and it's so painful, and I have The Guilt after getting OH to bring back a Maccies after work yesterday because I couldn't even move out of bed to get the potatoes on.

27+2! Eeek!
