Great news tc SmileSmileSmile

funnyfish2 · 30/01/2014 14:20

Bunnybaby, am with you! I am about 13 weeks now but look like I did when I was 20 weeks along with DD1. I think it's normal, well that is what I'm telling myself-- your body is meant to 'remember' being pregnant so it fills out much more quickly. I'm not eating like a horse though I should be exercising more (on to-do list for when I'm not so darn tired anymore).

I need to dig out my maternity clothes as I have only one pair of work trousers that still fit and I can't wear them every day. But too lazy and tired to dig through mountains of boxes!

Thatsnotmyfigure · 30/01/2014 15:07

TC that's great!!!
Am not really popping out but I do feel v bloated and uncomfortable in the evenings. Have turned the blinking house upside down looking for the one pair of maternity jeans I found in the shops that actually fitted me last time round. Grrr

CountdownBegins · 30/01/2014 15:09

Congrats TC! Same due date as me :)

BunnyBaby · 30/01/2014 15:20

Ha ha Lucy! I'm already there, mat skirt and jeans, it's just too uncomfortable without, although they're bulging on waist, they fit better on bum and legs, so a transferrance of excess fat to tummy at the mo me thinks.

I told a colleague today, and she said that she couldn't tell, until I moved scarf gently and she went 'ohhh!'

Am having an easier time of it this time, with DS2 I had horrendous water retention and was probably 10lb up at this point, so it's nice to not feel the water the whole time.

I'm worrying about covering up still and lots of you are now able to declare to the world, I guess the rest of us tail enders will be there soon!

I've not really been out of maternity wear since DD as I hadn't made any efforts to lose the last bit of weight! That's next year's job! :-)

BunnyBaby · 30/01/2014 15:27

TC, great news!

PinaColadas · 30/01/2014 16:04

Loving all the news, congrats Ruggle and TC

I've finally given in and am wearing maternity trousers, I'm glad it's not all in my head, a close collegue said to me today 'gosh you really do have a bump don't you' and it made me feel a bit better, i wonder if its in my head and i've always looked this round, but I can't fit in much that I could before now.

14 weeks tomorrow!

onion19632 · 30/01/2014 16:16

Great news Riggle and TC

onion19632 · 30/01/2014 16:20

Sorry pressed send to quickly!
AntoinetteCosway when I was pregnant with DD I had a terrible cough twice during my pregnancy. It was so bad that I managed to crack my ribs both times (and being told you cannot take anything other than paracetamol is not at all comforting! I was prescribed some co codamol though!) Anyway when I saw the consultant (after I turned up at the hospital for the second time in agony she look horrified and told me I could take a simple linctus - I was so pleased! If only someone had told me that the first time Smile

PinaColadas · 30/01/2014 16:27

onion That sounds awful! I've noted the tip of what you can take should it be required!

ItsSoFluffyImGonnaDie · 30/01/2014 16:37

Great news TC and Ruggle!

It didn't occur to me that I might not be able to see the screen at our scan - turns out the sonographer had her screen attached to the machine and we had a wall mounted one to the side, which I thought was pretty swanky! Grin

Anyone else getting horrendous spots? I'm lucky they don't last long I suppose but they're so bloody painful until the head appears (sorry, TMI). I've been using witch hazel and sudocrem but neither are really making much difference, so today I will mostly be trying tea tree oil!

BunnyBaby · 30/01/2014 19:08

Horace, I had 3 yrs since DS2 but still have a little section overhang, so a completely different shape on the waist. It makes it really feel strange trying to feel fundus due to extra scar and flap I didn't have between DS1&2. Though if I sleep on my back, it seems to pop up and I feel it better in the morning. How strange is that?!

Can't wait to wear those bump defining dresses again when I go public so I'm not too shy about asking for a seat on the tube.

Anyone else feeling shaky if you don't have something to eat as soon as you get up, and try to do things?

Had a beef burrito for lunch which really kept me going the whole day. Yum, my main craving is avocado, so pret wraps get hammered on the way home too!

Fed up of blocked sinuses. Don't remember them being this bad in the past.

Hi all,
I used to be R oses on the wane.
Had our scan today - they have put me forward to 13 weeks - new due date 8 th August.
All looks fine but they couldn't do the nuchal because the baby wouldn't turn over. The lovely MW tried for 45 mins but couldn't to it so we are having to do the quadruple test instead. A bit annoying but that's life I suppose. We are telling people now anyway as it is so obvious I think most have guessed anyway....!

BunnyBaby · 30/01/2014 21:06

Hi NoIam, people are updating the list with their new due dates, so if you skip back a few pages you'll find it there, and can just update with your details.

Good to hear from you again :-)

I know this is going to sound very paranoid but am 10+4 and feel like my boobs have started to shrink a bit. I know if could just be my mind tricking me, but had anyone experienced anything similar? Still 2.5 weeks till my scan and I'm nervous...

Secretlypregnant · 30/01/2014 23:14

Mssleepyhead, I know it's easily said, but try not to worry. Lots of people talk about symptoms disappearing. Your hormones are changing and your body is settling down and getting used to it. In so many places it says that symptoms come and go.

I hope that you manage to get a good night's sleep.

mssleepyhead · 31/01/2014 06:34

Thank you for your reply secretly. I know I'm getting close to disappearing symptoms stage, I just didn't think shrinking would be one of them. Still, I did sleep quite well, thank you : )

UpQuarkDownQuark · 31/01/2014 07:34

Hi all can I join? Edd is 25th Aug so I am 10+5 today with my first. Had my booking in appointment and I am just waiting on my scan date. A little nervous as I had a mc at 4 weeks last time and I had the tiniest amount of spotting this time. The only thing giving me hope is how rough I feel. Constant nausea and retching and why does no one tell you diarrhea is a pregnancy symptom?

babyspice2501 · 31/01/2014 07:37

Mssleepy mine shrinked about a week ago and was worried sick but then had a private scan and everything was fine. :) I have no sickness now and have to wait 2 weeks monday till my 12 week scan! Its horrible waiting when your paranoid but try not to worry

mssleepyhead · 31/01/2014 08:03

Baby - we're being scanned on the same day! Nice to have a scan buddy, feeling a bit left behind at the moment!

Tc80 · 31/01/2014 08:32

Morning all :) quick question - have those of you past 12 weeks stopped taking folic acid now? I have been taking single tabs of folic and separate single of vit d, understand I should continue with vit d but should I now ditch the folic? Pretty sure I should be just wanted to check x

Owlysims · 31/01/2014 08:36

Tc I think you can now, I would just take what you have left then stop if it was me Smile

Owlysims · 31/01/2014 08:39

Also those worrying about symptoms I have been feeling a lot better last few weeks (apart from backache) and wasn't to worries as had a scan on sat and all was fine, turned 11 weeks yesterday and bam I felt rougher than I have for ages! Nausea back with a vengeance, food and drink aversions back worse than ever and exhausted!! So i really wouldn't worry I'm sure your boobs will be triple the size in no time!!! Wink

PinaColadas · 31/01/2014 08:52

Baby I had to have a google after you mentioned sinuses and can't believe this is a pregnancy symptom! Only last night did DH say to me are you ok you sound like you have a cold, i'm constantly blowing my nose. Can't believe this is pregnancy related.

I too feel shaky in the morning, I used to have a pack of ginger biscuits in my bedside draw but now it's not as bad i'm managing to make it til breakfast!
