Hello everyone, off we go again...

I've told two friends who knew about my mcs, and at work I've only told the colleagues I share a room with, a lady who is collaborating on a project with me,and my boss, as it was obvious I was coming in really late most days, hiccuping very loudly all the time and running out to the loo frequently, and retching when anyone had hot food in the room.
I have had to take today and yesterday off work as I haven't been able to keep food or water down much at all. Porridge stayed down this morning, but water, crackers and hot choc didn't.... 4 voms yesterday and 3 today (so far)!! Sick of being sick!
Anyway, SCAN TOMORROW....and assuming there's actually a baby in my belly I shall be telling a lot of people at work who have been chasing me for stuff all week, and probably don't believe the "Off with a stomach bug again" line...though it has morphed into "stomach issues"...
I think I've finally found my bump. It's still really low, not yet above the pube line (sorry)...but defo feels firmer just there. I could be imaging it though...

Hi Ladies So lovely to catch up on the thread and hear so much good news! Congratulations on all the scans and test results!

We had the results of our combined screening through in the post on Monday - 1:3100 which is ok I think? It said low risk on the letter which was reassuring.

It's lovely to be able to tell friends etc. isn't it? I've got three friends who are currently living out of the country so I'm going to try to catch them on skype tonight before someone lets the cat out of the bag on facebook!

May I join the FB group too?

I've been lurking but not wrote anything for a little while. Loving hearing about all the lovely scans. Gets me quite jealous and impatient hearing about them though. Mine is in exactly 1 weeks. It feels like eternity.

Just got quite annoyed at my body. We had decided not to be sick anymore. Had lasted 6 whole days which is the longest I'd lasted since I started being sick at midnight on NYE. Hoping this is a one off and the puking bit of the pregnancy is over.

Ha yes awkward!! A friend from school guessed but my sister in law also commented...we cant do facebook before DHs parents they would kill us lol!!!!

Hello everyone, lovely to hear about all the scans. Congratulations!

I had another one today too - I decided to go for the Harmony test even though I came out low risk, and so I had the scan today and bloods taken. Results in two weeks, but the sonographer said that she would be astonished if there was a problem as everything looked as it should to her. I got about fifteen photos!

Same as everyone is saying, our normal hospital charges £4 a photo, so it was amazing to have all these shots. And they look in a lot more detail for this scan and let you listen to the heartbeat, none of which happened at the other scan. So it was a lovely day.

I took DD and my mum as she has never seen a scan before. DD was pointing and saying 'baby'. I explained to her that the baby was in my belly but she couldn't see it with her eyes. She spent the rest of the afternoon shaking her head at me, pointing at my stomach and saying 'can't see it'.

So great to hear all the good news.

I think the Oyster Max, Lucy. Side by sides are just too wide and I don't like a lot of the tandems!

Will have to research prams...we got the normal Oyster for last pg with carrycot and maxicosi and loved it

Oh lots of posts today! So nice to hear you all telling people! Very jealous but not long to wait now, a week on Monday, finally seems to be getting closer!! Just booked hotel and day out for dd's birthday (which is day after the scan) for next weekend so that's keeping me preoccupied and getting me excited! Hoping it'll pass the time before the scan as well

Owlysims- my scan is also a week on Monday so looking forward to seeing him/her for the first time.
Then going on a two week holiday to Australia to stamp our passports for our visa. (Has to be done by Oct) Haven't booked, need to just decide on exact dates. Abit of a rushed trip but have decided we need to do it now as DH can't go in April holidays and the summer holidays I'll be too heavily pregnant to want to travel. And a 1/2 month old baby with our 3 young kids will not be fun on the long flight.
At least it will make the next two weeks till my scan go quickly.

Hungry - she's 22 months. :-)

My dd had me in fits of laughter this afternoon secretly we told her about the baby in mummy's tummy and she promptly lifted up my top to have a look, then when I explained it was inside my tummy she started poking my belly button as if she'd be able to get in there to see it never realised how ticklish my belly button is!!

How lovely, Name - how old is she? I have just ordered a bunch of new baby books from the library to try to start introducing DD to the idea.

She's 27 months. Might look in the library for some books to explain it. Went in mothercare today but they had nothing aimed at the children. There's no library near work tho so have to wait for a day off to coincide with the village one being open, or brave a trip into town which I don't fancy!
