Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
babyspice2501 · 23/01/2014 18:13

Thanks for sharing jen and best of luck in the future xxxxx

Lucyfluff try not to panic. Take it easy tonight and phone epu 1st thing tomorrow. Sending you lots of hugs and will be thinking of you

Owlysims · 23/01/2014 18:18

Oh Lucy Confused I can't believe it either as you have such a close date to mine I really hoped we were both out the woods of bleeding and worry. I really hope it isn't anything bad and the bleeding doesn't amount to anything. ThanksThanks

lucyfluff · 23/01/2014 18:22

Thanks jazzy and everyone else...I appreciate the support. Just rang EPU and caught them before they shut at 6.30 - the lady said try not to worry and see how it is in the morning. They work off GP refferal so if its there tmrw I will call at 8am.

Just hope it goes away x

LakeOfDreams · 23/01/2014 18:23

Lucy you could try phoning the maternity unit and speak to someone. My midwife said if I couldn't get anyone at the epu and I was worried I could phone the maternity unit and someone would get back to me. They might not be able to do anything but maybe could reassure you a bit

Owlysims · 23/01/2014 18:23

Yes ring gp or midwife first thing whether bleeding has stopped or not as you should still get checked out for peace of mind. Personal question but did you Dtd last night? That can make people bleed? Also midwife asked me if I'd done strenuous exercise xx

Secretlypregnant · 23/01/2014 18:24

Lucy, my thoughts are with you.

Go to bed, if you can, and try to let your body rest tonight. Try to stay calm and do something to stop your mind whirring. Is there anything you like on TV tonight?

jazzyjenbo · 23/01/2014 18:26

Whether its there or not please get the referral, mine stopped after an hr or so on fri, went on monday and u know the rest, if i hadnt of acted I'd of still been posting on here that everything was ok.
Really don't want to scare you, and like has been said I thought I was out of the woods re bleeding etc.. My DD was 22nd Aug (9+3 on mon)
I'll check in tomorrow to see if ur ok, good luck x x

Jenbee1 · 23/01/2014 18:28

Thanks for sharing your story jazzy.
Positive thoughts for you lucy.

wejammin · 23/01/2014 18:39

Thank you jazzy for keeping us updated, and wishing you lots of luck and love for any future pregnancies you decide to go for.

Thinking of you Lucy, hope someone is with you?

Had 12 week scan today, my first one, all fine Smile . V shy baby did not want its photo taken though, was facing my back so the sonographer had to press really hard to make it wiggle to take the measurements, ouch!

However she's put me at 13 weeks 1 day so my EDD is 30th July now...can I still hang out with you guys?!

Owlysims · 23/01/2014 18:42

Wejam Great news and of course you can stay!!!

lucyfluff · 23/01/2014 18:44

No sex havnt since bfp Confused all I have had is bad poo (sorry tmi) twice earlier very loose and when it started normal. But its def blood not from there.

Just had a bath and its not there when wiping but I know water flow stops it. I will try to stay positive and im sorry for the me me me me posts tonight girls.

Ruggle · 23/01/2014 18:50

Lucy,
If you start filling a pad within an hour or less then best get to A&E, but otherwise there's not much they will/can do. They will most likely just refer you to the EPU in the morning for a scan. The worry with excessive bleeding is just about dehydration so they'd just put you on a drip.
Hope it turns out to be nothing to worry about!

x

HungryHorace · 23/01/2014 18:52

That's great news, wejam :-) And we've a few July-due babies, so of course you should stay!

And of course you're going to be thinking about yourself, Lucy. Just worry here as much as you like, it's what we are here for. xx

mssleepyhead · 23/01/2014 19:12

Lucy, someone close to me had this happen at 13 weeks, after her 12 week scan. After having to wait 3 days, she found out all was fine and is now 23 weeks. I just wanted to give you some hope tonight. Thinking of you and wishin you the very best x

funnyfish2 · 23/01/2014 19:22

Hello everyone, just checking in. I was on the original thread for the august babies but haven't posted in a long while. Lucy I hope things improve, and I hope someone is holding your hand through this. Jazzy, I'm so sorry for your loss, and all the best for the future.

My name seems to have disappeared from the list. I just had my dating scan today, everything is where it's supposed to be, and we saw the heart beating which was such a relief (had a MC in March so have been on tenterhooks with this one throughout these early weeks). Could I please get back on the list? This would be my 2nd child, I'm 39, and due date is 29 July now after the scan, although originally 3 August. For weeks I've thought of this baby as an August babe so prefer to stay with you lot if that's ok.

BunnyBaby · 23/01/2014 19:54

Jazzy - thanks for sharing your story, still a huge shock though, and it takes time to come to terms with it xxx

Wejammin - Congrats, great news!

Lucy - Please don't worry, my spots are usually caused by big poos and come from the front too. The uterus is growing and is near to the bowel, they do rub up against each other, hope it's settling down, and ditto the others about peace of mind at EPU x

Funnyfish - welcome back, no rules on the list just copy, edit and paste with your details :-) Great news on the san x

Goodness, lots happening. Sorry jazzy, rubbish news but you seem quite level headed about it. Lucy, as others have said, best to rest tonight and go for scan tomorrow. Fx all will be well for you. My friends sister has had further tests and found out hr baby has disabilities that are incompatible with life so is terminating - so so sad Sad

jazzyjenbo · 23/01/2014 20:43

I'm just of a medical background so trying my best to explain things in terms everyone can understand and should not b scared of if god forbid it ever happens to them.

I'm feeling ok.. But can't stop looking at baby names, forums, etc etc.. Keep thinking i am feeling 'kicks'
Can't explain how the mind tricks you!
The hardest part was walking out of the hospital yesterday. I could of sworn i had forgotten sumthing, then i realised that I had!

Shakshuka · 23/01/2014 21:41

Hello all
Just got back from my scan, all ok. Sonographer said nothing to worry about with nuchal thickness. She also said 99% certain a girl!

Lucy, ive been bleeding on and off since 5 weeks and all seems fine. Definitely get it checked out though, hope all is ok.

BunnyBaby · 23/01/2014 21:41

Jazzy - that little sumthing wasn't behind in the hospital, and will be right with you watching over you and your family forever xxx

BunnyBaby · 23/01/2014 21:42

Shak - that's great news, and really reassuring given my spots haven't let up over the past few weeks, yay x

Owlysims · 23/01/2014 21:44

Great news shak! Smile

HungryHorace · 23/01/2014 21:48

Excellent news, Shak. :-)

When's your next scan?

mssleepyhead · 23/01/2014 22:04

Wow shak, how far along are you that they could tell that already?
