August 2014 - 12 week scans and holding hands!

Hello everyone, off we go again...

Over anxious - I am Friday too. In fact I'm also EDD 4th and on dc2. Wish I was 25 through!! I'm having mine 11.55 (very specific!!). Nervous as hell.

With dd I drank far too much and was told to go for half a wee!! Nightmare!

I've had to tell a couple of people at work, bunny, because of an emergency scan and midwife appointment and needing to show paperwork to get time off. I'm wondering if the people who don't know have guessed yet though. I have a bit of a tummy now, but mainly there's no missing my new boobs!

So jealous still 20 days till my scan although I'm trying to put it to the back of my mind. I'll be 13+5 keep trying to rationalise it to myself that in theory as I'm being scanned close to 14 weeks it won't be such a long wait till my next scan... Yeah

I also have 3 weeks till my scan. It's so long away. If I wasn't feeling so sick and being sick, I would be very anxious till my scan date.
Could someone add me to the list please.

Getting scanned tomorrow girls but I think im the last in the fri club as my scans not till 6pm! But its a private one we paid for. Im loosing hope with my bubba. I think my boobs are getting smaller too. That cant be good. Im so nervous for my scan tomorrow now. I just want to know whats going on inside my body.

Awww baby Im sure all will be fine tmrw...try not to worry

I still havnt got a booking in for MW OR scan....may pester gp today.....

Also lucy id chase them up. Ive had my booking already and my scan date sent through the post monday for 17th feb and your futher along in your pregnancy than me.

Lucy My GP said to call the hospital (maternity reception) if I hadn't heard about my booking & scan so that's what I did & they told me over the phone. The letter arrived not long after. Worth a try maybe?

Baby, I'm sure everything is OK. Please try not to worry (yes, impossible, and I'm a hypocrite). xx

Lucy, I second calling the midwives at the hospital. Is there an antenatal clinic? They'll be able to tell you on the phone what's going on.

I'm just willing time away until Monday now, it has to be said.

DD is 7 months old today...god knows where time goes. At least she's a bit of a distraction from thinking about the pregnancy. A bit!

Lucy ring midwife unit just in case! My doctor was WRONG when he told me that i would get booking and scan done at the same time and if I hadn't called midwife I would have never had booking in and never had scan. The midwife said no idea why doctor said what they did as without booking in you can't book a scan. (Which fits in with what happened with dd and seemingly ever other lady on here!) you are 10 weeks tomorrow and midwifes would rather you ring as something isn't right! You should know by now!!

I'm 11 weeks today, Fatty. Seems crazy that my scan is on Monday but you've so long to wait for yours. :-/

I thought you were telling me off then fatty lol...no you guys are right the thing is Im being a pain and had to be referred to the hospital I went to previously and im out of 'catchment' as they say! Will wait for post to come today and if no news will get on pestering

Thank you hungry :) Ive googled it and seen that other women have had the small boob thing and still had healthy pregnancys which made me feel better so fingers crossed!

Ha ha not telling you off Lucy telling the bloody doctor off!! Not fair to leave you this late not knowing! Poor you! Just wanted to make it clear you're not pestering you're very far along to not know! Sometimes doctors have no idea about pregnancy or the protocols so always worth checking it out! My doctor is the lead gyno for the surgery ffs!!

I know hungry it does seem ages away but I'll only 12+4 so really in grand scheme of things could be a lot worse some poor sods are 13 or 14 weeks!! This week has gone quite quickly doesn't seen very long ago I was thinking it was 3 and half and it's nearly two now...(well more like 2 and half but I shall tell myself two and the weekend doesn't count ) how you feeling about Monday? Excited?? Nervous?? Both!!

Sometimes you just have to pester, Lucy! You're far more patient than me, it has to be said! :-)

And thank you. She is cute, most of the time. Though her first two teeth are coming at the moment and she's taking it badly, poor thing. I'm hoping once the second is fully through the gum we will get a bit of a breather from it.

I'm still worried. Not only about MMC, but about twins...how would I cope with 3?!?!

But I can't wait to announce it and get the 'OMG, isn't it a bit soon?!' comments from people. :-) Funny!

My gp told me to hassle the antenatal unit the day after my referral, so it must be common for them to sit on referrals if they aren't chased. When I phoned they arranged both appointments, booking in at 6 weeks and scan at 12.

11 weeks today. Thrown up already. Urgh. Scan next Thursday. Yikes!

My sister had her 20 week scan yesterday. All good...and she found out sex.

Baby, don't worry about boob size, I stayed in my normal underwired bras for the whole of the pregnancies with DS1 & DS2, I switched to breastfeeding bra once my milk came in, but once feeding established they stayed the same size as pre-preg. Am pleased with that as am Ecup so didn't fancy growing beyond that. They also didn't go droopy after feeding two for a year each, and avoided strech marks so there is hope! (though my tummy is well and truely ruined).

yeah, I agree with Bunny, my boobs have done nothing except hurt! they haven't grown at all... are usually an A-cup, and are still... an A cup!

Horace and Ruggle, I'm 11 weeks today as well! My due date is down on the list as the 15th because I averaged out my cycles to 29 days, but there were only four of those after coming off the pill so maybe I'll end up with the same due date as you both too! I'll update the stats after my scan if the due date changes - I got the letter yesterday and my scan is on Monday which is much sooner than I was expecting! Am excited and of course nervous too.

I've been throwing up quite a lot, more than when I was pregnant with DD, but that's possibly because I've been eating to stop myself feeling sick whereas before I just didn't eat for the first trimester! Am currently stuffing my face with crisps...

Really sorry to hear that some people have had bad news, hope you get very good news in the near future x
