We've now welcomed mini sun, dawn, kat, zazou and selfies (please tell me I haven't missed anyone...)....who will be next?!

Those of us waiting impatiently will be showing down on dates, pineapple, RLT and curry while having awkward whale sex.

shrops it's all good signs that things are happening, I expect when things get moving it'll move at pace.

notone ooh good luck with your nct outing. DH and I were thinking of going to bumps this morning but we'll see if we get that far! Little one is still feeding...

ruggles I'm so pleased to hear your pregnant and past the 12 week stage. Great news! I lost lots of weight until I was 20 weeks and my baby is just fine. I was exhausted but it did mean I have more energy with a new born than I ever did whilst pregnant. My overall weight gain was low (I'm back to pre pregnancy a week after giving birth) and bump measured small throughout but nothing wrong with my little one.

EeyoreIsh · 05/02/2014 09:09

shrops DH gave me a £1 bunch of daffodils yesterday, does that count as a push present? Grin to be fair, he's taken two weeks unpaid leave to be with me.

ruggle excellent news on your pregnancy, I remember you! Hope your sickness subsides soon (although some ladies suffered almost to the bitter end)

shrops I want your DH! I've been dropping hints at mine that a small gift to thank me for the past 9 months might go down well but I've got a feeling I'll be lucky to get a bunch of flowers! Love the idea of going on holiday and getting a ring!

Ruggle · 05/02/2014 09:40

Thanks so much for the advice Champagne.
I seem to have 3 or 4 bad days followed by 1 or 2 not so bad (yesterday and today) but a couple of weeks ago I wasn't keeping anything down, including water, and was prescribed cyclizine. When I collected it from the pharmacy I was told that if at all possible I should not take it. I read the leaflet.and some of the side effects sounded horrendous...so I didn't take them. I took a urine sample to my scan and a nurse checked and said I wasn't dehydrated (amazingly) and since then I have been keeping some water down, but an awful lot comes back up when I am sick. Yesterday I only threw up first thing in the morning but had horrible nausea all day and a permanent taste of soap scum in my mouth really makes it hard to eat...especially sweet things. I just wish I could go a day withour puking. It 's so exhausting.

You must be so excited about the baby coming...any day now I guess...!

Eyeorish, congrats on your little bundle!

xx

Happy due date to me! And anyone else due today. Since I've been on ML I've dropped off the thread a bit, which is weird because I'm not really doing much else. Must make effort to keep up...

Congratulations Ruggle and hope you are feeling better soon. It will pass eventually but realise every day is a struggle while you're feeling it. Dead chuffed for you though with your excellent news Grin

I thought it was all kicking off for me last night. Woke at 3:30 with terrible period like cramps, occurring pretty frequently. Also had a small amount of wetness but not anything like last time my waters went. Tried to sleep but was very fitful. Then when I woke this morning at 7 it had all stopped. Baby feels very low and bump is achey but no signs of labour kicking in. Very different to last time when my waters went at midnight and DS was born by 4.20 am. DH is working from home today just in case but I suspect this baby is not going to appear on it's due date. Shocker!

CubanoHabana · 05/02/2014 10:38

Congrats ruggle so pleased it's all worked out for you - thanks for updating us...

Sassy20 · 05/02/2014 10:52

Congratulations Ruggle - I'm so pleased for you!

Shrops - sounds like your baby could be the next to make an appearance. I love your dh's idea of a push present!!! I mentioned it to mine and he just looked at me like I was mad! X

lastnightopenedmyeyes · 05/02/2014 10:53

Congratulations ruggle! I remember you. I had a mc last march so this is my 'rainbow baby' and I'm so glad you have the same good fortune. I hope the sickness passes quickly for you and thanks for updating us xx

marzipanned · 05/02/2014 10:54

Hi Ruggle, I don't think we were ever on the thread at the same time because my hypermesis was so horrible at the beginning I couldn't bear to look at a computer screen, but I'm really happy to hear that you have a healthy little one inside you now and so sorry that you had to suffer through two losses to get here. Pregnancy can be awfully tough.

On the sickness front, I took cyclizine for months and no scans (and I've had rather a lot!) have shown any adverse effects on baby. I couldn't manage without it and all the doctors (including gynae, obstetrician and GP) were unanimous that it's much riskier to be dehydrated than to take these meds.

Timing wise my experience was similar to Champs, but yours' won't necessarily will be! And as DREADFUL as it is - and it really was one of the hardest times of my life, despite how happy I was to be pregnant after fertility treatment, it does pass. Eventually.

Shrops I'm lost...you're being induced on Saturday now? Weren't you being induced yesterday? Confused I just had 40+1 appointment and won't be getting fisted til next week after all.

Good luck to all of those with early labour signs - I'm currently 3/5 engaged, measuring small, going for a scan this afternoon.

Anyone got a link to the bra fitting guide that's been posted before? X

Shropshiremummy2B · 05/02/2014 14:25

Keep up marzi!!!

I know, confusing.

Friday- You have high bp.
Saturday- it's not pre e.
Monday- you still have high bp. Il let you know by the end of the day if your wee is ok.
Monday 9.30pm- your wee is a worry, we're inducing you tommorow.
Tuesday- what are you doing here? You're fine. Have a good old fisting/lesbian encounter sweep.
Tuesday PM- lost mucous plug, some cramping.
Today- fuck all.
Tommorow- another good old fisting/lesbian encounter sweep.
Saturday- if nothing has happened we'll induce you!

All the above whilst nursing a cracked rib. Ouch.

notoneforselfies · 05/02/2014 14:51

Good luck for the scan Marzi. Let us know how you get on...
Congratulations Ruggle! I remember you from the early days - delighted to hear you're up the spout! Sorry to hear you've got sickness...
Outing went well, DS slept throughout the whole thing. He was grizzly last night so he's sleeping hard to make up for it today (and cluster feed again tonight no doubt) Felt a bit behind as I've missed the last 3 weeks meetings where they had all been bonding, but hopefully I'll catch up and things will even out over time as they're a lovely bunch. I do get nervous in these scenarios though, despite confident appearances to the contrary! (I'm a marvellous actor dahlink) It's been a long old time since I had to make new friends - it's a bit scary really!

laura0007 · 05/02/2014 15:55

lol shrops you do make me laugh Grin
Let us know how you get on with your scan marzi, I'm jealous. I want a scan Hmm... Or a baby!!!

Littleen · 05/02/2014 16:04

Congrats ruggle, I do remember you from before, glad to hear you finally made it past 12 weeks! Best of luck :)

My head is too foggy to give any sensible responses, so I'm just going to go and have a cup of tea instead I think :P

winterflowers · 05/02/2014 16:11

Congrats ruggle the 12wk scan is such an exciting milestone!

shrops sounds such a confusing weekend, nice.to have a plan

Hope the scan went well marzi, sounds positive LO is engaged. Mine's the same but mw was utterly noncommittal about it. Bleurgh

Middy75 · 05/02/2014 16:18

Awe congratulations Ruggle, hope the sickness subsides soon.
37+5 and feel like utter shite today. My days seem to consist of me being knackered during day and not sleeping on a night due to pressure and lower abdo pain which isn't there during day, meh! Was going to post a bump pic on FB today but can't even be bothered to stand in front of a mirror. I know I have induction booked for Mon so should be thankful I have an end in sight but I'm just feeling so miserably fed up

rueyrichardson · 05/02/2014 19:25

Lovely to hear your update Ruggle, though sorry you feel rough.

Had a sweep today (I am 39+4), and it was horrible. I wasn't going to bother but I kind of got talked into it (in a nice way). Good news that I was favourable enough. Now I feel like crap, similar to Shrops I am sure. Back ache etc.. Going to have a bath with some clary sage oil in it and maybe a small glass of wine, followed by bouncing.

Hope everyone's hanging on in there!

Julietee · 05/02/2014 20:45

Just had the last pre-birth meeting with our doula. Very happy, she is awesome and always makes me feel calm and excited :)

Littleen · 05/02/2014 20:53

Julietee Glad to hear you are calm and happy with your doula :) Nearly ready then?

Middy Sorry you have such a hard time, try looking at the gorgeous babypictures on fb, cheered me up anyway ;)

ruey Hope you get some results from the sweep soon :)

bugsyburge · 05/02/2014 21:09

evening ladies,

been busy on here today!!!

Looking forward to hearing some more babies will be arriving soon, 39weeks tomorrow for me although I think I'm happy to keep bean in for a bit longer as I'm getting more and more anxious about actually giving birth!!!!

shrops I'm having baby jewellery.... I'm giving my DH a gift that money can't buy so I think it's only fair that I get a diamond band Grin

congratulations ruggle, wonderful to hear that you're past the 12 week stage.... I didn't have.any sickness so I can't help but fingers crossed it improves for you

winterflowers · 05/02/2014 22:56

Oh middy me tooo! Knackered all day and then just unable to get.to sleep at night. L uckily once I am asleep I'm going through a phase of only being up two or three times but the actual gwtting to sleep when sooooo tired is a nightmare.
