We've now welcomed mini sun, dawn, kat, zazou and selfies (please tell me I haven't missed anyone...)....who will be next?!

Those of us waiting impatiently will be showing down on dates, pineapple, RLT and curry while having awkward whale sex.

have many of you hired/bought/previously used tens machines? what are yiur thoughts?

Bumpiemalumpie · 06/02/2014 01:51

hey, just nestling in with nb during 1st night feed to say - I used a tens machine and it was great I initially. I had a back to back labour and it took the edge of for the first few hours!

Good luck all xx

EeyoreIsh · 06/02/2014 02:06

I used a tens machine until transition, it was fantastic.

KalevalaForMePlease · 06/02/2014 02:15

Hi all, I'm 37+5, DD born at 38+3 so all starting to get a bit real! DH has been off with a virus of some kind the past few days, so he's been putting his feet up while I look after him! Am building up quite a store of brownie points though, which will be useful in the coming weeks. Good luck to all!

lastnightopenedmyeyes · 06/02/2014 02:26

I hired my tens machine both times. I don't know how I'd have coped without to be honest. Amazing relief for me, I used all the way through both times and found it to be as essential as the gas and air (I didn't use any other pain relief).

Ladybird81 · 06/02/2014 03:32

Feeling sorry for myself :(
Have a hacking cough that just does not want to shift, if anything is as bad as when I had it at the start.
I'm worried I'm still going to have it when I'm due to go in for my section, and it's filling me with dread.
Have been awake for 2 hours now while DH and DS snore their heads of I'm my bed!!!
I'm worried when I get out of hospital and DS is still waking and coming in how I'm going to cope, but I guess I'm just gonna have to!
Hope everyone is getting a good nights sleep, and those new babies aren't keeping you up too much

pettyprudence · 06/02/2014 07:59

good morning Grin well my wee pattern seems to be every 4 hours in the night - I will be very happy if its an indication of babies prefence when to wake for feeds Smile .
I am going nesting crazy this week and have grand cleaning plans for next week too. then baby can come Wink

no sign of shrops this morning... do we have another thread baby??????

Sassy20 · 06/02/2014 08:10

Bugsy - I hired a tens machine with dd and would recommend - it definitely took the edge off till I got to the hospital. X

Shropshiremummy2B · 06/02/2014 08:26

No petty, I'm still very much intact. Another sweep today and induction 8am Saturday so put me down for a weekend baby please.

marzipanned · 06/02/2014 13:22

Ah now I understand Shrops. Wouldn't say no to a weekend baby myself! (that's this weekend, baby, if you're listening...)

My friend gave me her tens but I need to buy some pads, must get on with that!

Thanks all who sent luck for scan - baby is just fine, measuring right on 50th percentile in fact! So back to drumming my fingers...

Glad your outing went well notone...I never would have had you down as shy! :)

Hi, this is Gnittinggnome's DH.

Our son, Wesley, arrived last Tuesday at 7lbs 8oz. Sadly, however, Gill suffered complications and was rushed into intensive care following delivery. After a hard fight she passed away peacefully on Sunday, surrounded by family.

Throughout her pregnancy she spoke fondly of many of you on this thread, buoyed by your wisdom and strength and humour. If I have the strength I will join myself so that Wesley and I can benefit too

Best regards and my utmost best wishes

James

Sassy20 · 06/02/2014 16:09

Dear James and Wesley,

There's nothing at all I can say to offer any comfort but please know that we are ALL thinking of you. Gill always had so many lovely and helpful words for all of us. She came across as an amazing, funny and thoughtful woman.

Please let us know if there is anything at all we can do - if you would prefer to write in a more private place we have a group on facebook which she was also a part of - I know that any of us would be happy to do anything at all we could.

Much, much love to the two of you xxx
