I have a denim skirt from Jojo, and I LOVE it. It's the comfiest thing in the world. Not much use for work, but great otherwise.

FriendofDorothy · 17/02/2014 21:59

Draf which Jojo denim skirt do you have? They all look really short and I have fat knees!

FrankelInFoal · 17/02/2014 22:07

I found stretchy dresses the way to go. A lot easier than worrying about finding 2 items, ie a top and a bottom.

I bought this dress and another that seems to be out of stock now. I also had some "normal" dresses that were suitably stretchy to accommodate me for a while.

eurochick · 17/02/2014 22:08

OK, I've ordered 2 dresses, a skirt and two wrap tops for starters and I will see how I go. It's work stuff I need initially. I can still cram myself into normal jeans and leggings.

FrankelInFoal · 17/02/2014 22:11

Don't forget the hair and trick to get a bit more life out of your trousers - loop a hair band through your button hole then loop the other end if it round the button - it'll give you another inch or two! Plus you could try a bump support band which will hold you in a bit. I've got this one and it is bloody comfy Grin

FrankelInFoal · 17/02/2014 22:12

Meant to say, legging-wise don't bother with maternity ones, I just started buying cheap ones (£5 each) in a larger size Grin

maamalady · 17/02/2014 22:21

Wrap tops are wonderful, good choice :)

I have this skirt, dor - it's the longest denim one! It's about knee length, which is as short as I'm willing to go, as I also have ample knees. Being 5'3" is useful fir once!

FriendofDorothy · 17/02/2014 22:49

I've looked at that skirt a few times and thought it was nice.

eurochick · 18/02/2014 13:33

frank I've had the hair elastic trick on the go for a while, but I don't find it works that well. A bump band might be a good idea though.

The denim skirt is nice. It's tricky thinking about what will you from February to August. Confused

Sounds about normal bugs!

I hope they're expecting to ease you in gently - 10-2 sounds like a good place to start back from. And with the evil farts a short days is probably to your colleagues benefit as well Wink

Sounds good, bugs :)

eurochick · 18/02/2014 20:41

bugs that sounds like a decent way to return. Re the bum bullets, presumably you've used san pro in those loos before? It's not really that different. I've done them at work (in the loos), in bar loos, in airport toilets, in horrible plane toilets... I'm basically the bum bullet martini girl...

On that delightful subject, I have my last half one to do tomorrow (the end of my week of tapering). I am declaring Thursday Reclaim the Euro Bumhole Day.

I'm going to a breastfeeding support group tomorrow to have a chat with a local lactation consultant to see if I can pick up any tips/advice in advance.

MyNameIsWinkly · 18/02/2014 21:51

I'm rather looking forward to Reclaim The Euro Bumhole Day now. Is anyone bringing cake? :)

frank if you pick up any top tips do please share.

Ligament pain. Ow ow ow. My groin is spasming on and off like a total motherfucker. When it spasms walking, and even standing, are next to impossible. Apparently this will ease off by about 24 weeks. I do hope so.

FrankelInFoal · 18/02/2014 22:11

Will do Winks. The lady that runs the group (and several others in the local area) is based in Ely and HWHNN and I have talked about the possibility of having a consultation with her if I struggle. It's got to be worth a try if it will help in the long run. This is her.

CatsCantFlyFast · 18/02/2014 22:32

Winks it may not ease off and may be the start of SPD. Unfortunately not many midwives properly understand it and therefore it rarely get treated properly. Can you find a chiro who specialises in the Webster technique to assess you?

SinkyMalinks · 18/02/2014 22:39

Frank, I've got the same on thurs. Hoping for that step by step guide for how to breast feed successfully and painlessly (still waiting for the one on sneeze birthing)

Hosp visit on Sunday. And have been making plans for mat leave week 1.

This is real people.

Winks you have my sympathies. It did ease off for me, but like merk says, think about getting advice if it gets/stays bad.

Phew, I didn't miss the Euro Bum Party. Late Aa always, but I can bring cake and non- alcoholic cocktails pointless

It is very real, frank, merk and sink :) top tips may be shared...

Sorry about the pains, wink! I didn't have it, but follow the sensible advice and get yourself checked if it dies not clear up.

On other news, I slept last night! The MW suggested a whole load of homely tricks, no idea which one worked but it was so nice. Turning over after a wee and going back to sleep! :)

SinkyMalinks · 19/02/2014 08:17

Urgh. Jealous Driz. I couldn't sleep till 11ish, then woken at midnight by GHJ who's struggling to come off nights. I then woke every hour with shitty hip pain and needing to roll over. Rolling over now requires a levering arm and leg, and walrus like noises. And when I wasn't waking to turn I was waking to pee. Sigh. And I kept GHJ awake as I'm snoring like a badger (Do badgers snore?). I have generously given him permission I use the spare bed...

And.... (Full moan mode) I had to be smart for work today. Skirt (the increasingly mini one) only fits by the skin of my teeth and getting my tights on was a fecking joke.

But at least it's half term, so commute took 8 minutes rather than 50! Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 19/02/2014 08:18

Driz I'm assuming you actually got up to go for a wee and didn't just do it in bed then turn over and go back to sleep? Grin
Can I have the sleep tips please, I've almost forgotten what sleep is
