Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
kittykatsforever · 22/01/2014 11:32

I'm sure to is it will feel quick, to you a thousand years Hmm I'm sure it will all be fine though, the chances of anything going wrong after you have seen a hb are v v v small x
BARGIN ALERT!!! Big boxes of pampers baby dry nappys at £7.50 in morrisons, nappys from size 4 box of 86 up works out less then 10p a nappy which is as good as it gets ladies

twinklestar2 · 22/01/2014 11:37

I keep thinking that I saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks and 8.5 weeks which is good. Feel like its taken so long to get here that if anything were to go wrong I don't know how I'd cope. I need a slap!

tedmundo · 22/01/2014 14:31

Seeing a heartbeat makes your odds very very good indeed. But of course worrying is a part of it. Is anyone truly relaxed about pregnancy??

Did it all feel a bit bonkers at the booking in? I had really weird paranoia thinking that she may think I am faking it or one of those phantom pregnancies. Not one single hcp asked for me to do a test so I could have been lying through my teeth about my BFP.

Bruce is so much better today. Currently asleep in cot rather than on me. Progress.

Alex, how are you guys today? X

twinklestar2 · 22/01/2014 19:12

Thanks ted, at least I know I'm normal!

Good to hear baby Bruce is feeling better :)

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 22/01/2014 20:33

ted glad Bruce is on the mend.

kitty damn it. I just bought a load of nappies from Tesco - I was lazy and got it delivered, so much easier than dragging a baby and a toddler round the shops.

twinkle I think the chances of everything going well if you've seen the heart beat at 8 weeks is something like 98% - pretty reassuring odds. Be prepared for a load of questions on domestic violence, everyone I know said the midwife was a bit obsessed with it.

Thingymajigs · 23/01/2014 09:36

Aww, glad Bruce is feeling better. Smile
When is your scan twinkle? I imagine the wait is dragging out forever. Just try to remember that we all freak out before the scan imagining the worse possible outcomes but that doesn't mean anything will be wrong. You will worry all the way through, I'm 38 weeks and this baby still gives me scares when he stops moving. It is worth all of this stress though. And the relief after your scan will be immense. Smile

twinklestar2 · 23/01/2014 23:09

Next Tuesday, it can't come quick enough!

BlearyeyedLol · 24/01/2014 23:13

Not long for scan then twinks. Nothing we can say will stop you worrying. It's just one of those things!! But the odds definitely are in your favour. Keeping everything crossed!!

fatasbutter · 25/01/2014 10:08

Ah good luck for Tuesday winkle - I can totally relate - I was a bit nervous the first time I had a scan but after the 2 mmcs I found it terrifying! Like the others say the odds are good, but I know that won't help either so will just keep fx for u Smile

Am 37 weeks today. Just under 2 weeks til I get my c section date and trying not to jump up and down too much! So excited as we have got a new house and will be moving in when baby is around 6 weeks old - almost making my insomnia worse as I keep getting excited about it! We'll have a garden and everything!!

kittykatsforever · 25/01/2014 10:32

Wow fatas you've got a lot of excitement comming your way!! I'm Envy especially new baby
I've got a poorly bubs too it's not good and I'm discovering it might be easier to have two poorly kids then one ill and the other wanting to go out and play

twinklestar2 · 25/01/2014 12:23

Thx everyone.

Exciting times ahead fatas!!

kittykatsforever · 26/01/2014 10:32

2 sleeps winkle!!! What time??

kittykatsforever · 26/01/2014 10:32

Red how are you getting on??

twinklestar2 · 26/01/2014 12:29

9am - kitty!

12 weeks today! And have been retching! Yay!

Thingymajigs · 26/01/2014 13:49

Yay! It's good that you have an early appointment. It's easy to work yourself up when you have to wait till late afternoon for a scan. It will be fine and you get to have your first clear pics of your baby. Smile Unless he or she is constantly face down like mine.
I'm so tired. I feel like I'm in the first trimester again. The good news is that I can sleep again after months of insomnia. But now I fall asleep all the time. Where is my last furry of energy??
Good news with the c-section date and the house move fatas. It must be nice knowing a definite date for baby's arrival.
How are all the babies doing?

Thingymajigs · 26/01/2014 13:52

*flurry
sigh The tiredness isn't helping my bran function atm.

Thingymajigs · 26/01/2014 13:57

*brain!
Right, time to give up on typing today. Blush Grin

fatasbutter · 26/01/2014 18:08

Lol @ thingy! I wouldn't mind a new bran and a furry of energy too (sigh as well!) and a definite c section date wouldn't go astray either Wink
I'm so tired at the moment and constantly waking up through the night - I'm also dehydrated as I don't want to drink before bed cos it makes me get up about 5 times a night - grrr! Confused

twinklestar2 · 26/01/2014 20:04

Poor thingy :(

RedRobin1 · 27/01/2014 04:33

Goodluck twinkle it will be lovely to see your little one and it will all go well xx let us know as soon as you can.

I have had a bit of a rough time. My stitches got infected last week and was traumatised by GP suggesting they might have to reopen them to drain the infection. Got antibiotics but they weren't kicking in. Been in a lot of pain on the infected side. Surgeon said they would give it 5 days on antibiotics, if not they will need to do keyhole to drain the infected pus. Really scarred by c section for life. Sorry fatas not to put you off and yours might be a much better experience than mine.

I haven't felt this depressed in years. Just want to heal and get better so I can do more for dd.

she's been good so far but is showing signs of having colic. She arches her back and grunts in pain before passing bowel movements. Grunting and little cries go on for 45mins in her sleep sometimes or can be 15mins before she wakes up. Trying dentinox and it seems to be helping.

thingy not long for you now! I never thought I'd say this but I do miss pregnancy as could atleast get some sleep in!

kittykatsforever · 27/01/2014 07:25

Red Hmm poor you, it's so awful when the recovery takes longer then expected and you just want to be able to get on, I hope the ab kick in and work as the other doesn't sound pleasent but I'm sure if you have to have it it will fix it a lot quicker which is good, when I had to go back into hospital with dd2 it was the pits and I got really depressed but it was a quick fix and I was home and feeling better 24 hours later, take lots of warm baths with salt in aswell, if nothing else it might make you feel better, how long is your dh off for to help?

RedRobin1 · 27/01/2014 08:17

Kitty he's back at work already but is working from home to be around us. Did you have a section too? Were you back in hospital for stitches too?

OP posts:
kittykatsforever · 27/01/2014 12:28

No I didn't, I had a blood patch as when I had an epidural the anethatist did it wrong and put the injection in the wrong place, basically she put it in the spot where you would have it if you have a c section but with the epidural needle which instead of being hair thin is like biro size which caused my spinal fluid to leak out and then causes your brain to sag and causes excruciating headaches, I had to be hospitalised as you can only lie doesn't without being in agony and 9/10 times it fixes itself with fluids and cafine and mine would have eventually but after 24 hrs it was worse so I decided to have a blood patch as it's an instant fix as I didn't want to be in pain for days/weeks , it was horrible as after dd1 I was shopping at the Trafford centre day 2 not a care in the world but this when I had a toddler at home too was horrible, I had to have the midwives put dd2 on my boobs for me as I couldn't sit up for a second so it goes to show whatever birth you plan there are things that go wrong I was lucky that after that I went back to 100% almost straight away so by a week after birth at the time though it was so upsetting not to know when/ if I would feel better and scary as the patch is the same as an epidural but injecting your blood in ( sounds gross I know) so could have done the same thing again, looking back now ican think oh it was ok but that's hindsight, for you must have been doubly scary as you had no idea she was breech or set yourself up for a c section, It wasn't your choice which sucks and to have complications ontop is really unlucky

tedmundo · 27/01/2014 20:16

Oh. My. God. kitty that is a story I am sooooo glad I did not know before my births! you poor poor thing. Never heard if that problem before or that blood patch thing. Every day is an education!

fatas and thingy .. Give those gorgeous bumps a rub from me (for luck!) and not long now, eh?

winkle .. I will be thinking of you in the morning. I hope you get some sleep tonight (Christmas Eve feeling anyone??)

red .. I am not surprised you are feeling down. That recovery sounds tough going. Could they not try iv anti bs before the keyhole? I hope the infection lessens to save you that.

kitty .. I feel your pain with the poorly baby. Bruce is still ill. He finished his anti bs on Thursday, had a great day Friday and then went downhill again over the weekend. Back to see Dr Dishy today and on another 5 days anti biotics.

I just want to go to bed and then sleep until the next day. That is the stuff dreams are made of.
