I've just had the best sleep I've had for 5 months - I feel like a new woman!

I was woken by baby kicks as well [heart melts]

Poor, poor Lumpy Sad

Ya-hay, MrsK! Smile

I'm trying to plough through 2 hrs and 40 mins of Mike Leigh's Another Year. What a tedious heap of drivel....

OwlinaTree · 23/11/2013 12:18

dizhin79 · 23/11/2013 12:57

Gold star to cookie for slapped wrist lessons learned Thanks

Coolhand · 23/11/2013 13:24

Just caught up on the week's events on here. Those photos are hilarious...

Maggie Howell CD here as well though think I just have the preparation for birth one. No need to wait until 32 weeks though imo - since I tend to work until I go to bed, last pregnancy I just used it to switch off my brain and fall asleep (not the intended use I know) and did that from about 18 weeks. This time round I'm so bloomin exhausted with the late nights working and crack of dawn starts with DS, that I just fall into bed thankfully and don't even have time for it! It definitely helped me slow down and relax though last time round

CookieThief · 23/11/2013 15:08

Does that mean you are the phantom reporter of my posts then, Dizhin? Excellent Hmm

mrsksays · 23/11/2013 16:05

I've had such a bounce in my step this morning since getting a good nights sleep - even found the gumption to go to town and get my bits waxed! That had rather fallen by the wayside and I can't bloody see it anymore.

But I decided out of sight, NOT out of mind. Must keep the standards up.

MummyPig24 · 23/11/2013 18:07

I'm going out tonight! Woohoo!

CookieThief · 23/11/2013 18:31

Slut.

PainAuxRaisins · 23/11/2013 20:44

Took kids to swimming pool this afternoon and returned home at about 4pm with the two of them hyper as anything (and me knackered)....so I stuck on the natal hypnotherapy CD (birth prep One) and lay on the sofa and the next minute the two of them had curled up next to me for a cuddle and I look across to see DH asleep on the sofa opposite! Result! Oldest DD got about 20 mins into it then whispered "Mummy this is getting a bit boring now" but they still continued to lie there til it was over. Might start putting CD on after school for some peace. I wonder where mummypig is off to tonight?? Cookie did you make it to the end of the Mike Leigh film??

CookieThief · 23/11/2013 20:57

Pain, honestly, that film was diabolical and quite, quite pointless. I hate pointless films. I don't need a lot of action in my films - just complex, interwoven characters brilliantly acted will do - but this was shit.

Nice result from the CDs!

Pantomime · 23/11/2013 23:06

These CDs sound rather good. I want some too! Any recomendations?

I also want a Tom Baker scarf. Finally sat down to watch the day of the doctor with the other half. Dinner in the oven too! DP is a chef so we tend to do things at odd times.

dizhin79 · 23/11/2013 23:11

cookie Shock noooo just an assumption as some had been deleted! I assume a deletion is a misdemeanour!

Been out for curry tonight..... l look 7months prego now! Am so glad bought maternity swimming cossie today!
and yes can't remember who said it but the body length does seem shortish, it was a slight struggle getting it over the 2nd shoulder, but I am hoping it will stretch a bit with use. Sports Direct £9.99 so not so painful a waste of money if I give up on it!

mrsksays · 23/11/2013 23:20

I really need to get those CDs out of the cellophane...

HotCrossPun · 24/11/2013 09:12

Note to self - do not mention to anybody that you 'haven't put on that much weight' and you have had an 'easy' pregnancy so far. In the space of a week I have turned into a huffing, puffing groaning pregnant woman. My bump has appeared from nowhere and I'm put on a ton of weight. Round ligament pain is back with a vengeance and I couldn't get comfy last night at all.

On the plus side - DP is being such a sweetheart. I think my belly popping out has made it all real for him. He gave me money and told me to go out and buy myself maternity clothes yesterday and keeps on (over)feeding me Grin

lumpy So glad you are taking time off. You should get yourself a good book and loads of nice food and have a relaxing week.

mrsksays · 24/11/2013 13:24

In the last 24 hours I've had someone tell me I'm "tiny" and you can barely see my bump and someone say "oh my god you're huge, much bigger than I expected"

Both pissed me right off. I'd say my bump and weight gain is spot on perfect for my build and number of weeks pregnant I am. Can people not just say I look "well" or something instead of how tiny/huge they think I am??

I never thought this would bother me, but it really does. It's like saying you're abnormal or something!

mrsksays · 24/11/2013 13:26

Oh and another thing - I know people "mean well" when they say it but I don't want to think about the fact that I'm now 24 weeks and the baby is "viable".

I just don't want to even entertain the idea that something catastrophic like a super premature labour might happen. Why do people think its ok to say this kind of thing?

Rockchick1984 · 24/11/2013 14:20

How much weight have you gained Mrskay? I think the 24 weeks thing is very personal - I was counting down to being 24 weeks and was made up to be at a point where if anything went wrong, there was a possibility of baby being ok, however I would never say it to another pregnant lady - what comforts one will scare another!!

lumpylumps · 24/11/2013 15:50

rock I see the 24 week mark as a milestone too. Probably more so than 12 weeks. Although I would obviously be devastated if I were to have the baby now, at least I know he stands a bloody good chance.

I'm fed up of people telling me what I should and shouldn't be eating and also doing. I've just had a friend tell me I shouldn't meet her for lunch cos I'm supposed to be resting do people honestly think I'm going to sit in on my own for the next 15 weeks??
