Okay I don't like to run out of things, even threads, so here's the new one.

Can't remember who described their baby kicking like an octopus but it's very true :)

Awww thingy he looks adorable Smile your scan pic makes me want one now! Some of the ones I've seen are such scary alien babies but yours is lovely! I'd definitely recommend getting to the nct sale early. When we arrived there was a queue already but luckily were members so got to start our own queue and got in first. Felt a bit cheeky but it was definitely worth it!

EeyoreIsh · 16/11/2013 17:03

thingy what a cute baby!

The sling meet was good, not quite what I expected but really useful. We're pretty sure we'll hire a stretchy wrap for the first 3 months now. DH was v cynical about a stretchy one before but he really liked it when it was on. They had weighted dolls, so it was quite realistic feeling.

I also treated myself to a new jumper/poncho.

Time for toast and then cake baking Smile

misskatamari · 16/11/2013 17:18

Oooh that sounds fab Eeyore - I like the look of the stretchy ones. What delights are you baking today?

EeyoreIsh · 16/11/2013 17:34

I was going to cook the apple loaf cake that champs posted the recipe for, and blueberry muffins. But we spent too long in town so I'm going for an apple and blackberry cake. If I can be arsed I might make a carrot cake too.

I seem to need cake must days! I almost made pancakes for breakfast this morning. I'd like to pretend that it's pregnancy cravings, but it's really just my pre pregnancy taste buds returning.

I have had lots of energy today, it's so random. I hope it continues this way until the end!

EeyoreIsh · 16/11/2013 17:35

Are you feeling any better today missk?

misskatamari · 16/11/2013 18:26

Ooooh sounds yummy!!! I need to make carrot cake soon but I just can't be arsed. Not feeling to bad today, think I've just got a bit if a cold and I'm tired so just having a rest. I am not moving from the sofa tomorrow! Smile

CubanoHabana · 16/11/2013 18:47

I've started a cold today as well :-(

It's not cake for me but kit kat chunkys... Although again, don't think its pregnancy related, just bought a pack of 8 and hubby had 2, so I also had to have 2 because he isn't allowed more than me!

notoneforselfies · 16/11/2013 18:50

Booo cubano, I feel for you. Have been feeling so miserable today. But DH just bought me a cheeky glass of red wine and told me it was medicinal so marginally cheered. If only I could have a malboro light to go with it and be able to enjoy the rest of the bottle! Sigh.

Sassy20 · 16/11/2013 22:05

Lastnight - sorry to hear you're having a tough time. I don't know if you should maybe wait till after the baby's born to read the note your sister left - it might just be too difficult right now with all the extra hormones. You just need to look after yourself and bump at the moment but in the end do what works for you. Thinking of you. X

Somanychanges · 16/11/2013 23:24

Just felt and saw baby Eli stick his whole bum out. It was amazing I love this part of pregnancy so much when you can start feeling and identifying parts of their little bodies that they stick out.

All day he has been sticking bits out and it has been really bonding just touching him through my skin and rubbing which ever but if him it is. Not sure whether he likes it or not, he keeps kicking me.

Littleen · 17/11/2013 00:04

Unplastered I like Seren, but not Lincoln :P Lincoln is like.. Abraham Lincoln! hehe.

Lastnight I hope the letter can help you find some closure so you're able to move on from it all. As for baby you lost - perhaps it wasn't quite ready and is instead coming now :) That's how I like to think about it anyway, might make you feel a little better. Good luck Thanks

My little one is kicking and faffing a lot now after those 3 very quiet days early in the week! He kept me up for an hour and half in the night, and then when he went back to sleep, my pelvis hurt too much to stay in bed! :P Hoping for a quieter night tonight, as he's been awake most of the day :)
Somany Sounds lovely! It's such a nice feeling!

EeyoreIsh · 17/11/2013 07:30

In the last few days my baby has gone from being an octopus to a little earth mover! When it wriggles my whole belly moves! It's going to be a strong little bean.

Another morning awake early... it was nice yesterday because I was all productive. Now I've done my chores I want a lie in! No chance of an afternoon snooze today either. ho hum. so much for my weekend of sleep I had planned.

SugarMiceInTheRain · 17/11/2013 08:17

Yesterday DH and I painted the baby's room. We're going for something like this in terms of colour scheme/ style so that it can grow with her and doesn't require updating so much. So we just painted it white. I already have the canopy pictured there and have my eye on a similar rug and curtains. Hoping I can rustle up some bunting with the sewing machine my mum said she's buying me for Christmas...

Had a really vivid dream last night about having my little girl and her latching on and having a feed whilst I was being stitched up in theatre. It was beautiful. Woke up slightly annoyed that I am in fact still really uncomfortable and unable to sleep properly with another 11 weeks to go! Grin At least my Christmas shopping is done so I just have to get down to making stuff for the hampers now. Happy days :)

CubanoHabana · 17/11/2013 09:04

Well I have been up all night :-( stupid cold! Stayed downstairs as I thought I would toss and turn and keep hubby awake. Did say I would go up when I felt sleepy but never felt sleepy as too snotty. I think i did nap at some point but not well... Just waiting for him to get up, although no doubt as soon as he does, I will fall asleep!

I'm sure it's good practice for baby turning up!

26 weeks today, 98 days to go and 40 working days left...

Thanks champ so far, 2 glasses of orange juice, 3 clementines, 500 ml of blackcurrant cordial (cold though cos it cooled too fast for me to drink) and a pork pie (random I know)... Also a cuddled in cat... Just fed up of peeing!

Artisticme · 17/11/2013 09:47

Can't believe how much Iv missed from only being away a few days!! 10 pages you chatty bunch!!
champagne I'm also 27+3:) but still got 30 working days left!! So jealous:(
I feel very unproductive in comparison to you all! I don't think I ever have time to bake a cake and my progress on the nursery is so little I actually think it looks worse than when I started!! However I did purchase my first christmas present this week so progress as been made in this area haha.
Fell down some stairs a couple of days ago and sprained both my ankles and pulled muscles down my side so feel a day of recovery is needed today! Though I feel the day would be better spent christmas shopping seen as I only have 10 days off until christmas!! Terrifying how quick it's coming round!!

misskatamari · 17/11/2013 09:50

Awww somany that sounds so cute! I haven't had any identifiable bits out yet - I think I may have a bit too much fat insulating baby to be able to tell but fingers crossed I will soon.

Awww Littleen - I'm glad baby is being more active (but sorry about the lack of sleep). Mine seems to like sleeping at night mostly (let's hope she stays that way!). Lol DH told me he thought my boobs were leaking again in the night - and then showed me these wet bits on the sheet at boob height! Shock Is it normal to be doing that? It's not much of course but still a bit weird. May be a good think I got all those breast pads yesterday lol!

Cubano - sorry you're feeling crap. Colds are crap at the best of times but whilst preg they truly suck. Mine is finally materialising today after I've been fighting it off all week. Think I'm gonna take a day off tomorrow and try and get well if I still feel crappy later - I know that if I keep pushing myself I'm gonna make myself worse. It's so hard deciding to prioritise your health over work commitments but just have to accept at the moment that me being healthy keeps baby healthy and that that is the most important thing.

I'm gonna try and spend an hour clearing some clutter from the lounge - there just seems to be crap everywhere and it's starting to piss me off. Then I'm not moving from the sofa all day!

Very jealous of all the cake baking! I need to convince DH to buy a second freezer for the basement ASAP so I can batch cook and bake some cakes to freeze as well so I can have instant (well with defrosting time) whenever I want! Smile

misskatamari · 17/11/2013 09:52

Artisticme - definitely a day of rest in order - I hope you're not too sore.

Chrimbo Pressie wise - if anyone is looking for cook books as gifts wh smith have some really good offers on - e.g two for £10. I got some Rachel Allen ones yesterday and they had Paul Hollywood, Lorraine Pascale, Hummingbird bakery etc. super good value x

notoneforselfies · 17/11/2013 09:58

Up all night with cold too. Well - up from 2am until 7.30am and then napped for an hour until I remembered I had to feed next doors cats their breakfast. My nasal cavities feel like they're filled with acid?! It buuuurns.

Artisticme · 17/11/2013 10:00

Oooh misskat that's a great idea!! Thanks for the tip!! And I hope you feel better soon. You aswell cubano. Really feel for you both as there's nothing worse than having the cold , especially when your pregnant. Have a spicy curry tonight and try and sweat it out:)
