toby have you had your electrics fixed? And I hear you on the uncomfortable thing, though no contractions, fortunately. My back hurts after five mins of any position (blaming the shit landlord saggy sofa), bump is sore underneath and I feel like my insides might fall out when I stand up.
Have you had a bath? Might help? Even if they are proper contractions, doesn't a bath slow such things down - win-win? Hope your DH is around to keep an eye on you.
nature yep, tough tittie for work. Paid time off for antenatal care is part of the deal, whether they like or no.
frizz do take it easy. I'm back to work tomorrow for my last four days before my cover person starts, and I've decided this is it. I am NOT going to be a patsy anymore and work late/agree to stuff/be forced to stress about my boss's incompetence. I don't like the job, nor do i plan to return, so why should I let it affect my pregnancy?
I saw my sister today, and she is just as stressed in her job, and cried on me out of nowhere in Sainsburys, poor lamb. It made me realise that it's just NOT OKAY to be put in that position. Esp when you're pg.
Had our NHS antenatal class on Sunday, which was really useful - in fact, DH and I are now talking over the possibility of home birth! I really liked the midwife, who was very up to date (delayed cord clamping, skin-to-skin etc) and very much 'it's your baby and your body, you ask for what you want', not at all what I was expecting.
Whoever said they haven't packed a bag yet - I don't even HAVE a bag (all our bags are at the new house, bar one suitcase for the last stuff this week, and some boxes), nor do I have:
a nightie, any maternity pads, any nappies, nursing bras, a birth plan... I have some Lanisoh, and LOADS of clothes with #ears on to pick from for our coming home outfit
