Shiny new thread. Welcome all those due to pop out a baby in March 14, whether you're an old hand or a newbie, come join the fun!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Prambo · 30/09/2013 12:57

Fox, I stopped cutting the strings after several episodes of losing the tampon when pissed/on drugs. I also tried tucking the string right up into my body but, again, I would forget about it.

Rock, the child is clearly missing me. Sorry you're having such a stressy day. Why can't kids be predictable all day every day? What's with the mood changes at two years old? It terrifies me!

Rockchick1984 · 30/09/2013 13:10

Pram I think he is missing you Grin I'm having a humongous cup of coffee (not even decaf!) to calm me down, he's now sat happily snuggled up on the chair with me and keeps stroking the bump and singing rockabye baby to it. Contrary sod, its a good thing I love him so much!!

Prambo · 30/09/2013 13:13

Yowzers! Kids are weird.

Prambo · 30/09/2013 13:13

Kara, how'd'you get on at the quack's?

Jolleigh · 30/09/2013 13:14

Stretchy-belly clothes purchased...I no longer have to go into work feeling like I'm being cut in 2 by a cheese wire Grin

FoxMulder · 30/09/2013 13:17

Aaah, cute. My DH has read in his pregnancy for dads book that he should pick a song to sing to the bump that it will then recognise after it is born (and should soothe it). He has chosen 'boom boom boom, let me hear you say wayoh' by the outhere brothers. I can seem him now, in Asda with a screaming baby singing that...I think I better think of an alternative!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 30/09/2013 13:22

Oh Fox I love that song. But have you heard the young to on YouTube singing it? Crying with laughter.

Rock sorry you're having a rubbish day. But how cut is he at the same time?!

JK did you phone again at 12? How was dd?

FoxMulder · 30/09/2013 13:28

No, I haven't Maybe but I will be sure to check it out.

maybe I rang again at 12 and was told she had a major melt down at lunch!! Her session finishes at 1.00 do she is home now, fast asleep in her cot!

pram thanks for the story! Made me smile.

rock kids are just plain crazy I think but you gotta love em.

Sorry to hear that babyshow wasn't so good.

Has anyone bought any nice tops/dresses that are comfy but disguise the bump?

Jolleigh · 30/09/2013 13:49

I just did JK from a shop called 'yours' in Manchester Arndale. I also bought some that are flattering and have a stretchy belly so will grow with me.

x0gawjus0x · 30/09/2013 14:08

Got such a wet minge!!! It really is wet all day i think i need to start wearing a pad its well anoying

Prambo · 30/09/2013 14:22

Oh I'm sorry your daughter got worse, JK Sad

Gawj, ditto on the sopping flaps. I'm fed-up of it, frankly. There's so much wetness that it goes through my knicks and onto my jeans which then dyes my knicks blue!

MummyPig24 · 30/09/2013 14:22

rock you're not alone. Sometimes the kids do things and I just don't know why the hell they are acting like that. They have paddies over the strangest things. Dd in particular loves to just be plain awkward.

jk it's hard when they cry but she will get used to it. Flowers

gaw, yep maybe it's time to invest in some panty liners! M

fox I can't think of a better song to choose!

pram I can't believe Janice had 3 cups of tea? She must spend all day on the toilet! Amazing that you got to hear the baby though.

I remembered to fill my piss pot. Wahey! I was bloody desperate though. And it's such a tiny thin pot, how do they expect us to pee into something so small with such accuracy when you can't actually see what you are doing?!

What actually happens at the 16 week appt apart from hb? I've totally forgotten.

x0gawjus0x · 30/09/2013 14:27

Lol pram!! Glad im not the only one, luckily im wearing black trousers so it wont show througj, i really dont wanna wear a pad i feel so blessed not having to worry about periods! X

Jolleigh · 30/09/2013 14:44

gawjus - it's an idea to get some pads anyway to insure yourself in the event of a sneeze-wee. I'm also having issues in that department. Feels like I keep a wet sponge in there for shits and giggles. It's apparently a good, normal state of affairs though.

FoxMulder · 30/09/2013 15:02

Get those ultra thin panty liners gawj. You can't feel them. Might need changing a couple of times a day though.

karamcleod · 30/09/2013 15:35

Doctor sent me to the hospital. I've spent the whole day in the ante-natal ward feeling like a bit of a fraud with my little bump (everyone looks like they're gonna pop any second in that place!). We got to hear bubbas heart beat and all seems well there, unfortunately they're having trouble finding out what's wrong with me. Still very bloody sore but relieved our baby is well.
Congrats on hearing your bubs' heart beat pram
I'm sorry for those of you having toddler problems, we all have that to look forward to so notebooks out ladies!

commsgirl · 30/09/2013 15:46

Sounds like a nightmare Kara. Glad you've had some reassurance that baby is okay though.

LyraSilvertongue · 30/09/2013 15:48

Gawj, panty liners are an essential if you don't like the feel of damp knickers (who does?). I've been wearing them almost every day since my first pregnancy 12 years ago.

MummyPig24 · 30/09/2013 16:03

Oh no Kara, hope they let you home soon, fit and well.

x0gawjus0x · 30/09/2013 16:05

I suppose, I will buy some of those teeny ones for lace underwear hopefully i wont feel it although id be slightly worried about it falling out and ending up on my shoe or something thankfully havent had any sneeze wees yet haha!!

FoxMulder · 30/09/2013 16:11

gawj I've worn them every day forever and I can reassure you that one has never fallen out.

Jesus, I'm knackered. Afternoons at work are SO hard. And all I'm doing is sitting here talking to you lot. God know how anyone with a real job does it.

BadlyWrittenPoem · 30/09/2013 16:17

Pram I'm not on FB currently but if I ever reactivate my account I shall certainly consider joining the Martians group.

kara hope everything is okay.
