X-post MrsO Grin @ your cinnamon!

Flyer747 · 25/09/2013 13:14

Haha MrsH Grin

MrsO cinnamon yuck, gross horrid stuff. Grin

Feminist I like lamb but won't eat it, my dad bought a farm when he retired (non working) someone kept lambs in his barns and I loved them...the thought of eating one made me too SadSad I'm such a wuss!

MrsHoratioNelson · 25/09/2013 13:15

I also hate cinnamon - what can I say, I am very particular Grin

Strange that for someone who loves Christmas as much as I do that I hate all things associated with Christmas food - cinnamon, ginger, dried fruit, savoury food with fruit sauces...

Flyer747 · 25/09/2013 13:18

For anyone who loves chutneys, jams, sauces this company do amazing ones. We serve their red onion marmalade with the cheese on board in 1st Class. I highly recommend.

Great for Xmas or Hampers.

Pretty sure Clapham - extensive googling has confirmed that.

Paracetamol is safe, right? I really need to drive to the supermarket today and can't see me getting off the sofa otherwise!

FeministInTraining · 25/09/2013 13:26

Flyer I'm not looking forward to explaining to my child that mummy's favourite meat comes from the cute fluffy animal you see in farms. I'm a hypocrite Sad

They just spoke about men being there during the birth on loose women and all said it was up to him. That's fine if he's really squeamish/not much support/could be utilised better elsewhere and you're both happy with that. But someone said it would be ok if he thought it might put him off of that area. Don't think I could keep the clip lock on my pregnancy rage if DP had that as a reason- surprise surprise, my hoo hoo is not there purely for your enjoyment!!

Blush rant over

PS. Hoo hoo makes me giggle Clapham

FeministInTraining · 25/09/2013 13:27

And the sauces look lovely Flyer, DP has a thing for sauces so he may find one in his stocking!

Flyer747 · 25/09/2013 13:33

My dad wasn't there to see either my sister or me born Shock my mum said it wasn't the done thing back then. He was outside the delivery room, I wouldn't be happy if dp said that!

My friend is currently 'dating' a man who left his wife and 2 children because "She put the children first and he felt left out, it wasn't the same after the kids arrived" had to hold back my view/opinion that he is a total arse wipe Grin

FeministInTraining · 25/09/2013 13:37

Oh dear Flyer can't believe he actually admitted that to your friend!

My dad was outside too, apparently he got sent out because he looked like he was going to faint Grin

funkky · 25/09/2013 13:40

Fx for you Anything!

Haylebop12 · 25/09/2013 13:40

I am here just lurking.

anything I had dd within 12 hours if a show at 37+5.

Isaac still in neonatal. Will give you all a proper update later.

roofio87 · 25/09/2013 13:40

my dad wasn't there either, same thing, it just wasn't the done thing. if dp didn't want to be there even if it made him squemish etc I'd tell him to man the fuck up, I'm the one pushing a whole other person out of my vagina!!!!!

AnythingNotEverything · 25/09/2013 13:42

Hayle - really hope you get him home soon.

PseudoBadger · 25/09/2013 13:43

Thinking of you and Isaac Hayle xxxx

BowlFullofJelly · 25/09/2013 13:45

Glad you got a lie in clapham - I dont hold any hope for any of that treatment.

Exciting news anything - though I'm not gonna lie, I am not impressed with all of this queue jumping!

gt, what stage are you at in induction? Pessary or gel? Are you on the drip?

Ds is playing up today, have no patience, trying not to be shouty mummy and failing

FeministInTraining · 25/09/2013 13:49

Flowers Hayle hope baby Isaac is back with you soon

Flyer747 · 25/09/2013 13:50

Here here Roofio, that's what I'd be saying.

I know feminist my friend has interesting choices in the total wasters men she dates.

Hayle hope baby Isaac is ok, keep us updated. X

MrsHoratioNelson · 25/09/2013 13:58

MIL suggested that DH might want to leave the room while I'm giving birth if he found it all a bit much, in case he got one of his migraines Hmm

Can you tell DH is her precious only?

GTbaby · 25/09/2013 14:02

Actually. Think I'm gtmummy! On WWF!

Satisfied my custard n cake craving. Grin They had custard for lunch here. Yum. N I have Jaffa cakes. So mixed the two together. Not a bad combination at all!

Flyer747 · 25/09/2013 14:06

MrsH your mil is a piece of work....Shock

Clapham seraphine items have arrived. Not too sure on the jumper, the bf shawl is lovely a nice winter poncho cover up....will look lovely teamed with my skinny jeans and boots who am I kidding I'll be wearing it with my pyjama bottoms Grin

BowlFullofJelly · 25/09/2013 14:06

Omg horatio. Does something happen to women when they become mil? I cant imagine ever behaving like that with my ds - he would be told in no uncertain terms to man up!

MrsHoratioNelson · 25/09/2013 14:10

I'm watching What To Expect When You're Expecting which is kind of naff but one of the characters is explaining how pregnancy sucks and the whole "glowing" thing is bullshit. I know how she feels Grin

Now she's got about a million women coming to her shop to say how they agree with her Grin Grin

MrsHoratioNelson · 25/09/2013 14:17

Ha! I am trying and failing to find the whole thing amusing and not to worry about how it's all going to get much worse when the baby arrives. At one stage they were looking at houses in the same town as us Shock. Fortunately FIL was sensible enough to ask the other day what we wanted to do re visiting, which is reassuring.

The funniest part is that she told DH a few months ago that she wasn't going to be one of those MILs who offered up unwanted judgemental advice all the time because her MIL was like that... Grin

Glad to hear I'm keeping you all entertained :)

cuillereasoupe · 25/09/2013 14:23

DP has warned me that he might take a funny turn if there's too much blood... I'd rather he just popped out for a quick breather if he feels the need than if he fainted, clunked his head on something and had to be whisked off to A and E five miles down the road for stitches!

MrsHoratioNelson · 25/09/2013 14:34

Oh quite right Cuille, I just don't want DH finding excuses to duck out because he's finding it a bit tiring. After all, it's not like I will get much of a break Grin
