flyer I sometimes look at the November thread when I'm feeling far behind everyone on here, but I never post, just lurk. Their thread doesn't move as quickly though, think they do a lot of chatting on Facebook instead.

I also want some apple pie now. Warm with vanilla ice cream! Have some plums to use up though, they're definitely getting made into something puddingy!

Slippysnow · 25/09/2013 12:16

pseudo thanks again for the tip about my pain. I went to see the gp, after a longggg wait, even though I was told pregnant women bump up the queue (pun intended) she gave me the all clear urine and blood pressure fine she did tell me I was right to see her, she also advised me to keep an eye out for itchy skin as it could be a sign of a liver condition.

GTbaby · 25/09/2013 12:20

Anyone play words with friends? My user name is gtbaby if anyone wants a game. I'm bored!
Warning I'm rubbish at it lol

Slippysnow · 25/09/2013 12:21

I really hate the new iPhone update ios7 it's making me post early on mumsnet and just generally looks crap!!

Forgot to say the gp said the pain was probably caused by baby outgrowing me and being over stretched, I wish I could be more accommodating!

GTbaby · 25/09/2013 12:22

MrsO I want apple pie and custard now! Confused
The night before my last induction I had jam rolly polly with custard. To die for! Was planning the same if inducted this time lol. Was not to be. A post natal treat me thinks Smile

MotherOfNations · 25/09/2013 12:24

Sc here Cherry. I was feeling so sore last night and having regular bh so was beginning to wonder. I hope that if labour does kick off before c-section date that it starts with something definite like my waters breaking so I'm not sitting around wondering if the contractions are labour or not.

MrsHoratioNelson · 25/09/2013 12:27

Crumble MrsO - dead easy and makes you feel all autumny :)

Flyer747 · 25/09/2013 12:28

Plum crumble yummy.

FeministInTraining · 25/09/2013 12:30

Ooh I have some bananas and some tinned pears... I want to make a little crumble I think! Am I right in thinking same ratio of plain flour/butter/sugar?? Or less sugar? Haven't made one for ages!

Pinkforboys · 25/09/2013 12:34

Hi ladies. Just back from seeing Obstetrician and am fluttering between elation that I no longer have to stab myself with Clexane every night (my thighs are soooo happy!) and absolute fear as I now have an Induction date in my diary (Sat 19 Oct) So this wriggler in my tummy is definitely going to be out by the end of that weekend!

Very nice Registrar btw. Male. What is it about a male Doc that makes a girl go all flustery even if sitting there resembling a beached blue whale?
(or is that just me...Blush)

Good luck to those getting on with it! I'm back there at the back of the bus chewing gum... (and dreaming of chocolate ice-cream rather than apple pie...)

PseudoBadger · 25/09/2013 12:36

Slippy I'm glad you got checked, and that they're happy with you :)

I've been for a preschool tour for DS this morning, then met a friend and her little boy for a chat. Walked up to the bank and am now eating potato skins with cheese and bacon and am going to have maple syrup pancakes for dessert. Yum.

Lots of what I now recognise as Braxton hicks the last couple of days, and some random pains too.

PseudoBadger · 25/09/2013 12:38

Oh I'm SC at 37+4.

MrsHoratioNelson · 25/09/2013 12:38

Gawd, now you're asking Fem. I think the one I did the other day had 120g flour, 90g butter and 90g sugar. I used half caster sugar and half muscovsdo sugar and it was yummy :)

AnythingNotEverything · 25/09/2013 12:41

Judging by our messages, some of us are certainly getting to the business end of pregnancy now.

I think I've had/am having my bloody show (sorry - TMI!). I started a thread in pregnancy, and 95% of the respondents seem to go on the have their babies within 24 hours. I'm only 37 weeks today and we've still got a plumber finishing our bathroom!

I've also pulled a muscle in my chest sneezing, so I can't physically do anything. I'm so not fit for labour at the moment. Can you keep your fingers crossed that we're not there yet!?

Pinkforboys · 25/09/2013 12:46

Fem- don't forget some oats- make for an extra yummy crunchy crumble...

PseudoBadger · 25/09/2013 12:48

Well I'll keep my fingers crossed Anything - maybe you should keep your legs crossed? :o
Definitely pack your bag, and take some paracetamol for your chest if you are ok with that.

Flyer747 · 25/09/2013 12:51

Fx Anything...keep us updated on developments, as Clapham said we are waiting for our first LIT update Grin

Feminist and to other crumble lovers, I add a little ground ginger into my crumble topping it tastes lush, that's assuming you like ginger.

sisteroutlaw · 25/09/2013 12:55

crumble topping - swap out some flour with ground walnuts or almonds - extra tasty and fatty

Going to search for GTbaby on Words with friends...

FeministInTraining · 25/09/2013 12:56

Thanks ladies! Will have a rummage through the cupboards. I definitely have oats, will search for anything else I can add Grin

FeministInTraining · 25/09/2013 12:58

Hope baby anything stays put until the plumbers gone!

claphammama · 25/09/2013 12:59

fingers crossed you have more time anything! are you sure it was your show? (I also had my DS within 30 hours of the show... sorry!)

MrsHoratioNelson · 25/09/2013 13:02

Flyer ginger?! Yuck!!!

You can guess how I responded to all those ""helpful" suggestions of ginger biscuits during morning sickness Grin

MrsO27 · 25/09/2013 13:04

I always do double the amount of flour compared to amount of sugar and butter, but there's lots of ways to do it. I like cinnamon added to mine. Plum crumble it is tonight! Yum yum.

FeministInTraining · 25/09/2013 13:07

What about boiling some ginger in hot water and adding a spoon of honey MrsH? Grin

I'm ok with ginger (would rather drink sugary ginger beer than boil it though!) but hate cinnamon with apple. And also mint with lamb. Restaurant menus disappoint me...
