Sephy those boots have relevance - they will have your striding proudly pushing your baby through all weathers in style.

waves to everyone else! It's my penultimate day at work and I have loose ends and handover notes to make. I'm more in a MNing sofa lounging frame of mind.

tucking my DP is trying to outdo me in the tiredness stakes... he stripped some lead paint yesterday but didn't close one door nor cover any of our stuff. BIG DEEP BREATH so I calmly mentioned it's really bad for DS(3y3m) and the boy in utero, and that now it has happened we needed to carefully clear all the dust. Cue stompy huffing and manic cleaning from him til 2am - resulting in restless sleep from me and then no sleep come three... Zero common sense. Wish I had blown up at him but then I'd be some hormonal baddie.

DP is a do-er, like, it's not work unless it hurts, but just wish he'd think things through. It's hard keeping a lid on my fury for a peaceful end of PG.

tuckingfits · 25/09/2013 10:52

I keep thinking that if I want to bump DP off already, now, before the baby is here & when he hasn't actually done anything wrong except breathing what the hell am I going to be like in a few weeks?! Poor man. But I will never admit this in real life clearly.

Have we heard from natalie today? Hope she's ok.

tuckingfits · 25/09/2013 10:59

Cross posted with you sister - am glad I'm not the only one who can't cope with the careless/thoughtless/downright stupidity of their partner's actions sometimes. Mine is a joiner. I am sure that when he finishes a job in a customer's house,he doesn't walk away & leave their house a shit tip. So why is it acceptable in our house not that he ever finishes a job here baby bedroom still less than 50% completed. He wouldn't get repeat custom or word of mouth recommendations if he was as crap in their houses as he is here.

Lead paint stripping with no consideration of what the fumes might do is a bit dim - presumably a discussion of the fact it was lead paint had taken place, with discussion of why it needed to go & why you wouldn't be doing it? It's mainly the lack of common sense that gets me!

MrsO27 · 25/09/2013 11:04

sephy Grin at beast feeding!
Sorry to all those having dp issues. Mine has been much better the last couple of weeks although is annoyed that I am ill and has said he hopes I don't give it to him as he has a stag weekend this weekend. Very tempted to cough all over his pillow, but it's only me who'll suffer if he gets manflu.

cazboldy · 25/09/2013 11:25

Best of luck GT xx

FeministInTraining · 25/09/2013 11:26

Morning all! I'm refusing to admit there's a possibility of going over I shall have my baby before you all mwahaha!!

Yeah right, SC @ 37+2 with no signs. Although I did have a clear out last night (and then sat in bed posting here) but that may have just been the cauliflower cheese Blush

Flowers to Tucking and Umlauf and everyone I forgot that's felt crappy, sorry things aren't straightforward and hopefully you can enjoy the last DAYS of being pregnant!

I actually did get round to tidying and cleaning floors yesterday, so my tasks today are to iron 2 shirts for DP, make some egg mayo for his sandwiches and get somewhere close to finishing the blanket I started knitting (for someone else originally) 3 years ago! But first I'm hungry and need to watch loose women.

Yay to everyone starting mat leave today/this week!

Natalieand · 25/09/2013 11:26

SC at 37+2

roofio and tucking thanks for asking bp is fine this morn 129/86 and tingling arms have dissapeared and I'm definately still cooking regrettably

bowlfull they made me chuckle when your dh asked 'will u be moody until u give birth' as this morning dh asked for a cuddle I said no I can't lay that way to which he replied 'can't u just have this baby now I've had enough of u being pregnant' (37+2)

Sorry to hear u were in hospital umlauf glad everything is ok though :-)

Sorry to those I've missed, hope your induction is progressing nicely GT xx

FeministInTraining · 25/09/2013 11:29

Hope everything's ok Nat and you got the odd BP reading checked out.

Oh and I stalkerishly found GT on the Nov 12 thread, she's updating there. Not much progress yet though, sending contracting vibes!!

FeministInTraining · 25/09/2013 11:30

X post glad you're feeling better Nat

cherrycherry41 · 25/09/2013 11:31

MoN I dreamt last night you and GT had babies, I log on here and GT is off having a baby, MoN are you?! Shock

cherrycherry41 · 25/09/2013 11:33

And yes Umlauf hoping bump will behave and stay put until my section on the 30th! Had a lot of BH so hopefully he'll stay in the weekend!

Flyer747 · 25/09/2013 11:35

Feminist I laughed GrinGrin at your stalker tendencies...brilliant.

Am I the only saddo when I confess that I have a quick browse through the other Ante-Natal threads and conception boards to nosy what other months are talking about?! Grin

Soupqueen · 25/09/2013 11:36

SC at 37+2.

Had my weekly monitoring appointment this morning, all good ("a very happy baby" apparently) and next week they're going to give me an induction date. Eek. I don't know if it's because I know I won't go over, but I'm quite happy being SC and in no hurry at all to move to the next stage - although I'd prefer the baby to decide its ready rather than be induced, I just don't think that will happen.

Blood pressure was slightly up to 120/80 but I'm blaming an email from my FIL, reminding me to make sure that DH lets him know as soon as things are happening. If he is worried that DH might be a little distracted and forget - what state does he really think I'll be in?

NHS ante natal class this afternoon so I'm going to treat myself to a nice lunch on my own, while I can!

GT, hope everything is going fine.

notsoold · 25/09/2013 11:38

Sorry about dp issues....it can be very difficult to be reasonable with their out of order actions.
Once I asked dh why he ( a normal intelligent sort of person) decided to be so unreasonable during my last pregnancy complaning about me putting weight on, my ms, not bonding with baby etc. He said to me that he couldn't help at the time. That sometime primeval and caveman took over him as much as the hormones took over me.
I made aposition point in this pg to say to him that he had to control his "hormones" if he wanted to have a nice 9 months this time and apart from complaining about my cold once ge is much better. I pointed out that ds is learning as a teen how to behave around pg women etc etc....
Gosh sometimes women needs to be the one with brains ....
I am more at peace about the possible need for cs and with the fact that Joe may not turn from breech

Dying for a apple pie!

claphammama · 25/09/2013 11:45

I also want to flick spitballs at late September / early October people Grin Still seating at the back of the bus with all the cool people Grin 36+1 today. MW appointment later today - lets see if she confirms that the baby is now engaged - it certainly feels like it and I'm not walking like a lady these days!

umlauf also missed your post yesterday... glad the baby umlauf is OK! Perhaps he just had a long siesta yesterday?

Sorry so many of you are having problems with DPs. As you may remember I've moaned about mine a fair bit (all deserved of course Smile but last night he told his mother that she was going to do the school run this morning and apparently woke her up ruthlessly this morning leaving me to sleep Flowers for my DP today. Credit when credit is due

bowlfull as you know my MIL arrived yesterday "for the weekend" so I know your pain. I've also been a right moody bitch for two days so it's not just you having this reaction to visitors. I'm feeling better today though after a bit of sleep. Hope they look after you and don't drive you mad!!

nat glad your BP is better, falcon hope Willow gets over her jaundice soon and excited to hear gt news soon!

Sorry if I'm forgetting someone! Have a lovely day xx

roofio87 · 25/09/2013 11:47

my bh have really ramped up today, lots and lots and also had a bit of a runny tummy. trying not to get my hopes up though as im only 38+5 and I know chances of going early with a first baby are slim!!
dp has been off work all week, which is fine expect he hates having nothing to do so has been a bit of a pain. I feel a bit of egg shells with him. it also means I can't sit and watch crap tv all day cos he can't stand it. ive been letting him play lots of gta to keep him entertained, great fun for me!!

Soupqueen · 25/09/2013 11:47

notsoold, that's spooky, I was just pondering making an apple pie. I think I'm going to do more of a giant turnover though. With custard.

Flyer747 · 25/09/2013 11:49

Roofio you are so gonna go next Grin baby roofs will be born come the weekend I reckon. X

claphammama · 25/09/2013 11:49

ps. and happy due date funkky!

So we've had someone use SWIL, IP, now gradually moving to SFW... will someone give us LIT? anyone? Grin

claphammama · 25/09/2013 11:50

roofio we are relying on you for the first LIT update then! show us what you are made of!

GTbaby · 25/09/2013 11:58

Falcon never has lol been more apt. Love that i have a stalker.
My nov 12 post natal MN friends wanted a live birth thread. Lol. So keeping them up to date.
Nothing interesting ATM. Mild contractions and moaning about my FH (fucking husband) as I refer to him on that thread.

Tip for snacks. Your fav cereal incase you stay over night. Really wanted my crunchy nut this morning.

FeministInTraining · 25/09/2013 12:03

Sorry GT I blame pregnancy hormones Blush
Thanks for cereal tip and fx things get moving for you x

So Flyer you're defo not the only one that nosys round the other threads Grin I usually look at "most active" if I'm up in the night. I'm way too scared to post anywhere else though!!

Flyer747 · 25/09/2013 12:04

I hope things speed up for you GT it can't be much fun just sat I'm hospital waiting. Good luck and I hope come this evening baby gt will make his grand entrance x

sisteroutlaw · 25/09/2013 12:05

I love the idea of having the presence of mind at the time to use LIT!

Yeah tucking DP said he wanted to do it [lead paint removal] when we were out of the house but don't think he realises how dangerous lead is a neurotoxin with no minimum safe level especially bad for developing brains. Just baffles me why you wouldn't prep the area for 45 mins to save a 6 hour clean-up... The bedroom doors weren't even closed.

I don't have precious vessel status this time but wish he were more interested when the baby kicks. I think he might feel it a betrayal of DS1. I doubt he'll be able to do anything right for the next few months...

[clip-locks lid on rage]
Grin

funkky · 25/09/2013 12:07

Thanks Clapham, pink, favelli. Have had to book next MW appointment for next week, though made it clear i hope I won't be seeing her at 41 weeks!!!!

Dodges spitballs from back seaters on the bus. feeling moody, lying in bed, everyone keeps calling for news. Even DH who has been very calm was driving furiously over speedbumps today with me n the car, apparently, speedbumps can help bring on labour. Lol!
