Hello ladies.. the previous thread is almost full so I thought it's time to move on to a new one to mark the start of trimester 2. Here's to fewer bouts of sickness and more "glowing" all around!

Did you get a gender scan, beetle? I missed that, didn't realise you were having boys :') Congrats!

Trinpy · 28/10/2013 21:23

exciting to hear you're having a girl, Bart. I'm so jealous you know already Envy .

I'm desperate to start buying tiny vests and sleepsuits but trying to resist going mad and buying everything until nearer my dd in case I end up with loads of hand me downs in the same size!

ChaffinchOfDoom · 28/10/2013 22:24

yeah, the little short sleeve vest thingies, with poppers for nappy changes, and over top a cute patterned sleep suit and matching hat oooh! aquee!

leehandy re: dark names - the Halloween name changes! was a competition thread. Mine aren't half as good as some.
I like chaffinches as they're such mad colours, orange and blue. Lost the choc bit as a lot of posters called choc _ and confusing when shortened in replies

Is anybody else having weird dreams? Usually I don't remember dreams at all, but recently I'm remembering at least one a week. Often about being stuck somewhere precarious, too scared to go forwards or back the way I came... Not sure this bodes well!

BartBaby · 29/10/2013 08:38

light yes awful vivid dreams. Last night involving being chased round somewhere by nasty people and dead people, and stabbing said dead people through the chest and head and it having no affect what so ever. My friend in the dream (not someone I know) then getting stabbed in the back of the head whilst trying to run away. It was very vivid and rather scary! One I wish I didn't remember.

LightTripper · 29/10/2013 08:40

Yikes! I would say glad I'm not the only one, but that sounds horrible :-(

prettyinpink90 · 29/10/2013 10:45

Morning ladies! Hope that you are all well!

light I've been having really vivid dreams too recently. Though they are more random than scary. Weird isn't it.

How exciting that you're having boys beetle congrats Smile
Does everyone else want to know the gender? We have decided we would like to if possible at the next scan.

Does anyone else feel like these weeks between the 12 and 20 week scans are dragging? I have my 16 week midwife check up next week, will she listen for the baby's heartbeat?

15+4

Trinpy · 29/10/2013 16:13

That sounds really scary Bart. I keep dreaming that I'm still dating one of my exs (any of them - seems I'm landed with a different one each night). I spend the whole dream feeling miserable that I've got such a rubbish boyfriend and then I suddenly remember that I'm married to dh and that it's his baby I'm having, it's always such a relief! I had similar dreams before I got married so I'm getting used to them now!

evening.
i'm having a rough time of it. am so sick of feeling sick.
feel like i've been on this sofa for the past 6 weeks.
there's a thread in otbt.

i so want to start enjoying being pregnant but am definitely not yet.

LightTripper · 29/10/2013 18:41

Me too never
I know it's not much consolation, but sending you hugs and wishes that we can get through this long slog into the "blooming" bit soon xx

LightTripper · 29/10/2013 19:01

Sorry never, just read your other thread and realised "me too" was totally inappropriate response. I really don't have much to complain about beyond feeling crap. Sounds like you are having a world of crap falling on you, I'm so sorry.

The hugs and healthy wishes still stand though, obviously!!

nevergoogle · 29/10/2013 19:07

oh don't feel like that. there are worse off than me out there. but god it's so hard being pregnant while feeling crappy.

LightTripper · 29/10/2013 19:09

Thanks Thanks

Vikkijayne2507 · 29/10/2013 19:49

16 week midwife appointment they listened to the heart beat. ive been struggling with random pains last two days it really hurts. midwife says its uterus making room and ive probably overstretched some of the muscles told to take it easy

Vikkijayne2507 · 29/10/2013 19:49

am 17 weeks tomorrow

bundaberg · 29/10/2013 20:00

i keep forgetting how many weeks I am and having to go and work it out online Blush

poor 4th baby lol.

when did you all start wearing maternity wear? I am sure I was in it by this time before, so now I am worrying that my bump isn't growing and that means that a bad thing has happened :(

think i'm 14 and a bit weeks

LightTripper · 29/10/2013 20:10

I'm nearly 15 and still in normal clothes, if that helps!

learnasyougo · 29/10/2013 20:36

I do have one pair of maternity jeans, but I am also still wearing non-maternity trousers, though my bump is now noticeable (just this week, really) and I'm 17+5. Don't worry, remember some people don't even get a bump at all... those 'I didn't know I was pregnant' people.

bundaberg · 29/10/2013 21:03

phew! not just me then

my other babies were big, and i always got a bump quite early, so this is feeling quite different.
trying hard not to worry!

next scan is 5th december

LightTripper · 29/10/2013 21:16

Just read this, on not loving pregnancy, and it made me feel a bit better so thought I would share.

Night night ladies! Onwards!

LeeHandy · 29/10/2013 22:51

chaffinch, fwiw, I think the names are cool...Smile
I am still in regular clothes though I am growing a little every day now. I bought a pair of maternity jeans but they are falling off me for now.
I need to get a baby on board badge though because standing for longer than 10 minutes in the train is becoming hard. hopefully it will work!

Not in maternity stuff yet but bump is quite obvious! Think waiting til I go back to work to tell them might have to be rethought! Think I will have to just tell them once I've received my new contract, eek!

Still feeling nauseas and tired all day!
