Hello. 2 busy days although havnt actually done anythingHmm and no chance to catch up yet.

Thought I'd let you know I'm SC.
did the crack check today. Deff changed colour. Although looks like a bruised purple blackly colour. Not sure if that's right? Off to google more about it.

Got my copy of art of bf today. So got to try and get that finished ASAP Confused I've not read a book in over a year. Must read more.

rubytwosday · 18/09/2013 23:30

Wow, that was a lot of thread to catch up on! Rox, so sorry about Poppy. tarlia good luck with induction, roofio, I hope you are not worrying about baby, legally it's lovely to hear about the twins. I am now being induced on Saturday at 37+5 because OC has got quite a lot worse. Liver function test had doubled since a week ago (apparently that's bad) so doctor said it was best to induce before 38 weeks. It turns out my DSiL had planned a surprise baby shower for me on Sat afternoon that's now had to be cancelled. I feel really bad about that as DH says she had put a lot of effort into it. Meant to be at work til the end of the week but think I'll ask the head if I can finish tomorrow. Tarlia I really hope your induction works quickly. The leaflet I got today said expect it to take about 48 hours! Bit worried about that!

MotherOfNations · 18/09/2013 23:44

So glad you're Coping well after your c-section Legally I would have felt awful if you'd been one of the unlucky ones who really suffers. I hope I'm not pushing my luck having a 5th and suffer this time.
Dp has said that how painful an injection is depends on how fast it is given. A good nurse should inject slowly. I hope he's right.

Three blondies I sympathise with you re IBS. It's hellish. I was vegetarian for years but had to start eating meat again in my late teens because vegetarian sources of protein like beans and lentils set me off. The bonus was I lost 10 stone. Very strange. I got into the habit of having a McDonald's frappe in the morning lately until it dawned on me that milk appears to be a trigger food for me too.

textbook · 18/09/2013 23:51

Good luck Tarlia Grin hope it works quickly for you.

MotherOfNations · 19/09/2013 00:14

Hope it all goes well Tarlia and doesn't take too long.

notsoold · 19/09/2013 00:15

Good luck tarlia...fx for you.xxxx
MoN please can you tell me how long after a cs can one start to ttc again???I am not sure if I will have the cs however we are planning another one after baby Joe ( kind of soonish because we are ancients - according to dcs!)

cherrycherry41 · 19/09/2013 00:42

notsoold I had a cs 11 months ago and consultant said its fine, I've had no problems and theres no increased risk of scar rupture etc.
Only thing i'll say is one pregnancy after another takes its toll on you, i have hated this pg and felt dreadful as i've got bigger and unable to look after DD properly. Even though it'll be worth it in the end, it is hard work!!

PseudoBadger · 19/09/2013 01:38

Good luck my dear Tarlia xxx

Awake with heartburn (we had curry for dinner - why?!) and also a bit worried about baby's movements. I'm not sure how much I feel overnight but I'm not getting much. I know that both steroids and labetalol can potentially slow movement so I'm trying to think of ways to provoke some movement that won't make heartburn worse! Also watching Oz masterchef which has made me happy :)

legallyblond · 19/09/2013 02:34

Good luck for tomorrow Tarlia x x x will be thinking of you. With DD, my induction took just over 24 hours to "start" then a nice quick labour. Hope you feel you've got everything in place at home x

legallyblond · 19/09/2013 02:36

Pseudo - I was told to expect much slower movements post steroids but still to expect some movement.

MrsHoratioNelson · 19/09/2013 02:38

Good luck Tarlia

Pseudo up with, well, I don't know what really. Despite assurances from DH, he came to bed really late again and i havent been able to sleep since. Spare bed gets made up (by him Hmm) tomorrow...

Don't forget that the babies are starting to settle into a pattern now, so it may be that baby Badger has just settled into his or her pattern. In any event you're on the right track now in case of any concerns.

PseudoBadger · 19/09/2013 02:39

Thanks legally, I'm a bit annoyed as no one told me of any side effects of the steroids, I've only picked up what I've read on here. I've had a couple of movements in the last hour so I'll see how things go by the morning, back at the consultant for dose 2 this afternoon....
Hope you're all doing well in the legally household x

PseudoBadger · 19/09/2013 02:41

Thanks MrsH - I think what I expect from baby now is to react when I provoke her! In general now if I poke her or lie in a certain way she reacts, so I'll keep trying :)

OP posts:
PseudoBadger · 19/09/2013 02:45

Hope all is ok with you MrsH, is he working late or just watching TV etc?

OP posts:
Flyer747 · 19/09/2013 02:49

Good evening insomniacs and heartburn inflicted ones. I'm up with inability to breathe well. It's most uncomfortable. Off to the spare room for me.

PseudoBadger · 19/09/2013 02:51

Oh yes flyer I saw you posted about this earlier. Are you going to go to triage? Or call them?

OP posts:
Flyer747 · 19/09/2013 03:00

If it's no better tomorrow I will go down. I called them and was told to come in "Just to be on the safe side" but that there was a long wait. So decided to see how it goes. It feels like discomfort in my oesophagus, kind of like something is pressing on it.

PseudoBadger · 19/09/2013 03:06

Weird! Is it doing that awful thing where you drop off and then wake up struggling? Or is it just too uncomfortable to even get to sleep?

OP posts:
MrsHoratioNelson · 19/09/2013 03:25

Flyer I have that too a bit - it's weird because the bump has dropped but now I feel like I've got something sitting on my chest and I feel more breathless, not less.

Pseudo yes, he's working late, so I feel bad, but he's just not very good about either time management or prioritising anything that isn't his set of priorities. He came in and he interrogated me we had a chat about the nurseries and some dinner so he had some downtime after work. He said he had an hour so's work to do, but didn't start until about 9:30, by which time I was nearly ready for bed. Then I don't sleep we'll until he comes to bed, he takes longer than he estimates anyway (another thing he's not very good at) and wakes me up when he does come to bed. I've explained why that's a problem for me and he's done it loads before, pregancy aside, but he just doesn't seem to care. He's the same before we go on holiday.

I know he's working, but its the complete lack of regard for me that pisses me off - and if he was better with his time it's wouldn't be such a problem.

Flyer747 · 19/09/2013 03:26

I slept from 1130-230 dp is a night owl, but gets into bed with me I drop off and he works on his laptop next to me. I woke up when he turned his bedside lamp off and it's when I'm awake....goodness knows what weird pregnancy symptom it is. Had some crazy dreams earlier about my baby I had no milk, wasn't too worried as the baby was eating dog food Grin

Flyer747 · 19/09/2013 03:30

MrsH I gave up trying to get dp to come to bed early. So we compromised and we both get into bed together, usually at 10pm I shove an eye mask on at about 1130 and drop off and he carries on working sometimes until about 3-4am! It's been this way with us for years now.

PseudoBadger · 19/09/2013 03:31

MrsH - it'll be interesting to see how he thinks that'll work with a baby in the house!

Flyer - I slept from about 10.30 to 1.30 and seem to be in no danger of dropping off again :( I wonder if your symptoms are linked to heartburn?

OP posts:
MrsHoratioNelson · 19/09/2013 03:32

Flyer I had a few dreams where I had had the baby, realised I had forgotten to feed it for 24 hours and, when I came to BF, the baby had teeth and was talking Confused

Pregnancy dreams are weird! The one the other night was that they has somehow extracted the baby but it wasn't born yet, leaving me to go to a meeting for work and when I came home, the baby had been born. I didn't seem too fussed about having missed the birth Grin

Flyer747 · 19/09/2013 03:33

Maybe pseudo I've never had heartburn before so don't actually know what it feels like. I've run out of antacids so will collect my prescription tomorrow and see if they ease it. I did wonder that though myself.
