pink fingers crossed your bloods come back good enough to go to the MLU..x

diege how did today's scan go?

I swear this cough is going to send me mentally insane, I have my whooping cough vaccine tommorow now I'm panicking a bit about it as I read one of u had reduced movements after it on the thread earlier today (sorry can't remember who)

Smitten1981 · 12/09/2013 20:49

Natalie, I spoke to my midwife about the WC vaccine today and she said she'd not had one instance from her ladies who have had it having problems afterwards.

I'm still undecided, but she said she hadn't heard of any issues with it.

Tarlia · 12/09/2013 21:02

badger please go and get checked. This sound to be progressing so def worth getting bloods taken for comparison.

p-buttons so sorry to hear your plans are up in the air tonight. Fx for tomorrow. That's an great weight for 36+5, DS will be lucky to be that big when I have him due to my PE.

shooting I'm surprised they didn't make DH hold DS as I've seen on flights babies and toddlers being moved/held and extra seats being given in flight to pregnant mums and babies on EJ.

nat choak it up chook :P Hope that cough buzzes off soon.

JellyCurls · 12/09/2013 21:04

Congrats on safe arrival of your twins legally hope you manage to get home soon.

Movements here have been few and far between, every time I think about calling hospital baby gives a jiggle. Still very quiet tonight so if it doesn't pick up by tomorrow I will def be calling in to midwives.

Can't remember what else I have read so hope everyone is doing OK. Fingers crossed we don't have a Friday 13th baby x

Tarlia · 12/09/2013 21:06

I'm sorry, head up my butt. I also wanted to welcome you home shooting, DP distracted me. Did you have a lovely time?

Pinkforboys · 12/09/2013 21:13

Evening Ladies,
Nat/Smitten I had the WC jab last week and everything's been fine with me and bump. In fact I was quite relieved I'd had it today when I got coughed all over by one of DS's friends. MW/nurse/gp were all pro it with no hesitation.

35w tomorrow and already feeling the lack of room inside. I'd forgotten how cramped it feels in the last 6w. Seems like no room for breath nor food. I've felt alternately hungry & sick all day- I've joined the late onset ms club. I can't even face chocolate- must be bad!

Oh and the sense of smell! We have a mate of DH staying with us and my pg nasal superpowers mean I can smell his body odour throughout the house. Anyone else suffering the same??

clapham I'll be in the same boat as you tonight- in need of earplugs to drown out the drunken DH snores. And no escape from the alcohol-sweat as the spare-room is taken Confused

Good luck with lowering BPs etc tomorrow Thanks

Shootingstarsandcomets · 12/09/2013 21:26

Thanks tarlia, we had a lovely time. Weather was gorgeous and I've eaten far too many croissant and pastries! Will definitely go there again, great baby friendly place. Dreading the washing mountain though, not sure how we managed to wear so many clothes in a week.

SeriousStuff · 12/09/2013 21:51

Pink I'm having the same issue with food - I'm still always hungry but if I eat as much as I feel I need, I'm then really uncomfortable for the rest of the night!

GTbaby · 12/09/2013 21:56

What a day. Lo has been very needy so n so today. Had to rock him to sleep earlier. Which is very hard with my bump!
He was up last night at 4am. Usually dh desks with it. But he has an interview today so i didnt wale him. And dh is at work this evening so been alone. Sis came over for a bit to help. So that was nice.

We had a scan yesterday. All looked good. My OC blood levels are still low. Itching comes n goes.

But for now I'm going to veg in front of the tv.

Pinkforboys · 12/09/2013 21:58

Nat did you ever get your wedding ring back on? I took mine off yesterday to make some crumble and still can't get it back on again!!

Must go to bed. I'm exhausted. Got halfway thru party bags and pinata for DS's b'day party on the w'end. Last big task to get thru and then i can officially put my feet up. Oh- and that small matter of a handover mtg at work. Roll on Monday!

Wishing you all a good, uninterrupted night's sleep x

Natalieand · 12/09/2013 22:00

pink I just had that one occasion in the evening where my rings got stuck some cold water got them off and after that they have been fine and I'm still wearing them now, I swelled quite alot with dd but haven't had any swelling at all this time except for that odd day a few weeks ago xx

FeministInTraining · 12/09/2013 22:29

Thanks Clapham as DP says, once the baby is here all the annoying things that seem so big at the time will be forgotten Smile

Having the baby at Lewisham Hospital's birth centre/MLU. They haven't downgraded the maternity unit yet so if there are any complications the labour ward is upstairs. Nice to hear a positive story about a back to back labour- although hoping baby will be nice and do a twirl for me! I think they can spin round at any point- including during delivery. Lots of time on all fours should do the trick I hope! Have a nice last day, I hope everyone is really nice to you. Don't forget to skip out of the office... Although there have been a few slips on the thread so maybe not such a good idea!

Nat I got the Britax Affinity (with free carrycot!) I think Roxvox might have got it too. Still haven't seen anyone pushing it yet though. Hope your cough gets better soon, WC jab didn't change movements for me btw.

Hope baby gets a bit livelier for you Jelly but defo call up to check if you're still worried in the morning.

Hope you get to go to MLU pink I have my heart set on the same thing.

notsoold · 12/09/2013 22:48

Congrats legally!!! Wonderful names!!!

As said before with all the babies coming , us inthe end of the month have a long way to go!!!
SC 34

This is dc3 and although is a long gap ( 19 and 14years) we will be buying gifts from the LO. My dd ( 19 in 3 weeks) was easy... We bought her a silver ring, but stuck about what to buy ds (14) that he would keep and value....any suggestions???

Had a scan today and baby is still breech. Back in 2 weeks and then they said to me they will betalking about ecv or c section....!!!!

OrangeBlossom2 · 12/09/2013 23:11

Congrats legally Thanks Thanks ( one for each) So pleased that they arrived safely. Hardly seems that long since you posted finding out it was twins.

Lots of positive news today with degrees, turning babies, no OC, Eliana hospital/skin to skin etc. notsoold hope yours turns too and diege had positive placenta news.
Hope I haven't put you off teaching slippysnow!

I felt rubbish today, really tired, sore and fed up with being pregnant for the first time. lots of people at work commented that I was moving slower, looked much bigger, got asked several times how long left. I must have looked awful!

Went to a red cross baby and child first aid course tonight, really useful - i would recommend - and met two other local mums due in November, which is a bonus! So tired now though and have another one after work tomorrow.

PseudoBadger · 12/09/2013 23:39

Waiting for Triage to call me back. I really don't want to have to go out tonight, it's raining :(

OP posts:
BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 12/09/2013 23:51

Hope you're not waiting too long Pseudo. I've been waiting for DP to get home from work and he's just stepped through the door soaking wet.

Utterly horrid heartburn racing up my throat so can't face going to bed just yet anyway...ho hum...

PseudoBadger · 13/09/2013 00:10

I've got to go in :( Waiting for a cab now

OP posts:
SeriousStuff · 13/09/2013 00:15

Oh Pseudo, I hope it goes ok. Do you think you'll have to stay there til morning?

PseudoBadger · 13/09/2013 00:21

Not sure, hopefully I'll get there and bp etcwill be fine, they'll do bloods and I can leave.... In the cab now, driver is a bit accelerator happy....

notsoold · 13/09/2013 00:33

Urg, first wee break and I'm wide awake, but wish I wasn't as head thumping! (GMT+1)

badger I'm so pleased to hear that you went, I know it's annoying, believe me, but it's most certianly better safe than sorry. Also when you still have the medication option to use it's def worth keeping 1 step ahead so it doesn't spiral out of control. Mine last time was past the daily med stage, when it kicked in as it takes 2 weeks for that med to work.

shooting sounds fab and gorgeous photo of you and DS. I wish mine would sit at waters edge like that and play - he just wants to dive in.

orange how long until ML?

Oh my clapham JUST today, then you can say cheerio to that place!!

bridget me too. It makes me choak for breath and nothing seems to cure it at the moment :( Not long to go!

Tarlia · 13/09/2013 01:43

Oh and I also meant to ask- did you all see the MN news email for chocolate testers? YUM! Sounds like most of us are out but the DPs could def get picked and those in NIRE. Do we have two or are you southern?

PseudoBadger · 13/09/2013 02:44

They've released me! BP still highish but not as bad, took more PET bloods and monitored a very happy baby :) I've to keep my monitoring appointment for 10 am tomorrow and will get the blood results then. In another cab home now....

Thank you Tarlia I know you understand. And thank you notsoold and serious for thinking of me.
