GrinGrin At you thinking you're psychic Alex!!

Quodlibet · 26/09/2013 18:42

Janey I can see 6 photos of a (very nice) nursing chair, but none of you!
Alex I had imagined you as a brunette too.

Merkin, which way do you think you are swinging? We didn't find out the sex, but if the wives tales are to be believed it's a boy - fuzzy tummy, low bump, craving salty not sweet - and I had remarkably little morning sickness compared with my sister, mum and maternal cousin who all had girls.

I went to my first antenatal yoga last night which was great (Alex I know it's not local to you but if you work in Central London can get to St Thomas's after work I would recommend the class). Lots of relaxing and good to be taught some yoga I can do with a bump. My DP commented this morning that it's the first time my shoulders have been knot free for ages.

I am meant to be finishing off my hopefully-final draft of my PhD over here, but as you can imagine, lots of distraction going on instead. I am totally on top of my personal admin, have switched gas supplier, applied for Mat Allowance, filed my bank statements, pruned the garden, researched prams extensively....! Now I just need to knock the bastard thing on the head; I will be so bloody glad when it is done!! It's not even a hard job right now, just reading through and editing.

Purplemonster · 26/09/2013 18:56

I think so far we've had an even balance of girls and boys (which I suppose you'd expect!) Vic, Miles and Horario (has anyone heard from Brave recently?) and Elodie, Lara and Lucy. Did I forget anyone? Has everyone else decided on names yet?

Purplemonster · 26/09/2013 18:56

Horatio even, stupid bloody autocorrect

Cavort · 26/09/2013 19:03

I 'saw' Brave on a thread she'd started asking if others have unsupportive OH's when it comes to BFing. I hope she's ok.

Alex I also had you down as a brunette for some reason. Blush You and your DH look lovely together.

Cavort · 26/09/2013 19:04

Purple not as good as your hilarious cock/coke autocorrect. Grin

OP posts:
Purplemonster · 26/09/2013 19:12

Damn, I thought everyone would have forgotten about that by now Blush

Cavort · 26/09/2013 19:17
Grin

Purplemonster · 26/09/2013 19:22

Nope, never ever going to live it down am I!

HazleNutt · 26/09/2013 19:46

janey yes, that's the glass bridge over the canyon. I was bloody terrified, hence the odd grin.

janey1234 · 26/09/2013 19:52

I saw that too cavort and spoke to Alex about it. Really hope she's ok. Don't like it when we lose folk from threads... Hmm

Talking of which, I keep thinking about Gail. Really hope she's ok.

Hazle I can't see your face on my bloody iPhone but absolutely hats off to you for doing it. I flat refused.

Quod - Blush Every time I add a picture on my iPhone it seems to write over the others. Heaven only knows what I'm doing. I added about four of my nursery, I think at Hazle's request, but somehow lost them all apart from the crappy pic of the corner of the nursery...

Will try now to add one of me and the 12 year old Wink

janey1234 · 26/09/2013 19:52

And purple - no, you're not!!xx

janey1234 · 26/09/2013 19:58

Added. So now there are loads of photos of us. Obviously chose one from last summer before I ballooned put on a bit of weight whilst pregnant...

HazleNutt · 26/09/2013 20:02

janey based on this one photo you posted, we actually look quite similar.

Cavort · 26/09/2013 20:05

I saw Gail as well. I think she's knocking around on an IVF thread and everything is going well. Understandable that she'd want to lay low. Smile

Janey another great photo. My, my, we are a photogenic bunch. Smile And if you are only a stone heavier than that photo at nearly 6 foot then you're not fat at all!

OP posts:
janey1234 · 26/09/2013 20:20

Do we? Smile in my dreams we are very different. Basically you're all teeny tiny skinny apart from me, in my trousers that don't do up Blush

I'm actually about a stone and a half heavier than then, hence I feel enormous, as I managed to put on weight last year before getting pg. Was drinking and eating out a lot, and generally having far too much fun. Funny how times change Wink

So glad about Gail. I've been worrying about her...

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/09/2013 20:43

Gail is fine... She's around under another name and texts me occasionally

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/09/2013 20:46

See if you can spot the old (as in ex not as in old bird Wink) on this thread

Cavort · 26/09/2013 21:02

How have everyone's fussy babies been today?

Elodie has been just as grumpy and clingy today, but her cold is worse today. She's been dozing on and off since 6.45 but has only just gone down for the night. I have a feeling it will be several wake ups again tonight. Sad

OP posts:
Purplemonster · 26/09/2013 21:19

Glad you're having a better day cavort. Mine has been a lot better today although was spectacularly sick a couple of times. I sometimes worry that wherever I go I smell ever so slightly of baby sick Blush hopefully it's just paranoia. I nearly bought an angora jumper today them looked at the baby and thought maybe not!

Purplemonster · 26/09/2013 21:20

Doh, you're not having a better day, why can't I bloody read? I blame the sleep deprivation...sorry.

Purplemonster · 26/09/2013 21:22

I must have just seen that Elodie was asleep and Lucy's still wide awake and whiny and got confused!

MotherOfCleo · 26/09/2013 21:41

haha merk yep I think I spotted her straight off. Grin Bless her, so so glad she is ok!!

janey1234 · 26/09/2013 21:47

Miles has been better this afternoon than yesterday. I think swimming wipes him out so much that he then had a decent lunchtime nap, which made him pretty chirpy all afternoon.

The two things I'd say that seemed to make a difference to Miles from the routine I'm trying to vaguely adopt are firstly doing all you can to give them a decent sleep at lunch, secondly to give them a bottle of expressed milk or formula at 10pm (as they drink more as it's easier/less hard work for them than breastfeeding). Now I look back, it was when I stopped bothering to express a bottle each morning for that bedtime that his sleep all started going wrong. I think we have a greedy little bugger Wink

MotherOfCleo · 26/09/2013 22:04

seems yoga made my pgp flair up Sad ouch.
