Can't remember who posted what......sorry!

Nat as you know, I have a Harrison already and this one (if it's a boy) will be Theo.

orange was it you who posted about not wanting forceps? My birth plan says that forceps and ventouse are not to be used under any circumstances. Sorry that your car got smashed Sad

slippy my going home bag has a velour lounge suit track suit and a vest top. I intend on being warm and comfy.

Good luck to those of you having scary sounding jabs this week. Sorry if I've missed anyone, our threads always move so fast that I forget who said what!

I spent part of the day at a horse show with my dd. she came first for "young handler" and third for "driving type" (he is a 5 yr old gypsy vanner cob)

TheCatIsUpTheDuff · 08/09/2013 20:26

Smitten, our NCT teacher said raspberry leaf is fine from 29 weeks according to the midwifery books, the shops just say later to cover themselves. I started on one cup a day at 30 weeks and am still fine at 34+1.

We made good headway on the nursery yesterday, DH has designed his artwork to paint on the wall and we've swapped chests of drawers with my sister so once we've got it assembled, almost all the baby stuff can go away.

We're pretty settled on a name now - Hazel - so just plodding through the last few weeks until we get to meet her. I do have the swollen hands and puffy feet of the title, as well as what I think is mild SPD and constant heartburn. Sick of being pregnant now, and I've had an easy ride.

Looking forward to the babies starting to roll in. Will be very soon now!

Kelly1814 · 08/09/2013 20:44

Hello all! Been lurking for ages, checking back in. Due date is oct 8th but having ELCS on 16th September which is ONE WEEK TOMORROW!!!!eeek!

I have a cerclage, plus baby is measuring very small, 4 pounds,ax and 3 weeks behind, hence delivering at 36+6.

Hugely nervous, especially as baby will have to go into SCBU and not home with us.

Loving hearing everyone's stories Smile

Wickedgirl · 08/09/2013 20:58

Gosh Kelly, have they said how long baby will have to stay in?

JellyCurls · 08/09/2013 21:01

Love the name chat and can't remember who asked but Annie is my favourite in the list. We haven't decided on any names and will wait till baby here. We had a list for DD but picked a name that wasn't on it and same for DS so this time no names as it doesn't help us at all.

Lots of BH here tonight also as well as very soft poos and mucus discharge, sorry for the way TMI. DH is all excited in hope he gets a day off work tomorrow and doesn't believe me this can go in for weeks. Guaranteed though if it happens soon it will be Tuesday when we are taking DD to a long awaited hospital appointment.

OrangeBlossom2 · 08/09/2013 21:08

Good luck Kelly. Such a shame you won't be able to take him/her home with you straight away but they must think it is for the best in the circumstances. Well done for making it this far with the cerclage.

Kelly1814 · 08/09/2013 21:15

Thanks ladies. No clue how long will stay in, depends on things like temp regulation, feeding etc. will prob have to be tube fed.

cerclage was stressful enough, to then find out it isn't growing properly even worse! Friends keep having big chubby babies, 4 pounds seems such a fiddler. Half the size of my cat FFS!

Natalieand · 08/09/2013 21:21

kelly my sister had her baby at Exactly 37 weeks and she only weighed 4lb 15oz she was the cutest tiniest little thing ever. This baby is expected to weigh near on 9lb for me if not more and I'm hoping to go a little early so he will be a more average size. Plus dont worry about the weight side of it, they gain weight in no time at all. Even if baby does go to nicu u could only be there 48 hours or so?

Sorry if I'm not being very re assuring but sometimes babies r better out than in. Wishing u all the best xxx

Kelly1814 · 08/09/2013 21:38

Thanks Natalie, did your sister's little one need to stay in hospital for long?

Natalieand · 08/09/2013 21:42

She was in there for a week but that was mainly because it was a spontaneous labour so no steroids were administered and she had placental abruption and Emcs under general and they cut the baby's head with the scalpel getting her out as they had seconds to spare. I think had it been a straight forward situation she wouldn't have needed to go there at all as she had nothing 'medically' wrong her blood sugars nd temp etc were all fine it was simply for monitoring

Natalieand · 08/09/2013 21:42

Saying that kelly a friend of mine had a spontaneous labour at 34 weeks with no complications and he was only in nicu for 4 days then home.... So it really does vary on the situation xxx

HeffalumpTheFlump · 08/09/2013 21:51

Wow finally caught up!

orange so sorry about dh's car, some people just have no respect. Little shits. Angry

legally and skull goodluck for your cs, please come back and update on your babies and how the cs has gone. I'm having an elcs and would love to hear about your experiences. So excited for you both.

cazboldy I hope you managed to get in touch with your mw, and that all is ok. Sorry to hear you aren't feeling very well, it can't be easy with 5 other dc to look after.

slippy my cat has become seriously clingy. She's driving me bloody mad! I'm uncomfortable enough without her kneading and clawing me and dribbling all over me.

pinkforboys I love willow! It's beautiful! Would have seriously considered it if I had thought of it.

kelly good luck, i will be thinking of you and your baby.

jelly that all sounds very exciting!

Has anyone else turned into a psycho bitch lately? I mean the sort of psycho bitch who could happily punch a puppy in the face? I am seriously seriously irritable!!! Anything and everything brings out my rage.. Slow drivers, people in the supermarket, poor poor lovely dh, the cat, x factor... Everything!!!

I read something today that explained exactly how I feel physically. It said at this point we may start to feel like an overstuffed turkey. I'd say that's pretty much spot on!! I can't stretch anymore and i'm only at 35 weeks!

chickieno1 · 08/09/2013 21:56

Good luck kelly. I'm sure you'll be glad to have little one safe and sound with you even though it s a bit early.

I'm having loads of BH too. Now have lower back pain and dodgy tummy. The idea of this going on for weeks jelly is pretty crap :(

Sorry about dh s car orange

All the nesting and decorating sounds fab guys. Going to wait a few weeks to put cot up as think we ll put it in our room and just put Moses basket in it (if we decide to get one).

chickieno1 · 08/09/2013 22:00

Sorryskull I think I missed your post re CS? Is it this week too Blush

rachel sorry I know you're on mat leave now........ Do ou think its too late to get my teeth cleaned? I absolutely hate going to the dentist and have been known to go a bit green in he chair but think I won't have time to get it done for ages.

Natalieand · 08/09/2013 22:02

heffa I can deffo relate to some of the psycho bitch stuff lol when we was watching xfactor earlier I was commenting on each contestant when dh said to me 'u don't like anyone at the moment anyway do u?' And as for the supermarket.... Its like everyone thinks right she's pregnant aim your rediculously heavy trolley towards her and watch her struggle to turn hers away or accidentally knock her in the belly and pretend your sorry with a pathetic 'oh sorry' shocked face as if they never saw your beached whale sized self coming.

Don't even start me on road rage, dd frequently asks me what I'm shouting out when were in the car and she's just short of turning 3

Phew glad I got that out my system lol

How many of u ladies r finishing for maternity leave this week? Who's actually working the latest out of everyone?

HeffalumpTheFlump · 08/09/2013 22:13

natalie I was exactly the same about xfactor. They all pissed me right off. And the people in the supermarket!!! Grrrrrrr do they not realise that when you are this size you can't just leap out of their way?!

I am aware some of it is just me though... I got angry with a family helping their children to cross the road on their little bikes today. I'm not proud.

MotherOfNations · 08/09/2013 22:36

Heffa I think I'm the resident c-section expert on the thread if you have any questions. This will be my 5th c-section.

I'm feeling really sore tonight. Baby is still breech oblique and it feels like she is trying to force her head through my stomach. I'm fighting the temptation to physically push her back.

HeffalumpTheFlump · 08/09/2013 22:46

MoN thanks! I shall have a think and come back with questions! Too tired to even think tonight!!

PseudoBadger · 08/09/2013 22:46

Caz I hope you're ok x

Smitten1981 · 08/09/2013 23:02

Nat, I'm not starting mat leave until after the baby is here. Two weeks left in the office (groan), then I'm working from home for a month or until the baby comes. Then I'm taking my 14 days holiday I have left, then I start my mat leave officially after that which should be at the end of November!

However, I do have the option to stop whenever I want, so I'll see how I feel. I'm not really ever that busy at work anyway to be honest.

SeriousStuff · 09/09/2013 02:25

Nat I'm working until I pop! I'm self-employed and can only claim maternity allowance so can't afford to take more time off than that. And because I own my own business, I'll still have to sort out VAT/tax/annual return while I'm 'off'. Also, can only really afford to take 3 full months off, so will be back working part time by March...eugh!

Do I win!? I'm lucky I get to work from home though - if I was commuting, I would have had to finish work by now!

Natalieand · 09/09/2013 04:20

Bless u serious and smitten that's commitment for u. I understand where u r coming from serious as dh is also self employed in a commission based job so the longer he's off the less we earn he wants too take a week off then return but I'm not really sure how I feel about that as its dc2 I don't think I'd mind as much if it was dc1 as I'd have less on my plate..

Hope everything is ok with u falcon..... Its not like u not to keep us updated? Xx

Is anyone else suffering a cold ATM? I remember early on in feb-ish time we all seemed to have it and everyone seems to have escaped the 'summer cold' now I'm all bunged up and sore throat-y I hope it goes before the birth!

35 weeks today! Hooray xxx

xuntitledx · 09/09/2013 05:53

Laughing at heffa's comment about punching a puppy in the face Grin

I've had family staying again this weekend so I definitely feel a little irrational - strolling in, making a giant mess then strolling back out again! Grr...

Also feeling very uncomfortable at 36 weeks! C'mon baby...

OrangeBlossom2 · 09/09/2013 06:17

Yes Nat I got a cold the first day the children came back to school. Been up lots the last few nights sneezing, snotting, drinking to ease my sore throat, weeing more because of that, trying to breathe etc. bleugh. At least I didn't have the long two hour or so awake patch in the night tonight.

I am working until 4h October, 38 weeks. It was gong to mostly be in one year group just supporting/working with groups but got this weeks timetable last night and I am in one or two different classes each day and teaching whole class. It is going to be very tiring.

I wonder if we had any overnight babies. Nelly?
How's the head Caz? Falcon ok?

Iheartcrunchiebars · 09/09/2013 06:36

Morning everyone, a very hiccupy baby here this morning!

Smitten I'm the same as you and will work right up and after the birth. I'm just going to attempt to private message you with a maternity allowance question!
