our microwave blew up yesterday because somebody left a spoon in the bowl when heating up his beans. I'm not particularly hungry anyway, just know I need dinner else I will be starving at 1am. I just need to stop crying and pull myself together. My user name is being a self fulfilling prophecy right now as I have a horrible headache thanks to cutting it open and crying.

I know back ache is the worst. I might just go to bed at 8pm. Can't see the day getting any better haha. Enjoy your dinner.

I hope I feel better tomorrow. DP is on his way home from work now so at least I will get a cuddle and we can watch some rubbish telly.

Glad you enjoyed your dinner though. Hope your DP's dinner isn't too ruined for him. Nothing worse than horrible steak!

Hi all

Thanks for the shiny new thread...

This talk of Nutella and pistachios
makes me sad as I am not allowed to eat them as dp is allergic to nuts and there is a risk the baby will be as well!Hmm

Haven't been around much lately as still working on the house... We have bedrooms now and kitchen on order for end of month, had the tiler in today who did the worst job in the world so am quite annoyed... I reckon my dog could have done better! What's worse is it's an old school friend so feel difficult complaining.. :-(

Hopefully should be able to move in at the end of the month/beginning of oct.

My work replacement started today so training her up for 2.5 months... Poor thing must have been soooo confused! Baby brain meant I kept going from one thing to the next!!

Hope all the injuries are healing... I still have the odd pins and needles feeling just below my boob, mainly when I sit down and had the worst BHs when we were away that dp nearly stopped the plane taking off as thought I was going into early labour in Scandinavia... Thankfully all ok now...

Bloody indigestion/heartburn whatever it is- almost every bloody day now-grr!!! Thank god for Gaviscon...

Report
mumoftwoboysS · 02/09/2013 22:27

bonkers what does your BH feel like? I know I'm on no.3 and should know by now but feels different this time- been having really odd sensations on and off- like someone has pumped my bump up with a bicycle pump! Kind of painful but weird too. Last time just felt hard. Am pretty sure it's BH just didn't realise till a few days ago!..

Report
MrsShrubs · 02/09/2013 22:58

B0nkers I get that pins and needles under my boob too!! Only my left one and it really kicks in if I try to lie on my left side. So bizarre!

Jees sounds like everyone is having a right hard time of it!
Glad everything's ok Stom
Watching Archibald kicking my phone which was on my stomach earlier, great fun :) As if it's September already though! Which means the month after next we'll have to have everything ready! A friend who's a week or so behind me has calculated that it's 100 days till her bambino is due which means it's like 93 days till mine.... how absurd!
Tucking into a roast dinner at 11pm so hoping I wont have to reach for the Gaviscon straight after...

Well that was a shite nights sleep. Heartburn and restless leg, DC1 got up twice and woke up with a really dry mouth, turns out I was also snoring like a freight train. How attractive. Oh well 15 weeks and 1 day to go!

Mumof, not sure how to describe them, like period pain cramps but they were coming very regularly and fairly painful, I have a high pain threshold hence the panicking... With my DD I just thought I had a spot of constipation and even the MWs said I wasn't in enough pain so I will probably be going home after the examination.. (I was 9 cms dilated and she arrived 20 mins later!)..

Mrs, my pins and needles seems worse in the eve after dinner and mainly sitting down so I usually end up in bed by 8 as its the only way to get comfy... We're only 2/3s through... Imagine what it'll be like in 2 months!!

And my bump is enormous... DD is worried that the clothes we have bought will all be too small as the helpful assistant in mothercare said that babies rarely come more that 7lbs so suggested getting tiny baby clothes rather than newborn.. (She was only 19 so not sure how qualified she was to know that in retrospect!!)..

Report
mumoftwoboysS · 03/09/2013 08:17

bonkers I had that a week before dc1 was born- like a trial run labour so I'm not surprised you were worried, it's a bit early! Maybe your BH are just going to be more painful this time? Your labour sounds familiar! I was also v calm when on the phone to mw with Dc2 and they said to go have a bath etc. I got upstairs and realised I should be in hospital- but didnt make it! Next time we should both wail and shout down the phone despite how we're feeling- lol! They just assume you're not as far along as you are...

Well now many tiny baby clothes have you bought? It was true in my case that both DC's were far too small for newborn size for a few weeks but you could have a bigger baby! Perhaps 4-5 tiny size baby grows then next size up? Most people do end up putting their babies in oversized clothes initially! Also their arms and legs tend to still be curled up from being in the womb so the legs and arms always look too long!

Thanks crying it was lovely seeing jellybean again and he's most definately a boy Grin flashed his legs wide open lol. Baby is in the 65th centile for weight and weighs approximately 2llb 7oz right now (smack in the middle of range) so he should be around 7llb5oz ish like ds2. Future mil came and was so excited she never shut up the whole way there and back lol.
Still have to have another 2 growth scans at 32 and 36 weeks as consultant says its towards the end where growth can slow down but everything great so far Smile

Oh no clare I hope you're doing ok and baby starts packing on the pounds, ds1 was in the low centiles and ended up being born at 37 weeks and he was 5llb 6oz so please try not to worry (easier said than done i know) it is very possible placenta will move up before due date. I've got my fingers crossed for you.

bonker did you buy the tiny baby baby clothes? I had to rush out and get them with ds1 but he didnt seem to be in them 2 minutes. Ds2 wouldn't have fit in them lol so glad I bought new born etc. women next door to mil just had her baby boy yesterday and he weighed 8llb 13oz Shock I can't believe mothercare lady told you that lol.

Hope everyone else is doing ok and heartburn and aches and pains aren't being too much a pain in the arse.

Hugs to everyone Flowers

We haven't bought that many clothes so I'm not that worried, we were given a load from DPs family in Finland which we had to smuggle back on the flight home! Well my lovely DD managed to squeeze it all into one of the 3 small suitcases and all our clothes into 2! Luckily they were not over the 10kg limit for hand luggage! (Well one was but DP sort of lent it against himself so it was 9.9k!)!

I was told to have a bath with DD but the only reason I went in was because I was sick... Luckily I did! Still have my heart set on a home birth though.. Hopefully we will be in the house by then or my parents may not be happyeeting their grandchild on the kitchen floor!!

Good morning everyone!

Wow, Roselau, can?t believe you?re off to LA soon ? so exciting! I can see why you?d be a bit sad about your DH heading out there early, but sometimes needs must I guess. Are there plenty of people around to look after you once he?s in the States?

Glad to hear you got checked out Stom91, it?s always worth putting your mind at rest.

Aww, Crying, you poor thing! Hope all the wounds heal up nice and quickly ? sounds like you need wrapping up in cotton wool for the next couple of months! Don?t let the uni stuff get you down too much, if you really want to go back, you will, regardless of what anyone else thinks, and if you decide it?s better not to, that will be fine as well. As others have said, either way, you?ll have a lovely little bundle of happiness soon and nothing else will matter quite as much as that.

Sorry to hear about your growth scan clare8allthepies, it sounds like there?s plenty of time for your baby to catch up though and turn as well. I know what you mean about the monitoring being annoying, but you do get used to it and the reassurance of seeing that all?s well is really nice. We were on weekly monitoring until recently and now we?re down to fortnightly I actually really miss seeing them? Looking forward to my scan tomorrow! :) Get eating that cheesecake!

I?ve been having what I?m pretty sure are BH for a while now, just a sudden tightening and hardness of my bump for a couple of minutes, not really uncomfortable but did take me aback a bit to start with. I probably have a few a day at the moment.

I?ve mainly been buying the ?tiny? and ?up to 7lb? clothes, but given the likelihood that our twins will be premature, I think that probably makes sense. I?m hoping that anything we?re given will be ?newborn? or ?0-3 months? so that we?ll be ok for after as well, but who knows?!

Congratulations on the growth scan Alyssa1978!

My theory on having a later breakfast to avoid early morning sickness didn?t quite work out ? I ate a croissant and a banana on the tube and then promptly vomited into my hands and lap. Really gross and pretty horrible for everyone else in my carriage too, although they were all very sweet. I feel fine now but think I?ll lay off stuffing my face for a couple of hours... Oh dear!

Oh no hetsto !! Hope you start to feel better, I resorted to having a plastic carrier with me everywhere as I was sick every day until 18 weeks for that very purpose. Glad people were nice though, I'm just about to start my London commute for today.

crying if you want to go back then that's all that matters, my friend was in the same situation, our uni were great and really supportive, she went back part time so it took 2 years rather than 1 and she's finished this year.

Report
hetsto · 03/09/2013 10:36

Thanks MrsShrubs, I was doing that too, until about 14 weeks, but I really thought I was over all that now. Maybe time to restock the plastic bags!

I think it?s just that there?s so little room in there now, I need to try to eat more slowly and smaller amounts at a time. I?m constantly hungry so find myself wolfing down meals and then puking them up again fairly quickly. I actually feel pretty much ok in myself (especially immediately after I?ve been sick) so I?m mainly worried about maintaining weight gain for the babies really?

Its in the hope that December hurries up!
As iI'm getting fed up now!

I have my 25 week scan thurs. And because it's my first pg I gave one at 28 32 and 36 etc week.. So I'm hoping breaking into weeks like that will make it go slightly quicker? Lol.

Off to see a medium tonight (mum didn't want to go alone) not sure if u believe in all that stuff.. But who knows. see if anyone from 'the other side comes though lol

Ooh I am jealous of your christmas film storm I wish I got more scans. All I have is MW appointments until baby is born now. I wan't to see my baby again!

Roselau your day sounds lovely. I would just give up on work and chill out. Preferably eating rubbish food and watching rubbish tv Grin

I am currently making a big batch of vegetable soup and baking some banana bread. Both one handed and hopping around the kitchen. I've had to put my cut hand in a sling because I keep using it to do stuff with and getting the bandage wet/causing it to bleed more.

On my own till around midnight tonight as DP is off out straight after work so making nice food to distract myself from the fact I won't speak to a real human until tomorrow as I'll probably be asleep when he gets home.
