I feel very much single too as boyf and i have been together only 3 months but its a long distance relationship.....i dont want to commit tbh so ive brought it on myself..
ho hum.....im just too happy with the way my life is...

Coolhand · 27/07/2013 12:16

Awh Stephie, sounds like you have a little bit of empty nest syndrome with dd away. Hope she is feeling better soon.

Going back to the heartbeat app, I think it caused as much anxiety as it did joy on my last pregnancy thread when people couldn't find the heartbeat!

HamwidgeAlive · 27/07/2013 12:41

Holycow I'm so sorry for your loss :( Take care.

I've had a much better few days RE: sickness which is great! Except yesterday's lunch stayed down for about 30 seconds before making a reappearance. I've got my booking appointment later today. They're going to want more blood aren't they? Joy.

Absolutely killing myself laughing at dildocam! My scan last week was internal and so clear. Would they do an internal for the 12 week scan if I asked? All my layers of chub get in the way that early on.

I haven't been swimming or the gym since I found out. I've just been too exhausted and sick. I get home from work late and the gym is 30 minutes away so it adds a fair amount of time onto my day.

I keep having wobbles that I'm ruining my DS' life. How melodramatic! I think I will miss our time just us two. He's at such a lovely age. I had bad PND with him so a lot of these rushes of love and adoration are new to me Blush Do you think they know something's going on? He never naps on me, hasn't since he was 6 weeks old, but lately he's been napping on me, sleeping in my bed and being a bit clingy. He's like Lassie! He knows!

MummyPig24 · 27/07/2013 13:01

I had dildocam last week. I was amazed at hour clear it was. But I wasn't expecting it so it was a bit unpleasant especially as the sonographer wasn't very friendly!

PiratesMam · 27/07/2013 13:32

holycow so sorry for your loss Sad

LOL re: dildocam! No dildocam for me until 12 week scan. Main features of pg so far are feeling sick, spotty and some horrible headaches; actually lost some vision yesterday! Got a quiet night in this eve so will have an early night.

Anyone have any gender instincts yet? I'm thinking girl so far with this one. I don't think we'll find out unless DS seems like he's desperate for a brother - he currently has a very LOUD sister Grin

LyraSilvertongue · 27/07/2013 13:46

Hamwidge, I reckon DC can smell your pregnancy, much like a dog Grin Me and DSs had lots of discussions about having a little brother or sister, instigated by them, before I fessed up that I actually am pregnant.

I'm thinking this one will be another boy as my body seems to prefer making boy babies Grin

I had dildocam at my 8-week scan and found it quite painful when the doc decided to have a look at my ovaries. She could tell I'd ovulated from the left one. Years ago it was thought that the sex of the baby was determined by which ovary the mother had ovulated from Hmm

rosyryan · 27/07/2013 14:20

I'm so very sorry Holycow.

IceNoSlice · 27/07/2013 15:35

Hamwidge would it help to look at it like you are giving DS a gift of a sibling? Someone to play with when they're a bit older?

PiratesMam · 27/07/2013 16:06

Hamwidge I felt same having DD after DS. While I was pregnant I old DH he could look after DD and I would hang out with DS!! In fact he was so young (20 months) he didn't really even notice when we brought her home.
Now they are 4 and 2 and would be so bored without each other so don't worry, you're doing a great thing!!

Just discovered a great sickness eliminator - minestrone cuppasoups :-)

babybear9 · 27/07/2013 16:19

Scan date letter arrived. Aug27th. Feels sooo far away!

rescoonetwothree · 27/07/2013 16:59

thanks everyone for the exercise info!

babybear mine's the same date it really does feel like forever away!

holycow so sorry to hear your news

PramelaAndherson · 27/07/2013 17:02

After sleeping ten hours last night I have just awoken from a four-hour nap Shock

MummyPig24 · 27/07/2013 17:08

I'm pretty sure it's a boy. Just a feeling.

TWinklyLittleStar · 27/07/2013 17:19

Nice one pramela! I went shopping in town today and am now fit for absolutely nothing.

This morning, driving to the station, I had to pull over and throw up out of the car door while an old couple watched and judged. Mortifying. Based on this my sister thinks I'm having a girl.

HotCrossPun · 27/07/2013 18:10

I've just found out that my booking in appointment and scan will be on the same day - when I'm 13 weeks Shock

Five weeks is ageeeees away. I want a bump, I want to be able to tell people!

Coolhand · 27/07/2013 18:47

Hotcross my booking appnt and scan will be same day and I still don't have an appnt date! I may have to give up on telling people post scan if it ends up being really late as last time people were asking me how far along I was by 13 weeks - you couldn't hide it any more.

I have been having quite intense stabby pains in my left side since this afternoon. It's quite localised - I can pinpoint the area quite easily. I don't remember this from last time - I remember stretchy pains but at times, this is quite intense - had to do deep breathing while pushing son on swing this afternoon. It comes and goes though. Slightly freaked by it but not massively worried - had anyone had anything similar?

IceNoSlice · 27/07/2013 19:19

Am now 9+3 and no scan date yet Sad - do you think I should chase? Who? The GP or the hospital?

Coolhand · 27/07/2013 21:22

Ice I'm 8+5 and I'm giving it to the end of the working before I contact, so yes I'd go ahead and phone. I think I'd phone the hospital as it should be their appnt system.

Just watched Annie Murphy Paul's TED talk: What we learn before we're born. It was both scary and amazing about the impact of the 9 months on baby!

PiratesMam · 27/07/2013 22:00

Ooh coolhand what sort of things did they say on the programme?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 27/07/2013 22:33

I am convinced this one is a boy! I was certain my MC was a girl.
I had to undo my trousers today! I'm 7+1! The were digging in! Confused another hippo in waiting here! Sad

LyraSilvertongue · 27/07/2013 23:38

Yes Coolhand. What do they learn?

I vommed tonight for the first time in a week. I thought the sickness was over and done with. I had a small glass of wine and it made me nauseous. I guess it's good that my body has rejected it.

AndieDisestablishment · 28/07/2013 01:16

I hate these hormones already. I'm hiding in the toilet at work crying because a midwife spoke to me like crap. A midwife whom I had gone to do a favour for. Normally I would have just thought "whatever" but I'm in bits.

RugbyWidow7 · 28/07/2013 07:21

So sorry to hear your news holycow

Rockchick1984 · 28/07/2013 07:35

Wait til the angry hormones kick in Andie and you can't resist telling her exactly what you think of her Grin

FraterculaArctica · 28/07/2013 08:08

Can I join? Just got a BFP, 6+6 I think going by dates of last period. Think that puts me mid-late March.
