fingers crossed for you mimil

MummyPig24 · 25/07/2013 17:44

MTB what an arsehole!

5am, pangbourne is very nice!

MTBMummy · 25/07/2013 18:00

mimili another hand to hold. I hope your GP has gotten through to the EPU, my GP had the same issue trying to contact our local one when I MC'd in May. In the end they sent me to A&E with a letter and I got seen pretty sharpish.

5am second vote for Pangbourne. It's lovely and has really good schools too

MTBMummy · 25/07/2013 18:01

My current boss is a complete twat, I'm going to take his aggressive bullying emails and texts with me to my meeting tomorrow. I don't new this stress now.

Thanks all for letting me vent

mimili · 25/07/2013 18:18

Am 6.5 weeks lyra .

Am home now. I have to rest and if it gets worse go to a & e otherwise I should get a phone call from epu first thing in the morning apparently. They gave me a copy of referral paperwork. Dr refers to me as 'this lovely lady'

mimili · 25/07/2013 18:18

mtb just had a read through your posts. Am angry for you. hope all goes well with HR.

TWinklyLittleStar · 25/07/2013 18:25

mimili your doctor sounds lovely. Hope it all works out ok for you, how are you now?

mtb your boss is a total prick.

mimili · 25/07/2013 18:31

Thanks Twinkly shame he is a locum and not a regular fixture!

PramelaAndherson · 25/07/2013 19:09

I'm sorry to be a dick but please can you reassure me about my scan tomorrow at 8+1? I know the six-week scan showed a baby and a heartbeat but I keep remembering last year at the eleven week scan where they said baby had stopped developing very early on. I can't believe I hugged my belly for eleven weeks and there was nothing there at the scan. I try to tell myself that this is a beautiful young 24 year-old donor's egg but, still....

I'm sorry Sad

rescoonetwothree · 25/07/2013 19:22

I'm sure you'll be fine pramela! once you've seen a heartbeat the risk of miscarriage goes down significantly - i know sometimes this isn't the case but rest assured it is usually how it goes!

it is really hard after a mc to relax and enjoy pregnancy and the hormones heighten everything which is a shame because it's just when you need optimism the most, but our fingers are crossed for you, and don't be sorry, that's what this thread is for!

lotte82 · 25/07/2013 19:43

Hi all - first timer here. I am bursting at the seams to tell some of my friends but have been advised to wait until weeks 12-14 - but I can tell you guys!

Writerwannabe83 · 25/07/2013 20:22

Just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you Mimili x x

MTBMummy · 25/07/2013 20:32

Welcome lotte jump on board, grab a seat and hold on

Pram hand holding for your scan, as said already risk of mc decreases after there's a heart beat.

Thinking sticky thoughts for you mimili

Coolhand · 25/07/2013 20:32

Welcome Lotte - when are you due?

Pramela hope all goes well tomorrow. The h/b 2 weeks ago is a good sign that things were developing well. You've also had plenty of symptoms which is a good sign in my book.

Mimili fx crossed all okay.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 25/07/2013 20:42

Pramela, I've been there, I know how hard it is to remain positive after you've MC. Have a look over in the pg topic for the positivity/pg after MC thread. It's full of people who know exactly how you feel and are fabulous support. I hang out here for fun and chat and then when I get a bit angsty I pop over there for some comfort! Smile

LittleMachine · 25/07/2013 21:10

Pramela, I'm sure you'll be here posting good news tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you.

HotCrossPun · 25/07/2013 21:43

Got my fingers crossed for you that all is well tomorrow Pramela

What time is your scan? I'll be 8 weeks and booked in for one tomorrow too. We can be scan buddies.

I read a good statistic today. It said that if everything is okay at the 8 week scan then there is a 98% chance that you will continue to full term.

HotCrossPun · 25/07/2013 21:44

And you are not being a dick.

JBrd · 25/07/2013 21:46

Pram I can only agree with what the others have said - you have everything going for you after having seen a heartbeat 2 weeks ago! As long as you have that and your measurements added up, there is a bigbig chance that all will be fine tomorrow!
But I know exactly what you feel like, it is such a rollercoaster, especially when you've had an mc before. You can try to be rational all you like, but there's always the doubt... Will be thinking of you tomorrow!

mimili Fingers crossed for a sticky bean for you! I'm jealous of your lovely GP. Do you have the number for the EPU? I wouldn't wait too long for them to call, give them a ring. You need to get some reassurance - they might get you in for a scan, but at 6 weeks, it could be difficult to have conclusive results. Fingers crossed for you.

MTB Your boss sounds crap! Hope he'll get an earful from HR, I would most strongly complain, that is so not on.

Frankel Envy at your booking appointment. I have a whole week to wait for mine. Could time go any slower?!

I am so so tired - again. This is really new for me, I didn't have that at all in any of my previous pregnancies, neither the successful nor the unsuccessful ones. I feel almost physically ill. Doesn't help that DS wakes really early at the moment and wants to party. At 5am. I don't think so.

So goodnight, lovely ladies, I'm off to get some sleep!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 25/07/2013 22:00

I had a whole day without nausea yesterday, it was quite nice! Today sadly I've made up for it! EVERYTHING has set me off today! The worst thing is that the liquids are the worst! Milky drinks are a definite no no, fruity drinks just taste sickly, coke makes me gassy and water all tastes tinny! Sad I'm not sure what other options I have?!

PramelaAndherson · 25/07/2013 22:08

A massive thanks to you all for your kind words of encouragement. Saggy, thank you, I will seek out that thread, it sounds ace.

HotCross, thanks for saying I'm not a dick. My scan is 10am but my bus journeys are 1.5 hrs back and I don't have t'internet on my phone so will only be able to update around 12.30. I'm chuffed to bits we are scan buddies! What time is yours? I shall be thinking of you. I'll be 8+1 wks tomorrow.

Thinking of you tonight, Mimi.

Welcome, Lotte.

Thinking of everyone who is saddened and scared by past miscarriages.

mimili · 25/07/2013 22:16

Everyone is so kind. Thank you. Good news is that the bleed has appeared to stop. I ache a bit but no real serious pains. Your good vibes seem to have worked! (keeping everything crossed/touch wood etc)

Have just packed for the weekend (in laws and a wedding) so hoping for a smooth day tomorrow otherwise I could upset a few people's plans on sat.

Sending some good vibes back to all of you who need it (btw. I mean that but those words would have never been said in RL!)

IceNoSlice · 25/07/2013 22:17

Good luck with scans HotCross and Pramela.

By the way, phones with Internet are ace with little babies, especially if you BF and they cluster feed. That's what started my mumsnet addiction!

Felt rough rough rough today. And really lethargic. DH was a star though and put DS to bed as well as making me dinner. And fetching icecream Grin

PramelaAndherson · 25/07/2013 22:33

Ice, I have a contract with O2 and they keep trying to foist posh phones on me each time my contract is renewed but I refuse on the grounds that I don't want to disengage from the real world when I'm out and about. I love my phone, too. I can see I'll have to acquiesce, though, when baby comes [sigh]

IceNoSlice · 25/07/2013 22:43

Maybe you could get a phone what does WIFI? Not sure if they exist but something with no 3G on the contract? Then you can browse t'Internet at home and not have the distraction when out and about? Just a thought (and a thread derailments, sorry).
