Also (sorry) excuse the crap typos.. On my phone. I cannot seem to update the stats table on my phone as well. I don't have a c section date yet, but they're still surprises, despite seeing them on scans so often. Our final name choices are;

Hugo
Ralf
Valentina
Zara

Tarlia · 18/07/2013 16:04

Does anyone have one of these www.snugglebundl.co.uk/ ? Bit gimmicky, which I don't usually go for, but the whole concept looks great. Now to work out how/if I can be bothered to make one as not worth the £40 tag IMO.

Welcome back, legally. We were wondering how you were :). I was just thinking yesterday that I may only have 7/8 weeks left if this pregnancy ends like my last. Not long at all! I've just been putting freshly washed newborn and 0-3 month white clothes away - seems really surreal still. I best get my head around it all soon!

roxvox · 18/07/2013 16:24

legally I have updated the stats thread with your name choices! No advice re your c section recovery or your DD I am afraid, but pleased to hear you are doing well (albeit very hot!)

Tarlia that snuggle bundl looks kind of cool, but gimmicky. Naturally I want one now though Smile

Wow the fact that some of u only have 7 weeks left until u are considered 'term' is scaring me to death! Plus some of us are bound to deliver at 37 weeks and its not really that uncommon! I need to get my bum in gear I think

U must be really suffering in this heat legally poor u. When does your maternity leave start?

Have been round my friends all afternoon in the garden (all be it in the shade) when I got up to go and was walking to the car I started feeling all shaky and light headed but didn't wanna make a fuss so drove home its only about a 3 minute drive had some lemonade and feeling a bit better, u reckon sounds like low blood sugar?

roofio87 · 18/07/2013 17:18

yeah Natalie I get that feeling a lot, mw said that it can just be a bit hard to control your blood sugar when pg, I always feel better after something sweet. you're probably just too hot too if you're anything like me today!!

MotherOfNations · 18/07/2013 17:20

I think everyone is different when it comes to c-section recovery. I've always been one of the lucky ones who was up and about as soon as the epidural wore off.
I struggled more with my first but that was an emergency section after 19 hours of labour so I think complete exhaustion played a part in that.
Ds had only just turned 1 when I had my second c-section and a year later I had my 3rd. I was honestly fine but I was a lot younger then.

The only tip I can give is take pain relief when it is offered. Don't wait until you are actually in pain. Make the effort to walk a little each day even if it's just pacng the ward with the babies.

JellyCurls · 18/07/2013 18:09

falcon hope you ok after your hospital visit.

MoN that woman sounds like a complete nugget, good on you for walking away

legally think regression is completely normal when there is any upset in children's lives. Dd was 4 when ds was born but completely regressed behaviourally when I was pregnant. Hang in there

Probably missed loads of other posts to reply on but can't think just now.

Natalieand · 18/07/2013 18:13

jellys post just reminded me or something else I meant to post legally.... My dad is 2 years 9 months also and about 6-8 weeks ago she went through a phase of wetting herself for about a week countless times I just went back to basics with her as she has been dry since 21 months so it was out of character for her xxx

Natalieand · 18/07/2013 18:15

U just have to love auto correct don't u? of course my dad is not 2 years 9 months, I meant to say dd is 2 years 9 months lol

TheFalconsmistress · 18/07/2013 19:05

I'm home and snowgal just like you they have just put it down to one of those unexplained things Im starting to think it could be the heat.
I had severe chest pains and got rushed in by ambulance yesterday but scan came back clear which im glad of at least.

Thanks for everyone well wishes.

Nice to see you back legally xxx

roxvox · 18/07/2013 19:16

Glad all is ok falcon, and although no doubt stressful, it's good to know that they take it all seriously.

I am lying in front of my patio doors with DH's tennis shorts on, a vest top and my belly out trying to cool it down. Been such a hot day in our office! Thought I'd give it a chance as they bought an AC unit the other day, but it was still uncomfortably hot today and I am suffering from it still now. Working from home tomorrow I reckon!

Hi legally, we were wondering how you r. glad all is well with your little ones.

Thanks for concern about my ankles, but as they have gone down each morning I think it is just the heat and too much standing up. I will keep an eye though.

I managed to call the drs to ask why I had two missed calls from them - it wasn't pregnancy related at all, just time for my spirometry test they do for asthma every few years. Phew.

Someone said it is going to be 36 degrees next week. Eugh school will be horrendous, my room gets so hot.

Natalie you may have just been dehydrated?

OrangeBlossom2 · 18/07/2013 20:07

Glad all is well with you falcon and that you got good news pink.

Natalieand · 18/07/2013 20:20

Hopefully orange I had a glass of full fat lemonade then apple juice then went to go upstairs for a wee and felt like I was gunna faing so just sat downstairs on the floor. I've had a bacon roll now and another drink and feeling a bit better so probly just another heat related thing again!!

Glad to hear u have the all clear falconxx

Shootingstarsandcomets · 18/07/2013 20:31

Glad to hear all well falcon and welcome back legally
7 or 8 weeks left that is so soon........ C section recovery tips......um......... Rest as much as you can and even when you think you are recovered dont overdo it. My father is a surgeon and he said he tells his patients to do a little more every day. So if you can only walk 100 yards one day do 120 the next and build up slowly. I think I was slow to recover I found it so painful so take your pain relief regularly even if you think you don't need it, don't let it wear off. Take lactulose too as the pain relief makes you constipated! Get some big pants that cover your scar so they don't rub. Can't think of anything else at the mo!
Am happy today as am swapping consultants and the man I want is thrilled to have me as a patient! He's very good and if i have to have a section he is the one I want to do it so glad he is willing to have me as a patient. Phew! Weight off my mind that I won't be butchered at the local hospital here as its got a shocking reputation.

claphammama · 18/07/2013 21:32

welcome back legally! good to know everything is OK and the twins are doing well.

tarlia I believe the other school's catchment is now 380 meters. And it's twice as big as DS's achool. Crazy isn't it? So many people are upset as they thought they bought houses in the catchment area and now don't know what to do. (both of our next door neighbours with smaller children). I had a panic attack about a month ago, thinking that with the age gap we will miss the siblings policy but someone luckily pointed out that primary is 7 years including reception. I thought it was 6. So we will be OK - just about!! And yes, I've heard a lot of good things about their pre-school so will try to send the second one there. I absolutely love this school - so happy we got in! Although the experience of buying a house in the catchment area was a complete nightmare for a year!! A battle!

I feel utterly exhausted today and my legs are killing me. I'm not normally a crying baby type but they hurt me so much after my commute back home that I felt like I wanted to cry when I had to walk more to pick up DS from the afterschool club... And then had to cook dinner. Felt really emotional and sorry for myself earlier on!

claphammama · 18/07/2013 21:35

oh, DP had to go out to get some stuff for DS's lunch pack (farm trip tomorrow) and came back with a big bag of Haribos for me. Legs are still killing me but life is suddenly looking much better...

ananikifo · 18/07/2013 22:04

falconI'm so glad to hear you're home and ok!

legallyblond Welcome back!

clapham sorry you feel do bad today but I'm glad your DH knew how to make it better.

I've discovered baths as a great way to cool down and my twichy bump is so fascinating. Baby has been really strong and active lately. DH knows we should be seeing the big movements now and I've caught him staring at my bump today. I'd love to have him see and feel all the movements but often if I call him over it's too late, baby stops moving, and DH doesn't feel or see anything. It's such a privilege to be the one that gets to experience all of this first hand.

OrangeBlossom2 · 18/07/2013 22:21

Just been staring at my tummy thinking the same Ana. Think it must be all 4 arms and legs at once as my whole tummy is moving. DH has gone to bed bit I am reluctant to move, I love watching and feeling my baby.

OrangeBlossom2 · 19/07/2013 05:22

Been awake for an hour feeling uncomfortable and worrying about my performance management review this morning so have given up on bed and got up to have breakfast.

Hope the wedding weekend goes well shire and that everyone is feeling ok today.

No DTD in this heat, and even then not often as I haven't felt like it. I know what you mean about wishing DH was a little more upset about it!

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 19/07/2013 06:22

Good morning OrangeBlossom, another early riser here, thanks to a very annoying dog who decided she needed breakfast at 5.50am and wouldn't resettle. Now that I've given up and got up, she's curled up peacefully snoozing in her bed.

I hope your performance management review goes well today - fingers crossed for you x

Feeling very tired as DP and I didn't get to bed until 1am. DD has a bike skills session today at school and at 11pm, just before heading upstairs, DP casually announced he'd "....just give the tyres a quick pump up".

After 2 hours of fiddling with pumps, adapters and faulty valves...we finally finish the task..well DP did, but I felt obliged to sit and watch and make soothing sympathetic noises.

Does anyone else have this weird thing where the baby moves and your whole bump sort of trembles for a few seconds? Don't remember it with DD - she seemed to do more definite kicks and punches. Haven't a clue what the baby is up to....it's like he/she is shaking in there.

roofio87 · 19/07/2013 08:26

Bridget I get that too, he was doing it for the mw on Tuesday and she said he has hiccups!! he's got his back to my front at the moment which is apparently why I can feel these movements so clearly!!

JellyCurls · 19/07/2013 08:28

Morning, first day of my holidays today and I am so ready for it. Packing for four for two weeks in Spain is not going to be fun with a sore pelvis but sure it will be worth it.

Any top tips for flying at 29+ weeks pregnant?

Prob won't be checking in much for next two weeks as hotel is not wifi so good luck to everyone and hope we have no early deliveries when I am gone. Take care and see you all again in August and no doubt 3 threads on from here

Love JellyCurls x

Flyer747 · 19/07/2013 08:34

Have a lovely holiday Jelly. I found flying whilst pregnant a bit uncomfy so maybe walk around (my back was aching after 2 hours) we had moderate turbulence shortly after take off for about 30 mins and the baby was going like the clappers, it must have thought I was at Alton Towers Grin

I hope Kate Middleton has a boy or calls her girl another name as DP and I finally have another girls name we like Alexandra, he likes Alexandria more though I prefer the other, but that's a record as we only have Emmie as the other contender.

favellio · 19/07/2013 09:10

We have the same issue with the royal baby names flyer. Only boys name we can agree on, for a boy, is George, which is one of the front runners for royal baby Angry

Last night I was laying in bed watching TV, whilst absently rubbing stretch mark cream into my bump and boobs. It was taking ages to soak in and when I put the light on, I realised it was because my nipples were leaking clear fluid every time I massaged them, and I was inadvertently rubbing that in instead BlushBlushBlush
