Rake-that makes me feel a bit better, I literally know nothing about gardening. And no I wouldn't be doing it-another job for dh! Will wait till end of Sept at earliest (although lo is due 26th so maybe unlikely!)

Enjoy the course Kitten, will be interested as to how you get on, it's something I fancy doing. How did you find the course?

PurplePoppySeed · 12/07/2013 21:31

hetty I've been exactly the same all the way through, have always struggled to eat in the evenings! Now it thinks its as you say - no room... Earlier on I guess I just had 'evening sickness'

PurplePoppySeed · 12/07/2013 22:25

Sorry-can't type "now I think it's as you say"

BTW does anyone else frequent any other forums? I'm on a car forum which is 99% men and maybe I'm less tolerant because of hormones, but they are being such a bunch of bitchy, moany, women today, abusing each other, getting banned etc yet in the same chat section there is a thread titled "women" asking - do all women moan and nag all the time! I feel like started a thread titled "take a look at yourselves" but I'd prob be banned too Angry /rant over!

RunningBear78 · 13/07/2013 06:54

purple no I don't use other forums, from past experience they are very male dominated and tend to be full of whining loons Hmm

RunningBear78 · 13/07/2013 06:59

badguider loved the email, I do find it odd when I stumble on people who use the term confinement instead of maternity leave! You should correct them, and point out that you intend to be up and about quite quickly!
ION slept through the whole night!!! Hurrah. So exciting Smile hope I won't need an afternoon snooze as we are off to Liverpool to watch some national trithlon races.

MrsMangoBiscuit · 13/07/2013 08:01

Me too Running! Slept from 10 - 5, without a single toilet trip, or waking from DD! Felt pretty good this morning. Also seems to have helped my feet, which actually look feet shaped again.

Kitten, I suggest tissues and waterproof mascara. Children and infant first aid courses seem to have that effect on me, add in the hormones and I doubt I'd be able to stop my eyes leaking. Blush

Pulling the idea from FB (because I'm not going to post this there!)...

You know you're in the third trimester when...

You finally have enough energy, are not in pain, and are not too hot to DTD. After struggling with the logistics, you get bad cramp in your leg and end up in hysterical floods of tears! Totally killed the mood! Poor DH! Blush Grin Blush

TripleRock · 13/07/2013 08:14

Oh no MrsMango!

I'm sorry but that did make me laugh a little. Hope your DH can see the funny side :)

MrsMangoBiscuit · 13/07/2013 08:34

Don't worry, he did! Unfortunately his laughing my me cry harder! BlushGrin

Readytosettle · 13/07/2013 10:18

Ha ha, that's v.funny mango. I've taken to pouncing on DH in the shower as it's just too hot/awkward in bed....fed up of having to stop halfway to say 'err I don't think that's going to work' or worse carrying on regardless & ending up feeling like ur about to suffocate at any moment as your lungs get crushed up into your neck!

Fozziebearmum2be · 13/07/2013 10:23

Mrs Mango you made me laugh!! Grin

Why is it when you finally feel you want to dtd that the bump seems to always be in the way and then kicks you at a really inappropriate moment... Really doesn't help get you in the mood!

ION -not managed to get to h&m to have w look at those dresses you all recommended yet, so off out for lunch in the heat with leggings.... Only cool outfit I have is indecent shorts and they cannot be seen outside the house so leggings it is Sad

Dreading the heat...just hoping there's aircon inside...

Fozziebearmum2be · 13/07/2013 10:28

OMG..... Hope no-one has one of these....

... didn't kirsty allsopp have a bit of a whopper too - I remember the headline/joke being Dilation Dilation Dilation!

Def know where you're coming from on the shagging front... think we did it once relatively recently, can't quite remember when, was probably in June some time. Blush

'Do Birth', 'Ina May's guide' and the 'Father's Home birth Handbook' arrived from amazon this morning. I'll be reading my two on the tube in/out of work, see what looks I get!!! Oh and also got a 5-dvd Sesame Street box set to keep DS1 occupied when newborn takes up lots of attention! We have never ever used to tv as a babysitter before but the newborn days might be the exception.

CharlW1 · 13/07/2013 12:08

OMG with 14lb baby! I can't imagine a baby that size! it just shows that they can't tell the size of a baby past a certain point though - I have had so many friends be told that there baby is on the small or big size for them to be a totally normal weight when they arrive.

On the DTD front ne and OH haven't done it for a few weeks now as baby's kicking put us both off. Still have intimacy but not actual sex. I have said that we both need to make the effort when baby comes as I think it would be easy to carry on as we are.

ION I had a scan this week and low lying placenta has moved well and truly out the way - phew! also got put on meds for diabetes. Have to go for another scan at 37weeks to check babies growth (though comment still stands above) to see if I will be induced or not.

JammyTummy · 13/07/2013 13:03

Just been reading some of the name threads. These women are soooo cruel. I would kind of like to tell them to get a life but feel its best not to get involved.

fl0b0t · 13/07/2013 18:09

Hello!

Sorry I've been quiet- those on FB will know I was involved in a smallish car accident on Thur and spent all night in hosp (mostly waiting for my anti-D top up injection). Bit stressful..... but baby and I are fine!

BLOODY HOT THOUGH! Bit annoyed as I've just lost the whole day going 400 mile round trip with my sister to get measured for a bridesmaid dress at a horrible grumpy-staffed shop in Leicester!

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 13/07/2013 18:17

::wilting::

I have got reflux I think. Had a glass of apple juice earlier and then had a horrid sensation of stomach acid sort of pooling in my throat. Am just so completely wiped out by the heat, I feel pathetic and useless. I have three (work) things I should be doing before Tuesday and unless tomorrow sees me wake up with bright eyes and a bushy tail it's just not going to happen. I have to drive up to Lincs tomorrow afternoon for two days of work up there, but I will be staying with a lovely friend, friendDH and two cute toddler boys so it is not a chore.

Glad you are unscathed from the accident Fl0 - we didn't only miss you because of the "Facebook forriners" confusion!!!

fl0b0t · 13/07/2013 18:47

Hello again! Unable currently to read through 5 pages, but I've got the FB gist, so thanks for flagging it up! I've messaged our potential interlopers!
Also added Jennie as an admin so I hope she can help out!

jennimoo · 13/07/2013 19:07

If everyone's agreed ill tweak the FB group name, taking out MN first then the September bit afterwards?

Rake - I have that: putting on shoes is a nightmare... I'm just glad it doesn't sound like heartburn (I don't think I've ever had it, even in last pg...)

The heat is a nightmare but glad I bought a massive paddling pool!

Fozziebearmum2be · 13/07/2013 19:44

Noticed lots of changes to fb, wondered what we're doing with interlopers? Smile

jennimoo · 13/07/2013 19:57

We're PMing them a slightly cryptic message (good thinking Flo) and if they aren't MNers sending a polite message and removing.

Group is now secret so no one can see it exists and ask to join. We can organise joining through here. I temporarily ren

Geesescareme · 13/07/2013 19:58

On the weight gain issue, it is possible! I lost 10lb in the beginning and have only managed to put 4lb back on since 20 weeks. So altogether I have actually lost half a stone! I think it all just depends on your weight before. As I was a 16/18 before getting pregnant I think things just got converted into making baby and not fat! A friend of mine who is a similar size to me lost 4 stone in the end!!

Thanks for all the updates of the Facebook group, I wonder how they will respond to the messages Fl0 sent them?!

jennimoo · 13/07/2013 19:58

Ahhh!

Removed description so no mention of MN now I don't think.

I've already removed a couple but any I've not had replies from in a few days I'll remove!

jennimoo · 13/07/2013 20:02

The replies I've had have just said 'sorry, thought it was just any old group for sept mums' and been fine.

Laura F has a MN name and is going to find this thread, hope that's ok!

Dancemummy09 · 13/07/2013 20:07

I'm new, I'm Laura, I am due sept with baby number 4 (a girl) and I have a 3yo boy and 1 year old twin boys. I'm a choreographer and am looking forward to getting to know some people in the same situ x
