New thread... will try to find the stats thread and link...

OP posts:

Right - caught up!

ready I have the same JoJo shorts - lived in them on my holiday and again for the last week - they are great :)

Nosebleeds - my friend had them loads towards the end of her pregnancy, apparently they a common symptom in the 3rd trimester and I bet the heat makes them worse :(

Gums - I've had issues with my gums for years not realising that they were probably linked to gynae issues... They'd actually been better during pregnancy, but just started to get bad now :( I've also got to say a big YY to corsodyl dipping with the toothbrush and I'm sure they'll improve after baby arrives!

FB - was also wondering about the randoms, but as I hadn't checked the thread for a while, I assumed I just was out of date. I'm pretty sure it is a private group in so much as onbly Fl0 can allow access + it definately doesn't show in my profile to my friends, however, perhaps anyone could apply? Anyway - in agreement to all suggestions & well done Jenni, SGJ and anyone else who's been sorting it.

Babies position - my midwife told me this week that if you are being kicked on the inside of the ribs/liver area they are often head down and back-to-back (as mine is at the mo :( )

PurplePoppySeed · 11/07/2013 13:28

ps. also struggling to concentrate at work, due to the weather and pregnancy :) spent all morning catching up on this thread Blush

flipflump · 11/07/2013 13:37

Kitten, I've been taking Spatone for 4 weeks. No idea if it's working as midwife cancelled app and haven't had bloods re-checked. I don't feel anaemic or overly tired. It hasn't upset my digestive system at all.

TripleRock · 11/07/2013 13:55

I think Spatone is fairly mild and well thought of as easier on your digestion, however it's a bit expensive (so I've heard) and not suitable if your levels are really low. Don't think you can get it on prescription unfortunately

twintrimum · 11/07/2013 14:46

Triple I had a similar night to yours ? in the bathroom several times from 5am onwards. I?ve been sick a few times this morning too. I started to wonder if it was a pre-labour ?clear out? but I?ve had a 32 wk scan today and all is fine ? no sign of them trying to make their escape. I?ve been told to go back at 35 weeks to see if they are still breech and to work out delivery options.

Welcome geeandfeesmum I hope your appointment next week is reassuring but do call them this week if you want to check things out.

I finish work tomorrow. I am no use to anyone now so I am so relieved to be going. I really hope I will quickly lose interest in work like you have Jennimoo.

I'm not in the FB group but agree with all the comments, I wouldn't want randomers having my details. I will look for the group but I will send a pm before joining.

jennimoo · 11/07/2013 15:18

Once FB group is sorted we'll have some kind of 'system' for joining to make sure you can all join if you like. Perhaps PMing an admin through MN or something...

RunningBear78 · 11/07/2013 15:36

Oh my word, I have just had the most incredible hour having a pregnancy massage. You all HAVE to get one!!!!

Followed by frozen yogurt Grin

jennimoo · 11/07/2013 16:27

Very jealous running bear! Did they have a hike in the table for your bump or did you sit up?

RunningBear78 · 11/07/2013 16:31

Half of it was done sitting up, well reclining backwards, then my back done lying on my side propped with cushions.

NB does leave you even more useless and spaced out than normal, in a nice but not very productive way though!

PurplePoppySeed · 11/07/2013 16:42

totally agree, they are lovely :) I've been seeing a sports physio to help with PGP and I always sleep so well after one of her massages!

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 11/07/2013 16:45

where did you have it done RunningBear? I have next Wednesday afternoon off work and am currently trying to decide between a pedicure and facial at Cucumba on Poland Street (Soho) which is quick and cheap (ha! relatively for central London!), or the cowshed which does a load of luscious sounding maternity treatments for more money and more relaxing atmosphere/time. DH will be doing his version simultaneously at the Floatworks in Southwark for a massage and floatation session, then we will meet up and go for a bit of sushi and shopping. I can't wait...!!

CheeseStrawCraving · 11/07/2013 18:23

Errrrm, just thought you'd like to know that yesterday DH and I sunbathed on the beach (in the UK?!) and I actually dug a hole for my belly in the sand and laid on my front. It were bloomin lovely!! Grin

Readytosettle · 11/07/2013 18:37

Ah, loving the happy vibe on here today! I too have indulged in pregnancy massage this week (bliss), loving the idea of bump hole on the beach....I've got a lovely holiday glow (anyone would think i'd been abroad going by my arms/lower legs), but sadly it's very much one-sided as I'm not near a sandy beach & therefore had no solution for tanning my back!!

Been having naps everyday, reading & eating loads of sweets & ice cream....really not looking forward to going back to work next week!

HettySunshine · 11/07/2013 18:38

CheeseStraw, that sounds like bliss! I'm so jealous, I really miss lying on my tummy.

I'm thinking of booking a massage with a lady that came and did a talk at my yoga class last week. I'm just starting to feel the aches and pains and feel like I'm ready for a bit of pampering.

Ion is anyone else finding their appetites are dropping off a bit? I eat fairly normally during the day but I hardly feel like anything in the evening. I suppose it may well just be the heat but wondered if our tummies are squashed up by this point?

Good work on the FB group, I haven't posted on there for a while as I wasn't sure who the randoms were. I agree with the idea of confirming identities before letting new people join. Especially as we are talking about meet ups etc.

Dorita75 · 11/07/2013 18:56

Oh god, I sneezed and peed down my leg this morning (in my 2 sizes too big pyjama shorts), I thought this was meant to happen after the birth?!

Welcome to the new ladies! Sorry others have not been well.

joskar I?ve been reading up about movements because I had a quiet weekend and was bit worried (all fine now and I?m getting lots of rolling around not just kicks!) but like readytosettle says apparently 30-32 weeks are when there?s most movement, after that the baby gets too big for lots of movement. So you?re probably bang in big movement time?!

I?ve felt like the baby was lying across sideways somehow and very similar to what others have said, but sounds like it could be in any position really from what you all say!

I joined then left the FB group, because I have enough trouble keeping up with this thread!!

Kittenkatzen · 11/07/2013 19:20

Thanks flip, I'm all stocked up on Spatone now do hopefully it'll do the trick! triple my levels were only a teeny bit low so that's prob why she recommended it then, along with the dietary advice. DH reckons I'm not allowed cheese on my spag bol tonight though as the dairy will counteract the iron in the meat. I shall be telling him to get stuffed Grin

I'm not a massive fan of massages generally....am totally Envy of your frozen yoghurt though runningbear mmmmm...

hetty my appetite has dropped off massively too - I'm eating roughly half portions of lunch and dinner now, and snacking much less too. Except for strawberries which I could eat for England.

Readytosettle · 11/07/2013 19:32

I've lost my appetite too...all I want is icecream, the thought of a meal is just too much!

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 11/07/2013 20:03

I've accidentally bought two copies of Ina May's guide to childbirth on amazon. Must have been finger slippage. If I can't return one, would anyone like it? £8.40 and can hand it over anywhere in central London or maybe around Hertfordshire/Bucks...

frogchops · 11/07/2013 21:12

Anyone remember my vile beast of a lovely SIL? the one selling all of her baby items on Facebook knowing full well I'd see them?
They obv haven't sold, she's offered them to me now.
Harsh of me to politely decline?

Dorita75 · 11/07/2013 21:29

Politely frog?!!

Joskar · 11/07/2013 21:35

Gift horse in the mouth?

There must be a passive aggressive way of accepting them so that she knows she's a mean biatch but you still get free stuff. Or is it all rubbish? Or is it just too awful to contemplate contaminating your child with her nasty person cooties?

CheeseStrawCraving · 11/07/2013 21:39

Or accept it and then let her know none of it was really suitable. Mean I know but you'll feel better!

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 11/07/2013 21:43

You could say you'll see if you have time at some point to have a look through what she's got... Maybe there would be the odd thing in there that meets your standards? Grin

I've been sucked in on eBay again. I just received some parcels of things I bought last weekend, and I had to go in and do feedback, it's only polite... Just checked some of my saved searches for all the lovely lovely scandi designer things, and now I have a bid in on a little blue romper with matching hat and a line-drawing style pattern of a grinning tiger. TOO CUTE!!!

frogchops · 11/07/2013 21:51

It's not necessarily rubbish (some of it I actually bought for my nephew myself hence my annoyance at it bring sold for pennies!) but she has also said she's got 40 odd bibs, loadsa cot bedding and Muslins and wash cloths. She tried to sell bibs, for pence!
I think Dorita is thinking like me!!
Harsh?

JammyTummy · 11/07/2013 23:08

Frog she sounds like such a dick...
I know it's like cutting off your nose to spite your face but I wouldn't personally take anything from her.
