ION, got super hot at work today (only bloomin' forgot to turn the air con on) and almost passed out in a v dramatic way... muppet!

SGJ · 09/07/2013 19:03

I don't think the randomly can see anything on your profile if its fairly private and you're not their 'friend'... though granted there is a fair amount of info on the spreadsheet...

jennimoo · 09/07/2013 19:05

It's the spreadsheet, the threads about where we live etc that makes me uncomfortable. Perhaps I'm just being overly sensitive pregnant lady!

Derpess · 09/07/2013 19:28

Hi all
Sorry to barge in on the Facebook chat- I'm not on Facebook but will try and get round to joining at some point...

Someone asked about nosebleeds- I haven't had any but my gums are still bleeding really badly. It's like something from a horror film when I brush my teeth.

Ion- had a scan today and have been booked in for a c-section on 21 August as twin 1 is breech. Although there is still a little bit of space/time left for then to turn around the consultant thinks it is unlikely.

All getting very close now!

jennimoo · 09/07/2013 19:40

Derpress - corsodyl mouthwash is good

And wow, that doesn't seem long to wait!

andadietcoke · 09/07/2013 19:46

Glad I'm not the only one who wondered who on earth they were!

twintrimum · 09/07/2013 19:54

Derpress, I'm glad you now have a clear plan.
I've got bleeding gums. I clean my teeth then afterwards I dip my toothbrush in some corsodyl and brush it gently into my gums. I do that twice a week on the hygienists instructions. She said to go back a couple of months after the twins are here as it should calm down but sometimes it doesn't. Hope that helps x

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 09/07/2013 19:57

I'm uncomfortable with the two randoms. Could we take down the spreadsheet now, and then gradually figure out how to quietly bin them from the group?

Fozziebearmum2be · 09/07/2013 19:58

Know this has come up previously and someone posted a helpful link but can't find it!

What kind of knickers is anyone getting for post birth? Was in m&s and found some big pants but have no idea what size to buy and what sort? If they need to come up above scar then will need them big to get over my bump which I imagine will still be pretty prominent......

RakeABedOfTyneFilth · 09/07/2013 20:02

Or we could start talking a lot about meet ups for a cup of tea in Little Snoring. Or Chipping Sodbury. And all compare weight gain in kilos and tummy girth in cm. Oh it's brought out my Mean Girl side...

kipsonline · 09/07/2013 20:39

I'm so pleased you raised this jenni I was felling a little Hmm about it too but didn't know if I was over reacting in a hormonal way?! I think it's just that we have all spent 8 months bonding now over every funny, embarrassing and genuinely scary miniature of pg and it feels a bit of an intrusion almost to share that with total strangers on the other side of the world...

Derpess · 09/07/2013 20:41

Thanks for the tips re the Corsodyl- will give that a try.

kipsonline · 09/07/2013 20:41

ION I have 1 day left at work. Oh yes! Annual leave from thurs until induction on 14 aug (or before if the boy decides he can't wait that long..eek) then 9 mths mat leave. Hurrah!!!

Fozziebearmum2be · 09/07/2013 20:42

In nosebleed news I've had blood in my nose since about week 6, but woke up last night with a full on nosebleed :-( on the plus side, gums seem better....

SGJ · 09/07/2013 20:45

I can take down the spreadsheet if people are feeling uncomfortable about sharing info; even though we're all total strangers ourselves, I've shared poo stories with you so feel like I've known you all for ages!

JammyTummy · 09/07/2013 20:48

Hmm the whole hamburger conversation is gettin a little bit much now...

SGJ · 09/07/2013 20:51

Or could the admin just remove/block them? Harsh but effective... Fl0 - are you the admin?

Fozziebearmum2be · 09/07/2013 21:19

Agree, I've been digging round their profiles (the bit I can see) and sure they're either based in US or Hong Kong so very much doubt they're part of our Mumsnet group.

jennimoo · 09/07/2013 21:32

I can cross check the spreadsheet tomorrow then message those who aren't on there and ask for their NNs then we can block the non MNers if we want to... ?

Wincher · 09/07/2013 22:12

I haven't joined the fb group mainly because I don't want people I am friends with on fb to know my mumsnef id. My previous antenatal/postnatal Group with DS is still going strong three years on on Facebook - our group is secret so no randoms can find it. Can we maybe change the setting to secret? Then anyone wanting to join on here would have to pm their facebook name to the admin person whoncould then add them.

SGJ · 09/07/2013 22:38

I think it is secret in so far as what you posted wouldn't show up on your friends' newsfeeds...

badguider · 09/07/2013 23:04

Now that most who want to have found and joined the FB group we could up the privacy more so it doesn't even appear if you search.
Obviously at first it had to so we could all find it but anybody here wanting to join could ask for an

Another one here wondering who te randomers are - any clues yet? Weird they turned up at the same time too...

Kittenkatzen · 09/07/2013 23:13

twintrimum thanks for the corsodyl tip - my dentist prescribed this for me a month or two ago but I found it made the inside of my mouth peel (grim) so I stopped using it. Will try the dippy toothbrush idea!
