I can sometimes hurt myself sneezing, like a pulled muscle almost, hormones can make you more prone to muscle and ligament injury too. I'd maybe speak to your MW about it though? For reassurance if nothing else.

Well had an early scan at 5+3 and she checked my ovaries and said all was fine. Have booking in appointment on mon so will check with mw just worried something may have gone wrong as been feeling loads better recently

laura0007 · 04/07/2013 21:51

I'm 9+4 tinkerbelle and I honestly wouldn't know I was pregnant. My symptoms have completely disappeared except taking my bra off at night causes my boobs to feel like they are filled with bricks. But that's it. So you're not the only symptomless one! Don't worry I'm sure everything is fine. Think positive Smile

littlestgirlguide · 04/07/2013 21:53

My husband is sitting here with a lovely bottle of Rioja. I can almost taste it!

misskatamari · 04/07/2013 21:59

I hope it's nothing to worry about tinkerbellefairy - it is so hard not to worry yourself at every twinge. I think our hormones are loosening up ligaments and stuff though so like bearfills said hopefully it's just that.

Very jealous of the ladies whose symptoms are easing - but its also good to know. I'm 9 weeks tomorrow so hopefully might start to feel better soon Smile

laura0007 · 04/07/2013 22:11

Ooh littlest! Everyone I speak too says they went off wine as soon as they were pregnant. I have definitely not gone off it. Went out for dinner with my friends the other night and every time they weren't looking I had a big sniff of their wine Grin would it be totally bad to have a little sneaky glass on Saturday seeing as its my birthday? Won't give the baby hiccups or a hangover will I?Blush

gnittinggnome · 04/07/2013 22:50

laura I've been taking sneaky sips from my DH's wine/beer, except when he gets pear cider, which he knows I don't like. A mouthful here and there will barely register in your bloodstream/liver, so my thoughts are that a taste won't harm either of us, but that's a taste, not half a bottle...

It's also great for DH, as we're not keeping booze in the house any more, so he's drinking less and losing a little weight himself, so it's all good ;-)

apprenticemamma · 04/07/2013 23:16

Laura was just saying on the other thread how had a tough day and was so tempted for pinot grigio. dh and I like ships in the night so we sat down together nice meal watched breaking bad and yes a v wee glass of wine spritzer. Considered it thrapeutic. Going to France next week , the land of mussels soft cheese and wine so I plan a wee tiny Spritzer every couple days should be ok (but staying away from mussels and brie Sad )

Thisisfreakingmeout · 04/07/2013 23:30

I thought seafood is ok as long as its cooked properly? Isn't it good for lots of minerals we need too?

apprenticemamma · 04/07/2013 23:39

hmmmmm thought shellfish was out though...in saying this I'm now going have to Google it and gen up on what we ought to be avoiding. (And no doubt French pregnant ladies eat and drink as they wish!)

apprenticemamma · 04/07/2013 23:43

freaking apparently as long as well cooked but I guess it's a risk in my head still esp in first trimester..I might sneak one off dh plate though.

apprenticemamma · 04/07/2013 23:46

hmmm Dr Google is also permitting the odd morsel of brie here n there.....Smile

Bearfrills · 05/07/2013 06:39

Cooked seafood is fine, even sushi is fine as other has to adhere to hygiene controls such as rapid freezing to kill bacteria.

vix206 · 05/07/2013 06:55

Tinkerbelle what you've described does sound like normal ligament pains. I get them too if I move suddenly or if I cough/sneeze in an awkward position. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about Smile

I feel like I'm showing already... I'm finding myself rummaging through my wardrobe to find anything that feel.remotely comfortable in. Don't want anyone else to see what I think I can see! Not yet!

7+6

Thisisfreakingmeout · 05/07/2013 07:34

lyndsey I'm the same. I'm beginning to think I dress like a hussy normally, my clothes are too tight!

Bearfrills · 05/07/2013 07:41

I'm going to buy some sickness bands today - £2.90 at Wilkinsons if anyone is interested.

tinypolkadot · 05/07/2013 07:43

Just had a bit of brown cm when I wiped Confused worried.

I haven't even had a bloody midwife appointment yet - who can I talk to?

Bearfrills · 05/07/2013 07:55

Your GP tiny, they'll be able to direct you.

How far are you again? It's common to get a little bit of spotting around about when your period would have been due, it sometimes takes AF a few cycles to realise it's not needed anymore!

Pops78 · 05/07/2013 08:04

Hi tiny, might be nothing but if you want reassurance is there an early pregnancy unit at your local hospital. You can call and see if you can get an early scan maybe I did that at 6+4 last time when I was freaking.

tinypolkadot · 05/07/2013 08:07

Thanks guys, hubby is taking me to the hospital.

V scared. I'm 9 + 3 today

vix206 · 05/07/2013 08:09

Good luck tiny. Keep us posted x

Sassy20 · 05/07/2013 08:26

Tiny - try not to worry. I had early bleeding with first pregnancy and epu told me its quite common so doesn't always mean something bad. Hope all is ok. X
