Likewise mrs ross I'm smiley faced at all the Improvements occurring, it's really wonderful :)

I'm so knackered this avo really hope baby doesn't try to move as energy is completely depleted!

Off to have a quick catch up on the tennis-don't know what's occurring....

Ooh I missed the Murray match - DS1 refused to let me watch it as he watched the Wimbledon final with DH last year and was heartbroken when Andy lost. Will have to take a look on Wimbledon today.Went to Dalston House earlier - its great and got a nice picture of me and bump lurking in an upper floor window to remember the end of this pregnancy by. Nice people in Hackney were wishing me well with the baby's arrival too so all in all a good day.

BB01 - so pleased rooming in is going well and hope you get discharged on Friday. Glad all good with you McKTastic - let me know Murray's birth weight if you want it added to the outies list. Citizen - so pleased ds is over the worst of it - may be worth checking with the nursery as I think policy varies from place to place about when you can send them back in (at DS's school its when the last spot has scabbed over they can go back in).

Sunday - I lay on my left hand side earlier today and noticed I seem to have a lot of wax in that ear - another delightful side effect of pregnancy no one tells you about! Glad you've dealt with the rogue pineapple - hope it has some effect for you.

MW came this afternoon and noticed B has a small tongue tie, I suspected DS had one too but as he always gained weight OK and we never had any BFing problems, we never did anything about it. Are there any other signs I should be looking put for that we should get it snipped, does anyone know? She has lost 7% of her birth weight (day 1) but I think that is within normal? She is feeding lots but I don't think in itself is unusual or worth concern. Latch looks good to me and feels OK.

Otherwise all well here, we got out to our local Playbus session this morning to the shock of the playworkers and other parents! Physically and mentally I am so much better than I was after DS1 (forceps, big blood loss, 3 days in hospital, transfusion etc) - basically feel pretty 'normal' except a tad sore in the undercarriage if I forget my painkillers (had a 2nd deg tear, stitched up).

dinkystinky · 03/07/2013 20:51

Sounds like you're on a post birth high Vinegar - long may it last! Make sure you taken some time out to chill too though. Have you taken a look on kellymom.com re tongue tie? Also worth posting in the feeding boards as some of the experts lurk on there.

thinking Amh is hoaching, cross your legs and stay home

Sad
Thinkingof4 · 03/07/2013 21:16

Abzs Oh no! Last time it took hours to get bed on midwives unit as so busy so no g&a while waiting, and ds3 was born 20 min after finally getting a room!
Hoping I wouldn't need to go to postnatal ward. Will you get home tomorrow do you think? Hope you are feeling ok and not too sore after the forceps

Abzs · 03/07/2013 21:34

I really hope so. Don't know though as have to see renal as well as obs in the morning and still Catheterised.

MarieKL · 03/07/2013 21:36

Thinking sorry but other than a continuing show, nothing exciting happening here so off to the midwife for another sweep tomorrow. Persuasion how was your sweep? I hope it's proving to be effective. Esmo good luck for yours tomorrow.

Runs and Icing I hope all the on/off signs mean you'll have a quick labour when it does get going. I got quite excited about some pains this am and then realised I just needed the toilet!

BB01 good luck with the rooming in. It sounds like you're off to a good start. Beginning lovely to hear that Theo is doing well and gaining weight.

Totally I love your advice about how to bring on labour. Am now going to use it as an excuse to do absolutely nothing housework related tomorrow Smile. Dinky by my reckoning based on Totally's approach you're due to have a very quick labour on you due date!

All this talk of baking is making me want to bake too, though I know I'd then up eating it all as well. Not sure even my DH or DS would get a look in on fresh muffinsWink

Phie grrrr at annoying dog.

Looking forward to hearing what the wide awake club bakes tonight!

40+2

MarieKL · 03/07/2013 21:42

Fiddles, cross posted again. Vingear it's great to hear you're doing so well, though if your next post involves a 10 mile bike ride I'm seriously going to start wondering if you're super girl in disguise Wink

Abzs I really hope you make it home tomorrow, and you manage to get some rest tonight. Let us know how you get on.

dinkystinky · 03/07/2013 21:42

Abzs - so sorry you're having a rough time of it on the postnatal ward. I had a nightmare after DS1 was born (they were literally dismantling the postnatal ward around me and moving women bed by bed to an even smaller area on a different floor) but if it helps, it was hell at the time but now its a very distant memory! I hope you manage to get home soon.

Marie - lol at the bladder pains exciting you! A very quick labour the evening of my due date would be good - during the day not so good. DH has just got home from work and v stressed as he has a tonne of meetings tomorrow on his deal so will be crossing my legs until his deal is closed.

vinegar DS has a tongue tie but his was quite severe...he didn't really take to boob & would fall asleep after an hour of not having v much as was tired trying.....then would wage up well angry & hungry.

Where are you in the country? I think there are 3 regions where there is a "rapid " service for snipping the tie...but as far as I am aware they only really donut on NHS if it is a "bfing issue". Other than that you can go private for between £180-£300 depending on where you go. Some people prefer to get it snipped as can be the cause if speech impediments later in life. We got DS's snipped as feeding was such an issue with him....with the way he always sticks his tongue out constantly that he would never have been able to do it otherwise Smile

Did mw suggest snipping it? Normally it had to be a specialist bfing mw that does the referral...

PhieEl06 · 03/07/2013 22:16

Furiously bouncing on my sisters gym ball as I'm stopping here tonight, & it's done nothing more than bring on BH, not ones that even indicate something starting just standard ones. Sad It's funny we're so desperate to get babies out when, well for me anyway, I'm not even due for another 2 weeks & 3 days!! Pram is being delivered tomorrow so very excited for that!

Marie the dog finally shut up about 1ish. I love dogs but this one was taking the p*.

Sorry for no personals, I hope everyone else is okay!

IcingTheCake · 04/07/2013 03:27

Ahh im back to join the middle of the night club Sad

Anybody else?

I can not get comfy. Im sleeping exactly how I sleep every other night, but the couple of hours ive managed to get so far were spent tossing and turning! Tried waking OH up for some company (he has tomorrow off) but he was having none of it, dozed off while i was explaining why I wanted company Hmm

TotallyEggFlipped · 04/07/2013 03:33

Maybe you should get up and bake, Icing?

PhieEl06 · 04/07/2013 05:33

Didn't get to sleep till 1, woke at 3 because I needed a wee & was too hot, took ages to get back to sleep, woke again at 5 & couldn't sleep so have decided to get up. The news is so fun at 5.30!! Hmm

PhieEl06 · 04/07/2013 05:39

Even my sisters dog is mocking me, he goes wherever I go & sleeps, on the bed with me, downstairs on the sofa next to me, in the kitchen in his basket whilst I'm making a snack. Envy

Runswithsquirrels · 04/07/2013 06:10

I found it really hard to get off to sleep as well. I woke fairly early (5) and would've gone back to sleep but I was soooooo hungry. So I made muffins and ate breakfast and am now going to try and finish the last few thousand words of the novel I started writing in November.

TotallyEggFlipped · 04/07/2013 06:21

Runs I felt bad enough when the wide-a-bake club were rustling up muffins at the crack of dawn while I just lay in bed MNing, but now you're writing a novel too???

MrsRoss26 · 04/07/2013 06:21

Morning all insomniacs Wink a few hours good sleep here, but disturbed by smell of my breadmaker and some possible BH. What are this morning's baked goodies? Grin

Runswithsquirrels · 04/07/2013 06:31

Mrs Strawberry and banana muffins.

Totally it's not a new thing, novel writing, I've just had so little energy whilst pregnant and working that this one has been hanging over me a while. I've left it at 48k words whilst I go back to bed now and attempt to catch a few more zees!

dinkystinky · 04/07/2013 06:39

So what's this mornings muffin selection Runs? Good luck with the novel.

No nocturnal insomnia from me here but ds2 was up in the middle of the night for no discernible reason - I think he just wanted to check I was here :-) Took me a while to get back to sleep after resettling him. Sports day (and due date) today.

OP posts:
VinegarDrinker · 04/07/2013 07:02

Happy due date dinky - and have fun at sports day wonder if you can egg-and-spoon race that baby out?

Thanks for TT info granny - MW said basically if it doesn't cause feeding problems it's up to us if we want to get it snipped. Someone is coming to weigh her again today so hopefully that will help decide either way. She has fed well over night.

Hungry for muffins now!

DS is going into nursery today because they've got a trip to the Little Angel Theatre to see Bear Hunt which I am sure he'll love, plus DH has to pop in to work for a couple of hours this afternoon, so looking mostly like a quiet day of cuddles on the sofa for me and B Grin

MrsRoss26 · 04/07/2013 07:42

vinegar here's hoping your afternoon of cuddles is peaceful - it sounds lovely, especially if your Dh is home (albeit working). Fingers crossed for weigh-in too, I hope the great feeds are doing their job.

runs your muffins sound yummy...and I have all the right ingredients. I sense some baking in my busy morning Grin

dinky do you have good weather forecast for sports day? Maybe some hurdles should be employed to bring on baby? Grin

SlouchingPanda · 04/07/2013 07:44

Sports day? Shock Just turning over in bed feels like an Olympic endurance event. Good luck and happy due date, Dinky.

Lots of bad sleep karma last night as I also couldn't get to sleep til 1 and woke up at 5. DH think it's because I've had too much sleep. Is that even possible ? No baking though - didn't feel up to being vertical Sad.

Enjoy your baby day, Vinegar. Sounds stupid but I still can't believe I'm going to get one at the end of all this!

39+0. Yikes - how did this happen?

Persuasion · 04/07/2013 07:53

Sounds like a lovely day you have planned vinegar

Sounds like lots of you had a bad night last night. I actually had a good night for once, but I think it's because I slept so little the night before so I was tired out.

All this baking has motivated me. DH doesn't like muffins Shock but apparently you can also freeze cupcakes? I have to write an abstract for a paper I've written today, because DH has been nagging me and I've been putting it off, but if I have some time after that I think cupcakes will be in order.

dinky enjoy sports day, hopefully the excitement will get things going Confused

marie nothing noticeable from the sweep. My pelvis is slightly sore and i had some period pains afterwards but I doubt that means anything, certainly no contractions or show etc. How are you getting on today?

40+1 (arghhhhhhh)
