Shelley Florence is a lovely name! Sympathy on the cracked nipples. Lansinoh is the way forward, and a lactation consultant if you have access one?

Congratulations totally!! Hope your night in hospital is going well.

Evelyn I alo did the injections post dc1 and I'm needle phobic. They're really not that bad. I found injecting slowly into top of thigh (rather than stabbing the needle in as mw had demonstrated) to be the most comfortable approach. Also, Ice the area first and ou don't really feel it.

bigbelly4 · 02/07/2013 03:40

Shelly - I am so with you on the nipple front! O had completely forgotten how bloody painful the first few days are! Buying shares in nipple cream as we speak!

Also LOVE the name Florence, it was the only other girls name we both agreed on, and was on our short list.

TotallyEggFlipped · 02/07/2013 04:27

evelyn - depressing the plunger slowly, rather than injecting quickly is meant to be less painful.

shelley - Florence is a beautiful name.

Back in the 4am club, but thus time it's trying to BF, so really a much better version of the club. Hope the rest of you are joining us soon.

Bethan was born at 3.38am this morning after being told to go home at 1.20 at 2cm (I refused to leave!). Fast and furious labour with gas & air and TENS on the MLU, filled the pool but she came as I was about to get in!

2nd deg tear, stitched. She's been feeding like a pro for an hour or so already! She weighs 7lb 13oz..

dinkystinky · 02/07/2013 06:17

Congrats on Bethans arrival Vinegar - must have been all that hill cycling getting her down into position. She's a lovely size!

Shelley - Florence is a beautiful name. Sorry to hear about the cracked nipples - can't be helping with general tearfulness and flood of hormones - hope they get better v v soon and the tongue this (if that's what is causing it) is diagnosed and dealt with quickly.

Evelyn - good luck with that wall painting today.

Totally - early morning starts are much nicer when you have a baby to cuddle aren't they?

SlouchingPanda · 02/07/2013 06:28

Congratulations Vinegar!

Totally - I can't wait to be part of the 4am club with a baby (although may not be as prolific with the baking then)...

Slept through til 0615 today - if I were a toddler I'd probably have earned some sort of sticker or star for that Wink.

38+5 (and still not even a niggle)

shelley72 · 02/07/2013 06:29

Congratulations vinegar, these girls do seem to be in a hurry don't they?! Such a pretty name too. Still don't know how you've managed to do so much up to the birth..

Wonder who's next?

dinkystinky · 02/07/2013 06:31

The girl are rapidly starting to catch up with the boys!

Congratulations Vinegar. Hope you & Bethan are enjoying getting to know each other. Trying not to be too Envy of all the babies as it would be better if DS2 stayed inside until DS2's chicken pox subsides...

Cheeseandbread · 02/07/2013 06:39

More babies! Congratulations Shelly Totally and Vinegar and what beautiful names you've chosen. Sorry about the cracked nipples Totally I have 2 tubes of nipple cream at the ready...

I had a day of nesting yesterday- washing, scrubbing, hoovering, sweeping and mopping. It felt good. Them went to meet some friends in London for an early supper ( I got given a 'baby on board' badge by a kindly tube official who saw me waddling along and thought I might need it :-)

Good luck to whoever is next!

37+3

TotallyEggFlipped · 02/07/2013 07:04

Congratulations, Vinegar. Beautiful name! Glad they let you stay!

Glad you got a good nights sleep, Slouching! Pity there Wong be any freshly baked goodies for breakfast though. Maybe you could whip up some pancakes or welsh cakes or something Wink.

Cheese - I hope nobody needs to see your badge to figure out you're about to pop!

Persuasion · 02/07/2013 07:11

Congratulations vinegar! Technically on your due date too? Bethan is another lovely name,
I think I've loved every name on the thread so far, I'm going to have to stop telling people I like the name, especially as hopefully the babies will be coming thick and fast now!

Runswithsquirrels · 02/07/2013 07:19

Congratulations Vinegar.
Now, not many babies actually come on their due dates and since Bethan has, I imagine she's taken those odds and mine will sit tight a while longer!

bigbelly4 · 02/07/2013 07:25

Congratulations vinegar! These girlies seem to be in a rush to see their mummy's! Not sure any of us with girls have had long labours!

Welcome to the girl gang! Lovely name too!

TotallyEggFlipped · 02/07/2013 07:29

I can't get that 'here come the girls' song out of my head when I read this thread now!

MightBeMad · 02/07/2013 07:32

Congratulations vinegar!!!

TomDaleysTrunks · 02/07/2013 07:56

Congratulations vinegar. Beautiful name, glad she is feeding well.

TomDaleysTrunks · 02/07/2013 07:57

Giggling at "here come the girls". Grin
Got a poorly sleeping toddler sleeping next to me, it's going to be a long day.

dinkystinky · 02/07/2013 08:00

Oh no Tom - hope your little one gets better soon. Illness while the weather is warm is super grim.

Congulatulations Vinegar. Bethan is a lovely name. Not common as well.

All these babies make me want to meet mine soon. Still have a few weeks before due date.

I don't know whether it is MS coming back but I have vomed twice this week including yesterday. Don't know what's going on as I have never has it this late in pregnancy.

Also Bhs seem to have gone down. I'm back on the RLT so hope that will help progress things as I was getting strong bh on it.

IcingTheCake · 02/07/2013 08:48

Oh wow congratulations vinegar! What a lovely name too Smile

MrsRoss26 · 02/07/2013 08:51

Congratulations vinegar! What a great weight, and lovely name too. We should all have been following you in your cycling ways!

shelley I love Florence too, such a pretty name. A lovely choice Smile I hope the cracked nipples heal quickly.

tom fingers crossed the poorly toddler stays sleepy!

cheekbyjowl · 02/07/2013 09:08

Great news vinegar. well done for staying put. also love the names bethan and florence

Shelley hope youre feeling less down despite the BiscuitBiscuit (I still think this emoticon serves a multi purpose) and enjoying time with your family

silver sorry youre getting sick. hope youre clear of it soon.

I haven't experienced a braxton hix yet, still have a high bump and I think the head is near my belly button. I might be here a while longer. alas.

notprincesskate · 02/07/2013 09:09

Congratulations vinegar I also love the name and was on my short list but vetoed by DH.
Can't remember who asked but another one here on the injections and being super cowardly about giving them this time, I have to count in my head, look the other way and then go for it, stupid thing is it doesn't really hurt unless I hesitate and then it stings a lot, managed fine last time so it's all a bit odd. Holding up hand for serious sore nips too, have shares in lanoslin, hoping to try start bf again today- have been expressing to rest them due to the pain, but super nervous as they did honestly feel like they were on fire even touching them with a breast pad was agony, I'm so hoping things will have improved a bit today.
On phone so can't remember the personals, hope those still waiting aren't getting too inpatient.

shelley72 · 02/07/2013 09:09

Well aren't nans just great! Phoned mine this morning to tell her we've (almost) decided on a name. She said 'oh that's unusual' probably forgetting that she had an aunt Florence what made you come up with that? Then proceeded to tell me how much the baby looks like her brother when he was born, and how terrible I look now compared to then. Well I'm nearly six years older, have had two children and many sleepless nights since then. Thanks Nan Grin. grandad much more supportive, 'very good' he said as he does.

I'm going to attempt the stairs in a bit once dh back from school run, have been doing everything sleeping washing etc downstairs. Though I probably won't look in dcs rooms for fear of wanting to tidy! Really want to sleep in my own bed tonight.

Silver isn't being sick a pre labour sign? Could be it's nearly time?
