Teddybear4 · 24/06/2013 13:43

Hi

Is there an antenatal thread for March 2013?

If not, can I start one? I've just found out Im expecting our third (and final!!) baby, due 4 March.

Fingers crossed tightly for a smooth ride (I had early bleeds with both my previous pregnancies).

Anyone else out there yet?

Morning. Loving the alcohol free suggestions. I had the smallest glass of bubbles yesterday and felt tipsy after less than half! I also feel hungover now. its obviously my body saying 'Oh no you don't'.

DH and I are seeing my parents today for the first time since sharing the news. I am strangely nervous!

What a loveky day - might have to send hubby to find some alcohol free kopperberg later.

Grin

How long after seeing the GP did everyone get a letter re next steps?

IceNoSlice · 13/07/2013 08:11

Becks Blue is quite nice too. But Cobra's alcohol free version was grim.

JK10 · 13/07/2013 08:11

During last pg I drank sainsburys alcohol free rose wine and it was actually really tasty but quite sweet, when I'm there next ill try find the name for you!

Congrats to all of u who have already had their scans, really happy for u.

I called my gp to get an app to tell them I was pg they then take details and refer you to hosp for booking in and then refer us to kings (another hosp) for the scan! So it's quite a long process. The gp could offer me an app for aug 12th!!? That's crazy right? The following week I should be getting the scan!! Can't see it all working within a week, also we go on hol on 22nd so don't have much time to get it done before hol! Anyone else gotta wait that long to just have pg confirmed?

Have a busy day today, dd1 dance this morn, and ds1 beavers sports day for the whole of pm, there is no shade and my dd2 23 mths wont keep a hat on. Dreading it! Then out tonight for my birthday. Im so worried about telling one of my friends as she has been ttc for yrs and had some really bad mmc, one when she was 23 weeks after being advised to go for an amnio. She had the results that everything was fine that morn and baby was healthy, she was soooo happy and later the same day she lost him. She hasn't been the same person since (it was a yr ago) another friend from our group has just given birth and she can't really go near him, and avoided seeing her throughout her pregnancy. When would you tell her? Is it best to hide it for as long as possible? Any advice please?

Someone mentioned swimming a while back, that is fine but I think they say to avoid breast stroke for some reason but others okay!!!

Have a lovely Saturday!!!

JK10 · 13/07/2013 08:20

5amisnotmorning- blackheath is not far at all! It's nice to know where ppl are from! And how the nhs do things slightly different. With one of my pg forums A lady lived so far out in Scotland it took her an hr to get to tesco and hosp! And she talked about all the animals on her farm she looked after!! Love hearing about different lifestyles during pg!

Rockchick1984 · 13/07/2013 08:21

JK I'd call the community midwives and see if you can self-refer. That's what I did, as my dr's is a bit useless unless you need an emergency appointment!

Think breast stroke arms are fine, however the leg movement should be avoided as it can make SPD worse.

Lambchop14 · 13/07/2013 08:45

Morning ladies! I'm feeling sick this morning, have no energy and its too hot!! If I can't cope in this heat I don't know how I'll manage when I go to Dubai!

Lambchop14 · 13/07/2013 08:48

P.s hope everyone else is well and enjoying their Saturday morning so far :)

LittleMachine · 13/07/2013 09:05

Ah juicy, congratulations! I have something in my eye I think...
So pleased for you.

CaptainCalamari · 13/07/2013 09:11

Morning everyone! Hope everyone gets to have a bit of a rest now its the weekend? Dh is taking DS out for the day, think I might just go back to bed when they go!
toaster are they stabbing sort of pains? I've been getting this a lot when I stand/ turn/ lift DS (basically things I use stomach muscles for) and I think its just the ligaments stretching. Last pregnancy I had loads of really strong period pain type cramps but not so much this time round.
I was a bit bummed yesterday as used my second CB digi with conception indictator - should have been 3+ but still said 2-3 Sad. Googled it though and found they're not as precise as all that, so fingers crossed everything still ok! Did another internet cheapie this morning and line definitely coming up quicker and quicker (when I run out I'll stop testing, promise!)
Hope those of you feeling sick feel better soon!

Souredstones · 13/07/2013 09:14

Scan date came in this mornings post. 29th August. A few of us having scans at similar times!!

MummyPig24 · 13/07/2013 09:29

It's flipping hot isn't it? I went out to put the guinea pigs in the run and its boiling! I am taking dd off to a birthday party this morning in soft play, it should be quiet. Dh has taken ds to his mums and then to get him some new trainers. Children's feet have both gone up a size.

I'm so bloody tired. Ds up several times in the night with nosebleeds then the people next door were obviously going on holiday and shrieking and crashing about outside at 5.30am! Hopefully we can just chill out this afternoon.

I can't wait to have my scan and make sure everything is ok. I don't really have any symptoms apart from tiredness. Boobs feeling much better, nipples still sore. Little bit of nausea in the evenings. I reckon the sickness will hit in a few weeks though.

Beccadugs · 13/07/2013 09:52

This is normal right: I'm sitting in bed at 10am on Saturday Morning eating salt and vinegar Pringles... They only thing I can stomach...

Envious of those who have their scan dates. Earliest i could get booking in appt was 9th aug and think I arrange it all from three. I will be 10 + 4 then so worried I will have a late scan...

Wuxiapian · 13/07/2013 10:40

I had Dr appointment Thursday. She just asked a few questions, put a few things into computer then told me to book MW booking-in appointment. That's booked for 1st aug - I'll be - almost 10 weeks, so, like you, becca, it'll be cutting it quite fine.

TotalShock · 13/07/2013 11:40

Almost daren't ask, but can I join

Had a mmc and erpc in feb. paranoid it will happen again and try not to think otherwise I stress out

I'm 34 and will be our 1st hopefully

x

Such fabulous news Juicy. Are you still on cloud nine?

Stretchy pains continue today. I had forgotten how much like period pains they feel. Its so disconcerting.

CaptainCalamari · 13/07/2013 13:01

Welcome and congratulations to juicy total and merkin! Flowers

Coletterbox · 13/07/2013 13:16

Hi everyone! I haven't been on for ages so thought I'd show my face Smile. Feeling constantly shattered and nauseous at the mo. having to almost eat constantly to keep it at bay... Dread to think what my weight gain will be!? Hoping it will pass soon. Has anyone else tried vitamin B6 for ms? DH has been amazing and done pretty much everything this week.. I've been so pathetic! Meant to be travelling to London for work on Tues and really dreading it. Not sure how I will manage the early morning, the 2 hour train journey or the packed tube without being sick or passing out or both! No scan date yet ... Doc said he would refer me to midwife and that was 2 weeks ago now...do you think I should have heard something by now?

Thatssofunny · 13/07/2013 14:08

Went to the EPU for my second blood test this morning. I'll have to ring up about the results tonight. If levels have risen as they should have, they'll book me in for an early scan tomorrow. Not sure how much there will be to see at only 5 weeks.
Had mostly spotting yesterday, but also quite a bright red bleed, which sent me into a complete panic. (Not helpful. The nurse at a&e had said only to worry, if it starts gushing or if I get cramps. Neither is the case and I'm not bleeding to an extent that a panty liner couldn't handle it. Still worries me sick every time I go to the loo, though.) Only had brown spotting so far today and hope that it'll stay that way...

stephie101 · 13/07/2013 14:46

ROSYRYAN: I have these pains too..not nice and worried me a bit, only have them when sitting down.
feeling shit today guys...to hot...time isnt moving quick enough..dont book in with mw until 6th aug... :(

JuicyFatSteak · 13/07/2013 15:59

Captain & Rosy, thank you for the welcome.

Does anyone whether it's okay to orgasm? I was told not to by the IVF clinic during the 2ww but what about now? So sick of tit-wanks Smile

JuicyFatSteak · 13/07/2013 16:09
