Hi everyone, hope you had good wkends, I'm looking forward to my holiday next Saturday (although won't be the usual sunbathing with wine flowing!), still can't wait just to relax especially as I'm feeling a bit rough and sick today! Work are piling on the pressure ahead of my hols but who cares, in one week I will be off for two weeks woop!

Just wondered when the really preggers people started to get lightning crotch/cervix pangs? So I can be prepared and not go into cervix panic!

Alex I read that article in Stylist yesterday. I got a bit bothered my my doctor saying this week that I don't look pregnant. I weighed myself in the surgery and I haven't put on any weight at all since my booking in appt, despite definitely being larger round the waist. Embarrassingly I think that it's the result of not drinking making weight come off me! But I am also worrying now that baby isn't getting enough. I also worried that I hadn't felt baby move for a bit so had to lie on my stomach on the floor for half an hour until I got some nudges Blush. I think it has wedged itself behind my stomach muscles which is why I can't feel it much at the moment.

Alexandra6 · 11/07/2013 13:44

I'm trying to stop myself worrying if I don't feel the baby move for a while. So amazing that I can now feel it on the outside!! I felt it lots on Tues for the first time from the outside, DH felt it last night. Was brilliant. I've just eaten a big lunch, feel stuffed and baby just gave me a prod as if to say "stop stuffing your face, I need some room down here".

Ooh that is exciting Alex, DP is really impatient that he can't feel it yet. I am very much looking forward to the movements getting more definite so that I'm not always wondering what I felt...

MotherOfCleo · 11/07/2013 14:23

Thanks for the pooch feedback ladies, Cleo's a real mummy's girl so I'm hoping she'll be ok as long as she still gets loving too.

Quod I wouldn't worry too much, mines a right lazy monster, I don't feel him move a huge amount at all. Mainly after I've eaten, or if i lean forward and squish him he gives me a jab, apart from that he seems quite chilled...I'm sure that will change as he gets bigger. Still not had anything big enough for OH to feel and I'm 23+1 now, so I guess we are all quite different. Also baby will take what it needs from you, I have to be sure to eat a lot of calcium rich foods as I don't drink milk at all nasty yucky stuff and the MW said that baby will just take calcium straight from my bones if he needs it, so I'll suffer rather than him. Charming huh Grin

JuicyFatSteak · 11/07/2013 18:38

Aw, fanks, lovely ladies Thanks

I am now not merely seeing the beige stuff when I wipe but it has crept into my knickers too. I rang EPU and they assured me at six weeks this is entirely normal - implantation blah, blah, yadda, yadda - and that unless it is bright red clots and cramping, well...you know the script. About an hour ago I had a terrific cramp - really nasty and lasted only 30 seconds - so I ran to the loo expecting red blood but no, not even the brown stuff. The nausea today has been brutal - the worst yet. I couldn't face food util 4pm and tried a bowl of Alpen with almonds chucked on top. The lot came back fifteen minutes later.

I'm going to my scan tomorrow alone; despite robust protestations DH can't get the time off and I'm happy with that. If it is the worst news (and I really am expecting it) I want to be alone. It's all in God's hands and if I've miscarried I still say it's been an absolute joy being preggo and I'm awfully grateful for it Smile

Alexandra6 · 11/07/2013 19:11

juicy I'm going to keep everything crossed for you (have to say it sounds like you have an amazing attitude about things). I won't bang on about the fact that that beige/pink is common/implantation bleeding etc but I honestly have heard it so often so really hope it's that. Is it private or NHS EPU tomorrow for the scan? I just read back to try and find out more about you stalker style as you joined when I was on hols and I've seen you used to be Viv - I think I remember janey mentioning you (she's a friend of mine who told me about this thread) Anyway lots and lots of luck!

HazleNutt · 12/07/2013 08:23

MotherOfCleo · 12/07/2013 08:34

I have no bloody reason to be awake, Im off work today as we fly to tunisia for a week later today, but three wees later and Im wide awake....grrr, get off my bladder child Wink

What time is your scan juicy? I really hope you have 2 little cooking beans!!!

Alexandra6 · 12/07/2013 09:05

It's funny, I'm not needing to pee that much - be careful what you wish for, I know, but it's making me think I'm not drinking enough. Am going to try and drink gallons today!

DH put his mouth against the bump last night to talk to the baby and it kicked him in the face Grin I insisted the baby was trying to kiss him instead Wink

Hope you're ok juicy, and keeping everything crossed for good news for you today.

Thanks, everyone. Scan at 11.45 and I'm 6+1. Red blood when I wiped before. Not just spotting, either. Feel like I'm being marched, naked, to the firing squad Sad

Alexandra6 · 12/07/2013 11:08

Big hugs juicy Flowers again I've heard of red blood and all being ok but I know it must be hard to stay positive, still hoping for good news for you.

Thinking of you juicy

JuicyFatSteak · 12/07/2013 13:43

There is a babby!! A little peanut babby! I've got a photo and everything - its little heart was going like the clappers Smile The nurse said the womb looks 'fantastic; a really clean, strong shape' and baby is nestled in very snug and high up in the uterus. She said there is absolutely no bleeding around the sac and all is very clean, which leads her to believe it was never twins and that the whopping great beta levels were just, well...high Smile

Thank you for your lovely wishes. I am so very grateful to you all Thanks xx

P.s..another scan in two weeks....for free!

janey1234 · 12/07/2013 13:51

Oh juicy thank goodness, I've been worried sick. Am so, so happy for you and yes, perhaps a little hormonal still as just cried again

Odds are totally in your favour now SmileSmile

Alexandra6 · 12/07/2013 13:51

Yay! Ah that's brilliant news, made me feel emotional, I blame the hormones Grin
