Hi everyone, hope you had good wkends, I'm looking forward to my holiday next Saturday (although won't be the usual sunbathing with wine flowing!), still can't wait just to relax especially as I'm feeling a bit rough and sick today! Work are piling on the pressure ahead of my hols but who cares, in one week I will be off for two weeks woop!

Just wondered when the really preggers people started to get lightning crotch/cervix pangs? So I can be prepared and not go into cervix panic!

Thinking of you today Janey. Can't wait to hear all about your little bundle xxx

Today's inconvenient labour attempt is brought to you by my idiot DH, who has gone an hour away to work in my car with my labour bag still in the boot, despite several reminders last night that he needed to take it out. No TENS for me if labour starts. Confused

janey1234 · 28/06/2013 08:29

So the big day has arrived!
Just met the anaesthetist and consultant doing the c section (one I've met before who I loved) and hopefully will be taken down at about 10am. Still not nervous, just excited!!

Good luck to you other berries - really hoping things start happening for all you lot as well Smile

Cavort · 28/06/2013 08:32

I am sooo Envy Envy Envy Janey but so pleased for you. Yes, bring it on for all of us! Smile

Purplemonster · 28/06/2013 08:42

Good luck Janey! I'm so excited for you x

HazleNutt · 28/06/2013 08:47

Good luck and can you take the phone to the theatre and give us live updates?

janey1234 · 28/06/2013 08:54

Ha the worst thing is that I would if I could hazle! DP despairs of me and my mumsnet addiction Blush

Will update when I can but am really hoping I start a barrage of arrivals, just as you started a run of BFP's hazle!

janey1234 · 28/06/2013 08:56

Oh and in my absence you might like to ask brave about her loved up placenta Wink

Sorry brave - couldn't help myself!!

Quodlibet · 28/06/2013 09:01

Good luck Janey!
So exciting - today's the first Berry baby. What shall we all do to celebrate?

janey1234 · 28/06/2013 09:03

Oooh we could all get smashed!

Oh.BlushSad

Cavort · 28/06/2013 09:07

Ha I also saw Brave's 'loved up' thread. Grin

Janey my BIL took his mobile in to my Sis's CS. He did a sneaky video at the end when they took baby over to be cleaned up and weighed and the medical staff all had their backs turned. The video ends when one of them turns round and angrily shouts, "Turn that off!!"

Quod I think we should all get pissed to celebrate in our dreams. Wine

janey1234 · 28/06/2013 09:08

Great minds cavort Hmm

Cavort · 28/06/2013 09:09

Can't you just tell I have been really fancying a Wine Grin

MotherOfCleo · 28/06/2013 09:21

Ohhh so excited for you Janey! Can't wait to hear you're a mum Grin

My day started as badly as the last one finished, I was doing the washing up with my OH didn't do last night, including the grill pan, only went and spilt all the fatty water down my work outfit so had to go and change, only problem is I had no other clean maternity trousers so I'm in non maternity trousers which are unbelievably uncomfortable, especially when sitting down. Not great when I work at a desk 8 hours a day! Sad

Oh and he has also tidied the office which means my camera is not where I left and he has no idea where he put it. May have no camera for Robbie Williams....grrr. Cavort I am beyond jealous that you met him!!! Although to be honest I would have nothing sensible to say to him and would no doubt end up looking very silly if I met him face to face. I have a slight Robbie addiction, I saw him at knebworth, at a hyde park concert, at the Hero's Concert, at the Take That reunion and shall be seeing him tomorrow. I also have a thing for Take That who I've seen 3 or 4 times.

I need to snap out of this mood, I just feel sad and stressed all the time. Sad I think I kind of hoped he would support me more but all he does is say I shouldn't worry about things and tell me I'm hormonal and annoying. 99% of the time I'm not he just uses it as an excuse. Last night he told me 'I' was annoying 'him' with my mood, he caused the bloody mood! Plus last time I asked my mum for help she told me I was hormonal and stupid. Not got many options left really. Sorry just having a pit party for one over here.

Lot's of berry babies would cheer me up. Grin So get cracking girls

Cavort · 28/06/2013 09:31

Aww Mother I am sorry your OH is still being an arse. It may well be the case that you are hormonal and extra-sensitive, but that is your prerogative when pg and as you have surrendered your body over to growing him a baby I think he needs to acknowledge this and start being a bit more considerate.

Camera or no camera, the Robbie gig should cheer you up. Smile I stood next to him at a Sunday League football match and just talked bollocks made small talk. It was just before he left TT the first time so was absolutely ages ago and he was probably pissed/off his face.

MotherOfCleo · 28/06/2013 09:51

Cheers Cavort, yeah I think I'm just expecting more of him.....stupidly. Should know better really. Just wish he would help round the house rather than spending the evenings playing on his iPad or kindle.

Ohhh, I rather liked him at that age, if I could meet him how he was in the 'everything changes' video that would be awesome, although actually I would be way too old for him...doh.

BraveLilBear · 28/06/2013 10:00

Dashing in with red cheeks from my loved up blunder to say good luck Janey! Was thinking of you this morning when I was getting up

I'm also going down at 10... to a team meeting. Yawn. One week to go though!

Sorry to hear about DP being an arse Mother - I struggled with mine for a long while this pregnancy, but the bigger I got, the easier things got. They just don't realise how difficult it is, until they can see it.

MotherOfCleo · 28/06/2013 10:11

Cheers Bear, on the plus side we ordered the nursery furniture last night. Less than half price from Argos.

HazleNutt · 28/06/2013 10:13

So went to hospital as instructed for check up and they probably want to keep me here for monitoring overnight. Nothing serious but baby's heart rate went a bit low at some point. Boo. That's no fun. I could tolerate the hospital if I was in labour but to just hang here is no fun at all. Only 2 cm dilated so not like there is anything happening soon either.

janey1234 · 28/06/2013 10:20

Hope all ok hazle. 2cm is ok though? Let us know how you get on?

I'm still waiting - yawn

HazleNutt · 28/06/2013 10:24

Was 1 cm a month ago so at this rate, I will have this baby in 2 years or so

Cavort · 28/06/2013 10:41

Boo for hospital admission Hazle, but I am sure you are thinking the same as I was that it's better to get it checked out.

2cm dilated sounds like things are heading in the right direction. Have you any idea when they will consider inducing you if you draw a blank on spontaneous labour?

BraveLilBear · 28/06/2013 11:39

So it's nearly 11.40 and we now have two elderberries in hospital... fingers crossed all is ok Hazle and boredom doesn't send you doolally in the process (I sense this must be hell for you...)

Berry Baby love to all!

HazleNutt · 28/06/2013 12:13

Nothing happening here, they will monitor a few more times in the afternoon and want to keep me here for the night. But if everything is fine I will insist on going home, can always come back early morning. No reason to stay if they aren't doing anything.
Yes, already going nuts of boredom, especially as I only came for check and didn't even take my kindle. Midwives are all very nice and friendly at least.

Cavort · 28/06/2013 12:31

I am guessing the silence from Mum means baby Janey has probably arrived. Smile

Sad Hazle. I really hope they let you out for the night, it will be so nice to sleep in your own bed.

At the risk of sounding sad, did anyone else see Frankie from The Saturdays on This Morning? 4 months pregnant my arse, she must be having quads if she is only 4 months gone! And she has put a Kardashian amount of weight on what a bitch I am. Her footballer boyfriend will have to have all his door frames widened if she really has got until November before giving birth.

Purplemonster · 28/06/2013 12:37

Sounds rubbish Hazle, hope they don't keep you there too long.

I'm afraid I made a bit of a tit of myself at my consultant appt this morning, after only getting an hours sleep due to being in constant screaming agony with my back and then waiting well over 45 minutes past my appointment time because they had lost my notes/forgotten me, the consultant asked how I was coping and I'm afraid I'm promptly burst I to tears Blush

The upshot is they're getting this baby out of me ASAP, induction booked for Sunday 10.00am which was the first slot they had free.

Hope everyone else is doing ok, especially Hazle and Janey.
