Jelly another early riser here - I worked late last night looking after something for a colleague and then woke at about 2.30 with brain whirring and achy shoulders. I lay awake for about an hour and then must have fallen asleep until about 5:30. My obviously brain hasn't worked out that I'm on holiday for the next few weeks or that I need to sleep if I'm to be able to continue making any sort of meaningful contribution at work.

This has been going on a while now and I'm sure this is contributing to my general apathy to work (see above)!

MoN so pleased to hear that the news on your baby is more positive and sorry to hear you've got so much else on your plate.

Finally, my boobs still feel like they're growing - I was about a 34C before and now I am a 34F Hmm

Natalieand · 28/06/2013 06:42

Early start for me too..in the toilet again, I had such a weird dream last night it almost felt real that I have birth on 10th of October (edd 14th oct) to a boy (which I already no I'm having) and called him dexter and I got him dressed but forgot to put a nappy on him and my friend (due 21st oct) had her little girl the same day! Man such a let down this morning knowing I still have 15 weeks to go lol.

Anyone else suffering from cold sores ?

JethroTull · 28/06/2013 06:43

Another insomniac here too. Was just reading thread to see if it was a common symptom & here we all are. Jelly I've been having leg cramps too. My brother (who's a physiologist) said its all to do with uneven weight distribution & the baby taking all our essential salts. He got me some rehydration tablets & told me not to wear flip flops or completely flat shoes all day.

ananikifo · 28/06/2013 08:41

Gtbaby the towel is white, on wig those ones with a hood thing in the corner. It's nice for a free item but having read all these bounty horror stories on MN I kind of regret participating.

Tonight I am going out with friends and am quite excited! I only own one semi-appropriate maternity dress, and one pair of maternity tights, and of course this morning the tights have a run in them. I guess I need to quickly go shopping tonight before dinner!

ananikifo · 28/06/2013 08:42

*One of, not on wig.

I'm so glad the summer holidays have arrived here and I don't have to get up early and rush around getting the gang off to school and nursery. IIt's such a shame that every year without fail that the weather turns as soon as the holidays begin. I don't know what to do to keep them occupied. There's only so many times you can wander round the museums before they all get bored

I am determined to learn to drive before next summer as it would make the summer holidays so much easier as there's nothing much in Glasgow for the kids. Everything is on the outskirts.

PseudoBadger · 28/06/2013 09:35

I could really do with giving 'd'p a good kick in the balls this morning.
DS woke up 5 times in the night and I ended up resting my eyes on the floor in his room until 4.30. As far I I know (could hear the snoring) DP slept fine.
DS woke up at 5.30 and I asked DP to please get up with him. DP said he'd also barely slept. What a crock.
So I got up.

MrsO27 · 28/06/2013 09:41

I'll take your leg cramps and insomnia and raise you with piles! Our pregnancy symptom bingo cards have been getting a few stamps this week! Sorry for tmi, but this is new to me and the piles really hurt Sad Blaming myself as I've been religious in having high-fibre breakfasts until this week when my routine has been all off. Oh well, I guess it was just a matter of time before they arrived. Happy Friday everyone!

HotSoupDumpling · 28/06/2013 09:42

Pseudo Shock

I'm also in the bad sleep crew. Awake several times and finally at 5.30am today. Eugh.

MrsO27 · 28/06/2013 09:43

Cross post pseudo but giggled at 'crock', assume you mean without the 'r'? Grin

PseudoBadger · 28/06/2013 09:43

Well I meant crock of shit, but yours works too :o

PseudoBadger · 28/06/2013 09:46

Just realised I didn't answer BowlfulofJelly yesterday - I'm having extra scans as I had borderline preeclampsia last time. The doppler scan monitors the bloodflow to the placenta and they also check growth at the same time. I'm quite surprised to get all the extra scans but am glad we are being monitored.

FeministInTraining · 28/06/2013 09:48

Oh dear Pseudo I think pregnancy rage needs to set in! Hope you have a better night tonight.

I had a really bad tummy until I stopped taking my pregnancy vitamins! Felt quite bad but I did take them past 12 weeks. They were Boots ones, I have a packet of Pregnacare ones that I will try once the summer holidays have started and I have a few days where I'm not going out it's horrible.

Also the leg cramps- occasionally get them in my calf in the night although that hasn't happened in a couple of weeks. But I started getting them in my feet after standing up cooking for semi-long periods of time. They start just as I'm sitting down to eat and last a good 15 mins- they even swap feet! I can stretch the calf ones but the feet ones are in my arch and I have to pace around like a crazy woman until they wear off. Joys of pregnancy Grin

FeministInTraining · 28/06/2013 09:51

MrsO I hope it's not a matter of time, I don't want that one stamped on my bingo card!! Hope you have a comfy chair, do they go away before the baby is born?!

PseudoBadger · 28/06/2013 09:51

I get calf cramps if I overstretch in bed, without thinking about it.

roxvox · 28/06/2013 09:55

I am not having any problems sleeping, which is just as well as I am absolutely shattered 99% of the time! There was one night where I was wide awake from 4am until gone 5am, but that was due to a wee trip, followed by a very very active baby doing somersaults in my tummy!

I struggled to get to sleep last night because my legs were doing that jumpy thing they do (restless legs), but after 20 minutes or so I was fast asleep.

I appear to be having the opposite problem to most of you ladies and my constipation has come back, accompanied by piles Sad

I am so glad it's Friday. I have been pretty good with work for part of this week, but generally my interest levels have dropped right off. I am a web developer and have often wondered about going freelance, but I am not sure I would ever have the guts!

thethreeblondies · 28/06/2013 10:32

Sat in doctors, need something for my hayfever couldn't breath properly yesterday! Also have managed to do something to my arm/elbow overnight, it was aching all night and is quite painful! Falling to pieces!

PseudoBadger · 28/06/2013 10:40

Could be carpal tunnel thethreeblondies? The first time I had it last pregnancy it started with a pain all the way up through my shoulder and elbow.

claphammama · 28/06/2013 11:09

no sleep here last night either... very attractive dark circles under my eyes... it probably didn't help that we went to bed very late - DP finally managed to finish assembling the changing unit. In his male arrogance he thought it would take him half an hour so I was half annoyed and half satisfied as I watched him struggle with it way past midnight for what I reckon were combined 4 hours. he he
pseudo your DP deserves a major sulk tonight!

BowlFullofJelly · 28/06/2013 11:13

I've also had the rage this week about sleep. DS up and down all night wanting cuddles, then decides it's wake up time at 5.30. Cue me stomping around making lots of passive aggressive comments about Daddy needing his sleep more than Mummy, which are ignored as the sod IS asleep. Ending with me shouting and crying, with DS and DP looking pretty bemused. Ahh well.

I take it all is well then pseudo?

I still have piles from DS Mrs027, they never quite went away - (I can actually remember feeling them pop out my bum when pushing DS out Shock)! Not helped by irregular pooing at the moment - I've been doing 3 or 4 days without one, and then a day or two of, hmm, proper clear out Blush.

Oh the glamour Grin

Natalieand · 28/06/2013 11:14

I too am sleeping pretty well I always wake up once for a wee and on a bad night 2-5 times but generally its just once and I manage to get straight back off after luckily dd is all daddy-fied ATM and if she wakes in the night for a wee she goes to dh side of the bed and harasses him to take her so I pretend I haven't even heard lol

It's my birthday today :-) dh and dd brought me a pandora bracelet and two charms (one is a teddy with a pinkbow for the birth of dd so i have already made it known i will need a blue one when bump is born lol)
dh just took me out for brekkie while dd is at pre school lets hope my stomach settles (I just saw that pregnancy vitamins were giving some of u a bad stomach so I am gunna stop mine for a few days)

Hope everyone else is feeling good as good as pregnancy lets us feel

BowlFullofJelly · 28/06/2013 11:17

Happy birthday Natalie Flowers

legallyblond · 28/06/2013 11:19

Oh dear! It sounds like everyone is suffering lots! Now that my emergency cervical stitch is out of the way and the extreme morning sickness is a distant memory, I feel like I'm getting off lightly, despite it being twins!! At the mo, obviously apart from lots of squirms and kicks, the only symptoms are vulval varicose veins (ahhh... The glamour!!) and I hardly notice them/it or whatever really. Since 16 weeks, I've slept with a dream genii pillow and have slept fine! I am knackered if I walk far or do lots of lifting of DD. Tbh, I think I suffered more with DD's preg in terms of tiredness etc as I was coming from full steam... This time, having a toddler, I've hardly noticed as I am probably 100x busier at home than before I had DD and am constantly mildly knackered but genuinely don't notice (because it's DD and family and, well, it's brilliant!!)!

cazboldy · 28/06/2013 11:24

Glad to hear MoN and Falcon's good news. Smile

Am having a very lazy day today - not dressed yet! and kids are all at home, after showing our cattle at the Royal Norfolk show for the last week, and 3 mornings of 4 am risings and about 5 hrs sleep a night! - but it was worth it as we had some great results! Smile

I'm hoping for a small baby too whoever said that! lol

Mine so far have been 6lbs 8, 7lbs 2, 6 lbs 12, 7 lbs 9 and 6 lbs 13, so hoping for another of around that size Smile
