1st pregnancy, really really paranoid

I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago, after 6 home tests and 1 at the doctors I still didn't believe it. Even when ill with morning sickness having to be admitted to hospital due to dehydration and put on a drip I got an early scan (virginal one) cause I'm only 6weeks there was a heartbeat too but from the next day my symptoms have gone or hardly there it seems. I only had morning sickness a week, tiredness is still there but not as much my boobs only hurt a little anyway now they don't hurt at all. I'm paranoid that I've had a miscarriage and I'm constantly looking for answers does anyone else feel like this? I don't think I can go 6weeks until my date scan without cracking up. We've been trying for ages so this baby means everything.

I constantly felt like this! My lb was a very much wanted baby so I was very scared! It took a while to conceive & I just couldn't believe I was finally pregnant! My lb is now a very healthy 18 month old & I wish I enjoyed my pregnancy more rather than being so paranoid! I always thought if I weren't sick something was wrong rather than just being thankful I wasn't nauseous! You'll be fine! All the best ;-)

I feel exactly the same way ash. This conception came after almost two years of trying and I am terrified. I've got a 7 week scan in a fortnight and the time has never passed so slowly. I don't know how I'll cope if the scan doesn't show anything (that's if we even get as far as the scan..)

Unlike you I have very few symptoms, I feel very tired and have sensitive boobs but very little nausea, but as mumtolilh says I am trying to appreciate that fact rather than freak out about it.

Could you afford to pay for a private scan at about 9 weeks? That would give you something to look forward to in the nearer future.

Aw you will both be fine I remember the feeling well x

I'm having one of my really paranoid days and keep looking for miscarriage symptoms/signs online its driving me insane. I think I'd rather be puking with ms then this. :/ 5weeks before my scan is gonna be hell.

I was like that, felt pregnant at first but then I think I got used to the symptoms and they didn't seem so obvious so I convince myself that they weren't there anymore. I had had a miscarriage before my pregnancy and that was why I was so worried. I couldn't believe it would all be ok. it was though and I has another 3 after that as well. I think when there's no bump or anything its really hard. Once it becomes more obvious and you feel it move, that does give some comfort.

If there was a heartbeat at six weeks then that's a really good sign. I was told that before 8 weeks they don't always see a heartbeat so they wouldn't scan me before that. When I did have a miscarriage (before that pregnancy) I had no nausea, no swollen boobs or anything. I know its easy to say but try not to worry. Strong pregnancy symptoms early in pregnancy are a really good sign. They do gradually subside (or you get used to then) but that's normal!!

Thanks for everyones kind words, I guess I'm just having a hormonal day too. My partner is in the army and currently away on exercise so I've been feeling rather alone and thinking about symptoms etc to much. Tonight I really wanted fish and chips which is odd cause I can't stand greasy food right now and so behold once I tasted them it kicked in my morning sickness and spent the rest of the night ill.
