Sounds like Lara is doing really well, I'm really pleased.

Thingymajigs · 07/08/2013 10:36

Well done baby Lara and lol of course. Grin
I can't believe you're 18 weeks already red. How is your pregnancy going faster than mine?! Also can't wait for the 20 week scan. I'm hoping the time goes quickly which it hopefully will as we have a busy couple of months ahead.

BelissimaLol · 07/08/2013 10:37

Thanks girls I'm pleased tooGrin. Yes I'm breast feeding and even though its bloody knackering I'm really enjoying it!
No news from little yet?? Come on baby!

LittleMissSnowShine · 07/08/2013 12:27

Another sweep booked this afternoon at 3 - over the weekend had loads of cramping and stuff but tbh its all been really quiet - just SPD and heartburn happening over here!! So fx that'll change after this afternoon - meantime just baking buns with DS Grin

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 08/08/2013 08:55

little anything?

We are gearing up into wedding mode here. Weather looks like it might be ok for tomorrow. Fx for them. X

RedRobin1 · 08/08/2013 11:50

I am really worried about baby this week. Just as I was getting my appetite back, I have now fallen ill :( sore throat, ear ache, heavy head and nose and coughing like a lunatic. Everytime I cough it really hurts the ligaments - just hope baby is okay in there.

I went to a party where this cousin was ill and coughing without covering her mouth Angry and sat next to me the whole evening. Even though I tried to move she'll come and find a space next to me. As though she wanted to pass her germs onto me :(

sorry for the self pity and whinge but I just want to enjoy the pregnancy! Booo to being ill. I hate being ill even normally, but in pregnancy it just feels like the end of the world.

littlehow you doing today?

when hope you are having a lovely time at the wedding.

just wondered if anyone has seen or heard from alexandra Not seen her around for awhile. Hope you are doing okay love.

LittleMissSnowShine · 08/08/2013 11:56

Noo!! Sweep was err incredibly thorough, mw could feel baby's head and im more effaced than i was last week, she said she could even feel some contractions while she was doing it and i had awful back ache for hours after. But i put tens machine on for an hour and back pain eased up so i was able to get to sleep. Still a bit sore today and some v irregular contractions but no show or anything so not really sure if sweep worked or not. Can't believe it - so effective with DS but i've had 2 done now and still no baby. EDD is tomorrow so looks like im going over...Angry Angry Angry Wouldnt mind except for pelvic pain. But just going to have to be v flipping patient!!!

Oh good luck with wedding packing & preparations when - hope weather stays nice and you have a lovely weekend Smile

Alexandra6 · 08/08/2013 15:39

Hello!! I'm so sorry I've got behind on my 'BFP wishes' chat! I'm going to read back a bit now to catch up and hope everyone is doing well.

red I hope you get better quickly, so true that being ill in pregnancy is more worrying/stressful that it would be normally.

littlemiss wow you're having sweeps and so close! Hope things get moving soon for you!

Will try and catch up on other news! My good news is I had a cervix scan last week and it looked fine and closed and I'm now 24 weeks today so at the viable point woop. And do you remember at my 20 week scan, the baby's head size looked small to the sonographer so she wanted to get me back in? Well the consultant looked again and he thinks it's nothing to worry about and the circumference is actually coming up as average now Grin I got to see the baby in 4D for just a second while he was looking at the head, and saw it's little face, I nearly fell off the bed in shock! So no more cervix or head scans and fingers crossed all will go well.

kittykatsforever · 08/08/2013 19:27

Ahh wow Alex that's brilliant! Must feel like you can just breathe abit now, do you feel like now the scans etc are done that you will maybe relax more as they've basically given you the ok? I felt so much better when I got to 24wks as it feels like the point where they'd take it seriously and really fight to protect baby ( I'm sure they would anyway ) but in my mind that was the gestation to get to as my god daughter was born then and is now a cheeky 15yr old
Red, so sorryHmm you've not had the best pregnancy have you love, so unfair when someone can see your pregnant aswell and not say I'm going to keep away from you as it wouldn't be fair to pass it on, baby will be fine, I had a chest infection and had to take anti bs with dd1, it's just you that gets to feel crappy
Little, lets hope this sweep has made a slow start and baby realises its expected to make an appearance tomorrow!
I'm broken, 2kids under 2 when they've not napped well that day are basically a form of torture, plus on my own as dh on nights, thank The Lord it means I've been able to put them to bed early, please let them sleep

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 08/08/2013 22:09

red sorry you are ill. Being sick when pregnant sucks. Your immune system is buggered so colds seem to hit much worse, plus being pregnant is hard work anyway so a cold just makes everything worse.

little sounds like you are very very slowly getting there.

alex that's great news about the scan and your cervix. 24 weeks does feel like a bit of a milestone.

kitty 2 under 2. Argh, sounds like bloody hard work. Hope you get a good nights sleep.

Kittenkatzen · 09/08/2013 08:25

Hey lovely ladies how are you all??

Haven't been around much for a week or so as my dad has had some complications from the cancer surgery and is now in ICU being treated for sepsis and other nasty things SadSad. What with that, my final week at work, MIL's move to round the corner from us not running entirely smoothly and SIL having a slightly traumatic 6 day labour ending in emergency section - it's been a bit of a rough week all round really!

Off to catch up with all your news now, I must have missed loads!

OP posts:
Kittenkatzen · 09/08/2013 09:06

little seems like you've got a stubborn one in there! Fx you have a shiny new baby before the weekend is out!

Awww thingy such a lovely story about your DPs mum, made me well up on the train!

Hugs for you wee, not long till your DH comes home now, bet you can't wait Smile

Hurrah for the lovely scan news fatas, did you get some nice pics?

when wow that is an expensive wedding!! Hope it all goes well today and isn't too stressful for you! Also hope it's nowhere near London as its grey and miserable here today (although rain on your wedding day is supposedly good luck I think?)

red 18 weeks already, it can't be true!! It's so worrying at that stage with the intermittent movements but do try not to worry - when I was 18 wks I could only feel movements if I was stood up and standing still Smile as for the 20w - 40w stretch without scans, it's honestly flown by for me - seriously it's like someone turned up the dial on time generally!

lol so pleased little Lara is doing well, got any more pics to share in fb?! Grin

Excellent news on the cervix update alex glad it's going well

kitty hope you got some a good nights sleep last night!

Think that's me all caught up, sorry if I've missed anyone! No major updates from me, am 35+1 today and it's my last day at work - woohoo!! Grin

LittleMissSnowShine · 09/08/2013 09:52

Hi everyone!

red - Sorry, I cross-posted with you before. Sorry to hear you haven't been well - are you feeling any better? I've had HG in both pgs and the sickness can really wear you down, and even when I started to feel better I found my immune system was really really crap and I literally caught everything, awful chest and sinus infections, noro-virus...everything!!! I've found these vitamins really good and they have bonus folic acid too Grin www.bassettsvitamins.co.uk/products/immune I've been taking them for months and they have really helped...

alex - Fab news that everything is going so well! Now you can relax and start to really enjoy being pg and looking forward to the baby arriving.

kitten - You are having a v tough time of it in your family at the min :( Hope your dad rallies round and gets home again soon and also hope your SIL makes a good recovery from that epic delivery and that your MIL's move ends up working out ok. Sounds like you will be needing a holiday to recover from all the stress, hope you are managing to relax despite it all

kitty - hopefully in next few days I will have two under 3 and I am apprehensive! You are coping amazing with 2 under 2!!!

NO SIGN OF THIS BABY YET!!! He's winding me up something shocking - lost some of plug yesterday afternoon and then woke up having some proper contractions during the night last night, which I have to say felt v different since this one isn't back to back so I could actually feel the contractions across my abdomen instead of like being kicked in the back. Not exactly fun, but far easier to stay in bed!!! Anyway, after half an hour, all settled down again Angry Bounced on birth ball like a mad thing this morning, made DS's breakfast, loaded dishwasher and I've had a shower and still...nothing... DH is taking a half day today tho to give me a hand with DS and we're all going to go for a good long walk round the park this afternoon and see if that helps. ZZZZ. Whenever you're ready baby! Any time!!

RedRobin1 · 09/08/2013 10:45

I wrote a long post and seem to have lost it....Grrr!

Feeling little better today but cough getting worse. Thanks for that link little I never knew these existed! Hope baby gets a move on! haha it sure seems to be taking its time and putting you through a torturous wait. Hopefully not long now....

alex fantastic news on the cervix okay! and good to hear from you... 24 weeks seems like a safe stage now and you can really start to enjoy it.

kitten 35 weeks! Wow.... you'll be next after Little hope you have a lovely last day at work and then put your feet up while on mat leave!

tedmundo · 09/08/2013 12:00

little .. Surely by the end of the weekend you will have your baby? It is so frustrating isn't it?!

Good luck !

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 09/08/2013 15:31

kitten wow you have a ton of stuff on your plate at the moment, hope your dad makes a super speedy recovery.

little that is one stubborn baby you have there. Hope the contractions start properly soon.

Wedding is going well, it is cloudy but not too bad. SIL looks amazing and db has scrubbed up well too. Am putting my feet up for 10 minutes while dd has a much needed nap in her pram. Heading back to the main event now, really hope I'll be fed soon.

LittleMissSnowShine · 10/08/2013 05:22

No baby yet despite long walk and lots of bouncing on ball - it's all v stop start, start to have contractions and then they die down again after 40 mins. Fed up but things could def be worse...can't sleep tonight tho and DS will be up in 90 mins Confused

Hope they eventually fed you at the wedding when Wink

Off to bed again now to try for even a power nap at this stage lol

Thingymajigs · 10/08/2013 07:50

So sorry to hear about the complications with your dad kitten. Hopefully he'll be out of hospital before you have to go in. Not long to go now. Smile Have you got bags packed and everything ready or are you leaving it til later?
Can't be long now little. I know how every day drags though. I'm going to guess that by the end of this weekend you'll be holding your baby. While I'm making wild guesses I'll also guess baby will be 8 lb 2 oz.

LittleMissSnowShine · 10/08/2013 22:49

thingy - 8lb2oz would be lighter than DS who was 8lb8oz and 58cm long the big giant so I'd be pleased with that!!

Sunburnt? Poor you ice, but glad rain cleared up!!

No news here!! EDD came & went y'day - still having twinges, mild contractions and have lost all of or most of plug now but my waters are still in tact and contractions are nothing to write home about. Back to hospital again on Mon afternoon but they'll hardly bother with a 3rd sweep and if nothing happens between now & then I have induction to err look forward to on 19th ConfusedConfused DH took me out to see The Conjuring tonight to see if we could induce labour through a jumpy horror film but no!

Anyone else got any news? How are your weekends going?

LittleMissSnowShine · 10/08/2013 22:50

Whoops sorry, mention of sunburn was for my other thread. Early onset baby brain!!

BelissimaLol · 11/08/2013 08:35

Oh god little poor you. Confused
My mum arrived yesterday and she is so in love with Lara it's quite cute ask me in a couple of weeks if I still feel like that Grin

RedRobin1 · 11/08/2013 11:53

Oh dear little baby sure seems to be taking its time! Keep telling it to come out Smile I was wondering who ice was....hehe

I have coughed my lungs out in the last 48hours. Dr. Google says baby should be fine. But I am getting soreness in the abdomen now and back is keeling over. I have had extreme coughing fits at night and so bad so that my dinner has been coughed up! Got glycerin and honey lemon but they only seem to be providing temporary relief. Fed up of it! Arrrgggghhhh!

lol Lara sounds adorable. How many weeks is she now?

BelissimaLol · 11/08/2013 14:19

Hi red Lara was two weeks yesterday and she is the most beautiful baby in the whole world
Yes she is not that difficult I don't think. As long as she is fed and cuddled she is ok! Just like me lolGrin
Omg little. I feel for you my friend.

LittleMissSnowShine · 11/08/2013 19:26

Aww 2 weeks already lol SmileSmileSmile

red - I feel for you, all that coughing is sore and makes it hard to sleep. Hope it clears up for you soon and you won't need an antibiotic, but don't be afraid to tell dr you need one if the coughing won't go away.

Tired and grumpy today!! DH and DS were out on the bike his morn tho so I got a nap and then went to park with DS, to look at little bikes for his 3rd birthday in a few weeks and to my mum and dads for dinner. Put the day in and I'm so wrecked again I think it'll be an early one for me tonight!! Hope everyone is well x

kittykatsforever · 12/08/2013 07:57

Oh kitten what a stressful time your having and bless you for asking about everyone else! I hope your dad is on the mend and that your sil is now looking back on her labour with rosé tinted glasses forgotten as she cuddles her new born
Little, stubborn little boy hey Confused when did ds arrive was that on your due date? Dd2 took 10 days longer then her sister!
Lol so glad to hear its all going well for you, sometimes you do just get a good baby or good sections in any case, both mine have been great a breast feeding and so far great at sleeping, we had 12hrs last night out of both GrinGrinGrin put them down at 7 and they woke at 7:10 with us realising wed forgotten to put the bins out! please may it last please may it last
