Thought I may as well start this given I'll be around for another (hopefully) 14ish weeks :) Hope I've not crossed posts with anyone!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
RedRobin1 · 01/08/2013 18:16

Aww hope the baby is out soon litlle the pelvis pain and discomfort sounds awful. Hope it's on it's way out. Not long to go! Anytime now :)

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 01/08/2013 20:30

Really sorry about the spd little it really hurts doesn't it. Fx the sweep does the trick for you. Promise you will share your birth story with us. I just love hearing them.

LittleMissSnowShine · 02/08/2013 15:26

Just had sweep done - took some cocodamol beforehand to compensate for dodgy pelvis so it was great, barely felt it lol Also got a scan to check position and everything looks good Grin

2cm dilated but still good bit of effacing to get thru so hopefully things will kick off over the wkend but if not they have booked me in for another sweep on Wed.

Happy Friday everyone, hope u all have good weekends!

Thingymajigs · 02/08/2013 15:41

Ooh exciting. Smile Good luck little. Hope everything goes well and you avoid another sweep.
I had SPD with ds2 and groin strain so I can imagine how much you'd like to see the end of this pregnancy. Won't be long now.

kittykatsforever · 02/08/2013 19:30

Fx it kicks off this wkend then little. Do you go quick? I'm never dialated and then when it starts goes really fast
Thingy is it 2 boys you have? Will you find out at the 20wk scan what little thingy is?

Thingymajigs · 02/08/2013 19:52

Without a doubt. Smile
I have examined the blurry scan pictures several times looking for evidence so I can't wait till the next scan. Everyone who has seen the picture pointed straight to a large blur between the legs and declared that its a boy. So it looks like I'm creating a tiny army of sweet boys. Totally outnumbered but I love it this way.
Did you find out? I'm amazed at the restraint of couples who manage this.

Thingymajigs · 02/08/2013 19:58

*who manage not to find out, I mean.
Hmm Super tired pregnancy brain.

LittleMissSnowShine · 02/08/2013 20:28

kitty - last time it just took forever and ever for me with DS being back to back so hoping things will go a bit quicker this time!!

thingy - aww being outnumbered is pretty funny. i'll be wanting my own bathroom if we have anymore Wink

kittykatsforever · 02/08/2013 21:42

Oh I hope it's quicker this time for you then, it started quite quick after your first sweep though didn't it? We're you dialated at that point with the first?
Thingy I paid to find out at 16wks, that's how much restraint I had! Grin Most people guessed boy with my 12wk pic so you never know
I tell myself if I had a third I'd leave it a surprise but I know I probably wouldn't have the restraint lol just think if you paid you could find out in a few weeks too......Wink

LittleMissSnowShine · 02/08/2013 22:16

kitty - yes, had sweep on the Fri afternoon, show on the Sat morn and was having strong contractions and throwing up rings round me by the Sat night. DS didnt emerge til lunchtime Monday tho after all that. Having sweep done first time tho was def more painful and i was no more than 1cm and hardly effaced at all. Bit further along this time at 2cm & 50% effaced tho so fx but no way of predicting it i suppose! Been bouncing on ball & getting DH to do acupressure points this evening, cant hurt...

kittykatsforever · 03/08/2013 05:11

No bounce away tigger Wink

BelissimaLol · 03/08/2013 07:42

Ooooh exciting little!!!!! Hopefully it will work fast! I had sweep thu pm and was told the first one never works. She was out on sat GrinGrin

RedRobin1 · 03/08/2013 09:30

little how exciting! Oooo I can't wait to hear another baby popping out :) good luck and I hope it goes quick for you after the sweep. It could literally be any moment now......eeek! Smile

Thingymajigs · 03/08/2013 09:42

Same here kitty. I keep thinking about paying for an extra scan. They are only £60 here but that's money we really need for our holiday and baby things. I'm very tempted though.
I keep checking back for little updates. Hope things are progressing for you.
DP is going to tell his mum today. He has bought her a birthday card and is going to put the scan pics inside. He's very excited. I predict tears from both of them probably.
fatas how are you doing?

BelissimaLol · 03/08/2013 13:00

Oh how nice thingy. Telling the family is always special!
Ooh silence from little land!!! Grin
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. I'm with the in laws and may commit murder before the weekend is over Grin

LittleMissSnowShine · 03/08/2013 19:59

lol - hope you manage not to have a murderous weekend! Wink my in laws (and my own mum & dad) are 5 mins drive away and luckily I do get on with them because obviously we see our families a lot but having everyone so lose by means never having to stay with them and get fed up, always have our own place to retreat back to nd I am v thankful for that sometimes!!!

thingy - aww hope your DP's mum is over the moon, lovely way to share the news :)

Yes fatas, how are things?

Nothing happening here!! Angry The mw who did sweep y'day did warn me as much but since sweep with DS really worked quickly I did have my hopes up, prob a bit prematurely Blush should know better!! Took DS to a kiddy production of room on the broom this morn, I'd a bit more cleaning, went to park nd then in laws for tea but nothing more than achy pelvis and mild cramping. Hopefully it's all working on effacing / dilating so that when I do go properly into labour I'll be at least 3cm and fully effaced (dream on!) Will continue to bounce on ball, see what happens....

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 03/08/2013 21:06

lol if you are going to murder them now is the time, you could blame it on postpartum moods swings or something. Hope the weekend is ok.

thingy the scan photos in the birthday card sounds so sweet, I predict tears of joy.

little sorry the sweep hasn't done much yet. Hopefully bouncing will help move things along a bit.

Had a good day here, mum and dad came over and helped finish off the lawn. Back garden looks almost presentable now.

Thingymajigs · 04/08/2013 07:21

Are you still bouncing little? Grin Really hope things pick up for you soon.
I have never seen anyone with such an expression of pure joy before yesterday. DP passed his mum the cards with the second being one for 'Grandma'. She thought it was from my boys but when the scan photo dropped out she just started crying and smiling and that set DP off and they hugged like that before grabbing me in too. She was so happy, I felt privileged to be able to witness that really. She had to have a sit down to let it sink in bless her. I think after suffering with such ill health this has been the good news they wanted. They want to buy a pushchair for us and make sure we have everything we need. I'll have to stop them from getting too carried away. They will make amazing grandparents.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 04/08/2013 07:47

Thingy, I'm welling up reading that. Sounds like they will be great grandparents, you are lucky rubbish ones are a nightmare.

I'm lucky too my parents and pil are fantastic and are so much help.

kittykatsforever · 04/08/2013 07:48

Ahh thingy that's such a lovely story, made me abit teary!
Smile

Thingymajigs · 04/08/2013 08:33

I know, I feel very lucky right now. DP will also make a wonderful dad. He's already amazing with the boys and considers them to be his own. Yes, I feel quite spoilt this weekend. I hear so many stories of unsupportive husbands and grandparents being difficult so I'm counting my blessings.
I have updated the stats page. I don't know if anyone wants to add more about births and gender information to keep it upto date. Won't be long before little graduates too.

LittleMissSnowShine · 04/08/2013 10:54

Aww thingy, that's lovely - a new baby can be such a lift for the whole family and its great having in laws who are excited about it all too. Mine have always been fab, really involved, nothing is ever too much trouble and its lovely for DS too having two sets of v involved caring grandparents. Sounds like excitement is really building for you guys!!

Still bouncing here! Was up to pee (of course!) at about 4am and was having really sore lower back pain but it faded after about 20 mins. Niggles and that's all I'm afraid but trying to just chill out & enjoy our last few days as a family of 3 since I'm sure our newest member will be along soon enough. Hard to be patient but not long to go!!

weechops · 04/08/2013 18:54

little hope its not too much longer for you til you get to hold your lovely bundle.

thingy that's just so sweet! Made me smile.

I'm having a bit of a hormonal day today. Had a wobble in asda in the card aisle of all places. Seeing a 'congratulations on your grandson' card made me miss my mum so much more today. She's been gone nearly 12 years, and occasionally it hits me all over again that i'll never see her again. Sorry to bring the thread down :( DH is away back offshore til the 15th and its been a stressful few days.

RedRobin1 · 04/08/2013 20:25

thingy loved your story and made me well up too.

Hope the effacing thing is going well little Smile fingers crossed anytime now!!!

wee big hug x

lol hope the in laws are still breathing Wink what did they do? Hope you and baby lara are doing well

Thingymajigs · 04/08/2013 20:28

So sorry wee. Sad I don't think 'hormonal' quite covers something like that. You have every reason to feel sad about missing your mum. Hope your dh can offer support when he gets back. x
I'd say 'hormonal' was more for stupid things like getting teary because you've bought the wrong biscuits or shouting at your partner because he put the knife in the spoon section of the cutlery drawer. Blush Grin
