Thought I may as well start this given I'll be around for another (hopefully) 14ish weeks :) Hope I've not crossed posts with anyone!

mrsbri that's great news on the weight loss, I completely forgot they lose weight in the first week till I read that Blush

Night out was good I was only there got the first half of it. The other girls did very well and finished at 3am, I think it got a bit more raucous once the pregnant woman and everyone's mum left (seriously at the start of the night the average age of the hen party was 50).

BelissimaLol · 02/07/2013 18:11

Hi girls
Very quiet down here!
Well had my 36 app today and mw was not sure if baby was breach or not so I had a presentation scan. Turns out she is not breach but is back to back so hopefully she will twist soon! Definitely a girl though which is good news. She also poked her tongue out during the scan which was adorable!
How's everyone else doing? Any news!?

Kittenkatzen · 02/07/2013 18:44

I'm here! Smile

Eek 36 weeks!! Hope littlelol turns for you soon....in my birthing class they recommend a move to help encourage b2b babies to turn. You get down on all fours, push your bum back to your heels and then sweep down, forward and up again - apparently the feeling of your spine against theirs can make them turn, plus the gravity factor of being on all does with your bump hanging down.

Nothing to report from me...did think baby was trying to make an early exit through my belly button last night though!

Hello?! Are any of you lot still around?! Or busy nesting!? Grin

I had a scan this morning...

MrsBri · 04/07/2013 10:48

How was it, Adsum? :-)

Adsum · 04/07/2013 10:56

Hi Nic!
How are you doing? Hope the feeding is going well! The first few weeks really are exhausting aren't they?!

It was good - 7+2 with a little flickering heartbeat! I was a bit surprised as expecting the worst of course - just relieved now - today I am pregnant! ShockSmile

Thingymajigs · 04/07/2013 10:59

Yay! Great news adsum. Smile
I had a scan at the same time as you. Not a lot to see is there? But well worth it to see that little heartbeat.

BelissimaLol · 04/07/2013 12:57

Thats great news girls!!!! I found that first scan pretty amazing even though it was just a little baked beanGrin
I had a scan too to check for breach. Good news baby is head down but is currently back to back which apparently makes labour harder Confused
Also confirmed def a girl which is a massive relief since I've got so much pink stuff it's unreal!
I'll be full term on tue which is quite exciting.
Nic how's baby doing? Seen DH with the pram and its quite sweet x

MrsBri · 04/07/2013 12:59

The feeding has taken over my life! I love watching her feed though. The sound of the gulping for the hind milk is awesome!

The lack of sleep isn't great, but she's worth it. :-)

It's a jelly bean more than a baby then, isn't it? Amazing that in 5 weeks it'll look like a proper, mini, baby!

MrsBri · 04/07/2013 13:01

Baby is great, Lol. Love her so much and she's so funny / cute!

Great news on the scan. Are you really excited now?

BelissimaLol · 04/07/2013 14:29

Yeah I'm excited now! Two more weeks at work after this one and then its just waiting for her to come!
When is DH back at work?

MrsBri · 04/07/2013 14:43

We aren't sure. It could have been this week but the main contractor is being an arse. Maybe next week.

He's had patchy work the last few years. It's actually worked well for this time though!

kittykatsforever · 04/07/2013 15:11

Wow your working til quite late then lol! I had finished just after 35wks!
Great news on the scan adsum still want to call you fatas as Italy's me smile I'm so glad it's going well Grin
It's great you've been able to carry on bf Nic, it's hard work but very rewarding, I cried the first time we have dd1 a bottle lol

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 04/07/2013 15:13

ads great news on the scan, so pleased it all going well for you.

lol I can't believe you will be full term next week. I also can't believe you are working right up to your due date. I finish when I'm 34 weeks and it can't come too soon.

BelissimaLol · 04/07/2013 17:43

Yeah I'll be working until I'm 38+3 out of choice really. Work near home and can take it easy if I need to. Then it means more time with baby. Today I had all my dates confirmed. Start mat leave on 22 July and back in work on 23 June so 11 months exactly. Including holidays i'll have 5 months on full pay and 6 on mat pay so hopefully it won't be as bad as I thought.
I like calling you fatas as well Grin
How many weeks are you now when?
Yeah nic I'm excited now. Can't wait to see her!

fatasbutter · 04/07/2013 18:17

Ah feck it! Back by popular demand! Wink

Yes it was a relief a bit - still convinced it could be a disaster but trying to just enjoy today! Felt sick most of the day today (yay!). How many weeks are you thingy?

It's amazing to think everyone else is so far ahead now! And already popping! Soon you will have to move to a new Fred for grad mums!!

Thingymajigs · 04/07/2013 18:39

I'm 9 weeks tomorrow going by my LMP but the scan put me back by 2 days. So either 8+6 or 8+4. Those two days seem to be of huge significance at this stage. Grin
The sickness is a great sign fatas although I hope you don't get it too badly. Luckily I seem to have gotten away with a mild undercurrent of nausea when hungry but that's it. I'm now panicking that this means something is wrong but I won't know until the 12 week scan.
Aww bri, that is so sweet. I have such happy memories of my dc's feeding and watching their eyes close as they drift off. Can't wait to see that again.
I'm very impressed you are working for so long lol. Its great of you can so you get to spend more time with baby. I wimped out by 32 weeks in both pregnancies as it involves being on my feet all day.
Does anyone know if I need to take a urine sample to the booking appointment tomorrow? I got given some pots but it doesn't specify which appointments they are needed.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 04/07/2013 19:28

Hello fatas I never did get used to adsum sickness is horrible but good Smile

lol I'm 23 weeks, will be 24 on Sunday. I just wish time would go a little quicker, not enjoying work at the moment. A lot of what I do is planning 3-6 months ahead and I'm finding it hard to stay focused, also I really can't be arsed Blush

thingy midwives have a bit if an obsession with urine. I think I took a sample everytime I had an appointment.

BelissimaLol · 04/07/2013 20:00

Yay welcome back fatas Grin
Don't worry about MS hun. I had none whatsoever. Have not puked once. And now have an active jumpy baby! I still freaked out over 12 week scan and I think that's the case whatever happens!
Time does go slowly though. I feel I have been pg my whole life! Think it only goes faster in this last few weeks!

RedRobin1 · 04/07/2013 20:41

Yay fatas great news on the scan! So happy for you and liking the old name again.

nic lovely to read updates about Amy. Hope the sleepless nights are worth every moment with her.

Hello lol, when, kitten, kitty, thingy!

Sorry I have been awol... I have been suffering from horrendous ms but not enough to be classed as hg. I was able to keep liquids down but no food after 11weeks. Started getting nose bleeds and low blood pressure and finally got prescribed some strong anti sickness pills - just had my first meal without throwing up and it feels lovely. I envy people who have no nausea. Got quite depressed with it all.

On the plus side 13 weeks tomorrow and get to see baby at scan. DH is so excited and keeps feeling my tummy. I have started showing with a cute bump prodding out Smile I forget the good bits with the ms taking over. Really can't believe it there's a baby in there!

kittykatsforever · 04/07/2013 20:54

Oh red, how horrible you've been plagued so badly with ms Hmm I feel so sorry for anyone who has it like that, it's so depressing! I'm glad they've prescribed you meds now, lets hope it's on the turn for you and let us know how you get on tomorrow, so exciting!
Yeay fatas, I never did get used to adsum either Wink

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 05/07/2013 12:46

Poor you red hope the sickness subsides soon. Very exciting seeing the baby at 13 weeks.

I think I might have an ice cream now. Weather is amazing.

Thingymajigs · 05/07/2013 14:31

How did the scan go red?
Sorry to hear that you felt so down. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to live like that for weeks on end.
It is lovely isn't it when. So glad the weekend is here.
Thanks for the info on the samples. Midwife was oddly happy that I had bought one with me. Now I wait for the scan date.

RedRobin1 · 05/07/2013 15:11

The pills don't seem to be working today so will see if they can give me something stronger.

Saw baby today and it was so worth all the sickness just seeing my baby on the screen moving its arms and legs. I was instantly in love and just wanted to cry. It's so cute, can't stop staring at the scan pics. Lovely little thing Smile

Thingymajigs · 05/07/2013 17:19

Aww that's so sweet. Smile Glad it went well. Did they date you about the same as you thought?
