Very early days but I'm due 26 January - really expecting early February after being 15 days late with DC1. Thought I'd get the ball rolling Grin

Anyone else?

Thanks ladybee think I'll pick up some sea bands today, have been trying the little and often thing but that's not been working so far, actually the thought of eating makes it worse, eating not much more than toast, tomatoes and ice lolly's and still managing to bloat... Doesn't seem fair lol... Xx

Ladybee · 23/06/2013 12:16

I had toast with cottage cheese and tomatoes for dinner tonight - so snap...nearly. With my first pg I had nearly total food aversion. It was v odd but I did find some things that I could eat...they had to be quick and odourless t o prepare otherwise if I smelled them for 'too long' I'd lose interest in eating them. Best solution was having DH cook...

Champagne. My middle of the night choice is a banana. Quick, quiet and filling!

I feel okay today as well tho i can't look at food and can only pick at things. Meat is an absolute no go. Nor is anything that smells remotely like food.
Finding pre made pasta salads good and things life punnets of fruit. Absolutely nothing fatty or greasy. Makes me boak just writing that.

If i have the energy we might try night wean/sleep train dd tonight. She still wakes 2-5 times a night and will only be placated by boob.

Sassy20 · 23/06/2013 16:56

Hi everyone - another one joining the Feb group. Got my bfp yesterday and think I'm about 5 weeks and due end of Feb but could go into March as dd was a week late. No real symptoms yet other than tiredness and boobs a bit sensitive. Expecting morning sickness to start anytime if it's like my last pregnancy!

jazzcat28 · 23/06/2013 18:07

Welcome Sassy!

popocatepetl · 23/06/2013 19:32

Congrats sassy

Is it just me or is the name 'morning' sickness a total case of false advertising? How about all-the-flipping-time sickness?! Finding it strangely comforting though as I wait for tomorrow's scan. Thanks for the reassurance ladies, it's good to hear I'm not the only one who's had spotting and pain and that it all worked out ok for you.

Pops78 · 23/06/2013 19:36

Hi Ladies, whoops i posted this on Feb stats which i think was wrong so reposting here. Really nervous just tested at 2 days late and am thrilled to see that elusive 2nd pink line after so long,I am: Pops78 DC2 EDD 28th Feb 2014. I am so super nervous of this all going well been trying for ages since DD 3.4yrs and been diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis so extra chance of issues. If anyone has experience of this or just an underactive thyroid alone would be great to hear from you. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. Congrats to all of you I am going to catch up on all your posts so far but am so late in Feb you must have been chatting lots already :-)

Sassy20 · 23/06/2013 20:01

Lowra - have we met before in April 2011 babies group?!

Bearfrills · 23/06/2013 20:03

Congratulations Pops78 :)

Sickness is back, sitting here feeling distinctly seasick. The only solution is carbs for tea so I've made sweet potato wedges and pasta. I've even added broccoli to make it healthy :o

littlestgirlguide · 23/06/2013 20:04

After feeling really nauseous the last three days (while I have been madly busy, in my day job, my evening job, volunteering work, with DD ad getting packed for holiday!) I am -suddenly- feeling ok. Hardly any nausea today, though I'm hoping that is down to being less tired being able to stop and eat whenever I want rather than any scary symptoms have stopped way.

Bearfrills · 23/06/2013 20:08

I've been like that today littlest! I woke up and expected to feel sick shortly after (my sickness seems to take about an hour to realise I've woken up, it kicks in after breakfast).

I've been fretting and worrying all day, and now I feel nauseous.

It vanished the other day too.

I think it's because it's still early days and the hormones are all still flying around. I'm 5wks and don't usually feel sick at all until 6-7wks, which is when I get the all day every day sickness.

Have a hand to hold, try not to worry too much.

Bearfrills · 23/06/2013 20:12

Also like rueyrichardson was saying on p31, the sickness seems to be linked to tiredness.

I fell asleep at 9pm last night (rock and roll lifestyle ... ), woke up and went to bed at 11pm. DH got up with the kids and I woke up at around 9am so I had loads of sleep then he's done all the housework about 95% of the kid stuff today including meals while I've surfed the sofa like a big lazy slug

I'm thinking less tired and time to eat/graze = less nauseous.

Bearfrills · 23/06/2013 20:12

P30, sorry

barebranches · 23/06/2013 20:14

had abdominal mild abdominal pains all day... really hoping its bowels rather than womb. this is such a scary time Sad every twinge makes me worry.

Bearfrills · 23/06/2013 20:16

Mild pains are normal IME, everything is softening up and all that bloating going on too.

I have two hands if you want the other one to hold?

barebranches · 23/06/2013 20:27

thankyou bear its all so scary. This is my first pregnacy and although im a 29 year old woman... its really scary!!!
ive had abdomanal pain on and off throughout but i thought it had gone away. DR said it was normal.
hopefully ill get my scan dates this week!

laura0007 · 23/06/2013 20:32

I'm the same. My symptoms have virtually disappeared apart from being tired but I think that's just from working lots. I get occasional period type pains but I'm thinking that's just stretching. I'm paranoid come my scan there will be nothing on the screen. It's horrible making us ladies wait this long until we see or hear our little babies
