OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Kittenkatzen · 17/05/2013 10:37

I did make a pointed "oh well thanks for coming in and sharing your germs with everyone" comment, but unsurprisingly it went sailing over his head Hmm

fl0b0t · 17/05/2013 10:44

Hello all! Not been able to catch up properly!
Made it to parts 1,2 and 3 of the big asian wedding, including post 2:30am bed times (GO ME!). Had SIL and 6 month old niece to stay (and a week off work) which was heavenly! Now trying to scrub up for a hen weekend (thankfully off work until Monday)!
I hate when matyrs come into work ill (and then boast about it).
ION also incapable of clipping my own toenails, my ladygarden is a forest (I also thought nair was a no go??) and I'm hillariously round. Baby has been going mental the last two days so I've not been feeling great either- its like a washing machine in there!! Hope you're all well!

Mooster1709 · 17/05/2013 11:36

Lo-Fro made me grin. Was much needed as was feeling miserable this morning... No good reason either - I blame the hormones. And maybe the sodding torrential rain.

Kim - If you go to aquanatal.co.uk/ they have a list of all the classes by region - have just decided to give this a try myself after Herewego's description!

CharlW1 · 17/05/2013 11:45

Have just come back from the hospital after having yet more bloods done - as I was waiting, I looked thoroughly notes and it said that if you have rh neg blood then you will receive an appointment for anti D at 24 weeks. I'm 24 weeks today so went up to ante natal to see what was happening - the receptionist wasn't bothered at all and checked the screen and said 'no you've not been booked in' so I asked if she could book me in (it has to be done at 28 weeks) and now there are only appointments available when I am nearer 30 weeks! So for those who need it but haven't heard anything I would chase it up.

EmmaDee · 17/05/2013 13:03

Hi all, I've Been sitting beside a guy for three weeks now and all he's done is sniffle. As well as being ridiculously irritating I finally succumbed to whatever lurgy he has on Monday and had to go home.

Still not feeling brilliant and I have an exam this afternoon. You'd think they'd be on guard if they sat beside a pregnant lady!

Ion i still haven't felt any movement I'm 21+3 anyone else in this boat? Should I be worrying?

CharlW1 · 17/05/2013 13:26

I wouldn't worry Emma I haven't long started feeling movement and I am 24 weeks now. it also makes a difference if your placenta is front or back - if it's at the front you won't feel as much movement than if it were at the back.

EmmaDee · 17/05/2013 13:48

Cheers charl, mine is at the front but doesn't stop me worrying!!

frogchops · 17/05/2013 14:39

Enmadee I only felt a few bubbles this week. I'm 22 weeks today and still unsure of they are just wind!! When I went for consultant apt, the midwife used the Doppler and we could hear him kick loads but I just couldn't feel it. My placenta is at the front.

jennimoo · 17/05/2013 14:42

My anti d is combined with my 28 week MW appointment. Seems like an age since I saw the MW, as its DC2 I last went at 16 and I'm 25+4 now

Had tiring and only partly successful trip to m&s. got one bra and some knickers (eventually) but despite preserving in what I thought were the vest / pj tops I normally wear (the ones with the secret support 'shelf') they were all vests with a proper bra inside, all underwired :( So still on the hunt for new pj tops.

HettySunshine · 17/05/2013 16:07

Emma - try not to worry. I am 23 weeks today and only started feeling proper, yes that's definitely a kick kicks on Wednesday. My placenta cushion is at the front too. DP could feel them too though so that is a bonus of having to wait! Grin

Creamtea1 · 17/05/2013 16:45

I am going to kill 'd'h, I am in a very bad mood. I think it's because I am curbing my food intake to try and reign in weight gain and it is making me ANGRY Hmm
That and he is just lazy. I do everything here - breakfasts, lunches, dinners, washing, all child related stuff, everything. So I don't particularly want him to say 'what's for dinner, you'll have to get something when you go shopping' so I go 'I will get x' and he goes 'I don't want x' and I go 'we'll what do you want' and he goes 'I don't know'.
FFS Confused
I'm tired and fed up of doing everything as well as ft job and I don't want to cook as well as put kids to bed etc etc

Mooster1709 · 17/05/2013 16:48

I hear you creamtea

SGJ · 17/05/2013 17:51

Creamtea I feeling you too - I expect DH will go to the pub after work tonight again and just expect me to be happy to do bedtime, despite doing it most nights, and wash/clean/shop/hoover/cook/look after DD/bake/mow lawn/run the house/go to work/do nursery run/co-ordinate his calendar etc...
I know they're not usually useless or are intentionally frustrating but I do wish sometimes he'd say, oh you stay in bed for an extra 2 hours whilst I get up with DD.... SIGH.
Maybe relax on the diet tonight, eh? Sounds like choc o'clock...

Kittenkatzen · 17/05/2013 18:00

Thanks and Brew for you creamtea. My DH does that bloody annoying "what's for dinner/oh I don't want that" thing too Angry

Definitely ditch the diet for tonight - it Friday and baby wants chocolate!

badguider · 17/05/2013 18:34

creamtea - don't let yourself get hungry. seriously. you can lose the weight after the baby is here... and tell DH it's his turn on dinner tonight! (or at least get him to take over one day this weekend).

We've been out to view nurseries 3 and 4 out of five possibles.... and ironically number 4 which is furthest away from us seems to be our favourite. It's 1mile (20min walk) away from the house (I work from home) whereas nursery 2 (second favourite) is only 0.5miles.

Will I regret choosing the further one when wrangling a baby in a pram or bike seat in wind, rain, hail....?
Nurseries 1 and 2 are perfectly good but have a waiting list and might not have spaces exactly when we want them.
3 was a bit cramped with a rubbish garden.
But 4 was pretty amazing in both the outside learning and the messy and creative play...
We view the last option a week on Monday (27th) - it's 0.5miles away too.... but the one we saw today only has two open baby spaces when we want them... will they be gone by Monday 27th? It will cost £75 to reserve a place which we'd lose if we prefer nursery 5.... It's sooo hard to know what to do!!!

frogchops · 17/05/2013 18:43

Grrrrr. I have spent this whole bloody week asking DP what he wants for tea to get 'i don't mind' as a reply. Then when I suggest something he doesn't want it. Grrrr. I can't moan at him for other stuff tho, he does a lot. Garden, house stuff, washing (he is currently washing up!) but the tea thing pisses me right off.

badguider · 17/05/2013 19:09

wow - DH does all the cooking here when we eat together (about three or four nights a week) and I would NEVER say I didn't want what he'd planned or cooked. I just eat it anyway... and he doesn't cook things I don't like.

Creamtea1 · 17/05/2013 20:04

Thanks ladies for the sympathy - glad to hear I'm not the only one who has the dinner wars! Smile I also never say no to what he suggests or what he cooks when he does cook - he has the cheek to say I'm fussy when he's the 'I don't want that' culprit! Grr. He's currently hoovering so trying to creep I think Wink I'm watching iron man 2 with DS's to feed my tony stark obsession!
This will make you laugh - after all the grumpiness of today and had a lot on at work this week, I took my BP on the home monitor thing and it was 114/75 - near on perfect...DH took his and it was 147/88 - he had the cheek to say 'see, told you in the one with the stress' !!
Ultimate biscuit to him!

Fozziebearmum2b · 17/05/2013 20:18

So glad we had the GT test conversation the other day. Had my me apt today and mentioned my family history and the woman was shocked it hadn't been booked and booked it hastily. Smile

SGJ · 17/05/2013 20:22

Creamtea, are we the same person?! I too have a creeper as DH has come home after 1 pint, ordered us an Indian and proposed a family trip to the zoo tomorrow. Creep! I am also obsessed with Tony Stark/RDJ and even had an awesome dream featuring him last week Wink

Creamtea1 · 17/05/2013 20:55

Ha that's brilliant SJG - you are first person I have found who joins the grown woman iron man fan club, my friends all think I'm wierd for loving him! I let ds2 stay up till 5 mins ago (he's only 6) as I had to watch iron man 2 till the end! Smile if you haven't seen number 3 you NEED to go..
creeper mc creep is cooking the pizzas Wink

jennimoo · 17/05/2013 21:27

Can I join the iron man club? RDJ makes the film IMHO and its my fave super-hero franchise :) I've not seen 3 yet though.

frogchops · 17/05/2013 21:28

Ill have you know I was at the cinema on opening night to see iron man 3 ;) (laughing at how my phone autocorrected that to iron nan!) I'm a big rdj fan!

Creamtea1 · 17/05/2013 21:32

Yes!!! 4 of us and counting!! Grin

herewego2 · 17/05/2013 22:01

Think DH likes Iron Man, great! I can pretend I am being all kind and suggest watching it because he likes it, when really I can check this hotty out....
