honey forgot to say that sounds like a good lot. Does it mean you've got both a bunny rabbit and a teddy bear? Or was it a bunny teddy cross Grin. DD has a matching set of bunny blanket and soft toy from mothercare. I'm going to get the teddy set this time. I just a sucker for this cute set thing Blush

Morning all! Very jealous of all of you talking about scans, I don't even have a date for mine yet!! Spent yesterday in hospital on a drip again and feel semi-human today as a result. Poor ds is finding it all quite hard though.

jbrd really sorry to hear you are having a worrying time, I expect the wait until Thursday will feel very long. I hope you can find a way to distract yourself a little

Pretty much the whole world knows I am pregnant now, no other way to explain being this ill without needlessly worrying people. But it is hard for me as I don't have the comfort of a scan yet. Thinking about booking a private one but not sure if its a bit indulgent

Saundy · 15/04/2013 11:23

Woo MissT that's fab.

It's good you have your scan date RB just a few more days.

I'm still waiting for my scan Tired it's rubbish, sorry to see you're still so poorly.

So are you ladies saying that hands get bigger as well as feet?!

MissTweed · 15/04/2013 11:24

I had to stop wearing my rings a few weeks back so I bought a silver one from a goth type shop and only cost £6! It's nearly identical to my real one

MummaPanda · 15/04/2013 11:26

Oh yea my feet are half a size bigger too. Think that's pretty perminent lol. Hopefully the fat sausage puffy fingers isn't!!

Fairydogmother · 15/04/2013 12:02

great news tweed!

flip me hope this increasing feet and hand thing doesnt affect me! i'd be gutted at not wearing my engagement ring - i only got it at christmas!

honey86 · 15/04/2013 12:03

o forgot to ask a bit of advice.

my jeans are feeling a bit neat around my tummy but not sure what to do. do i buy a size bigger normal jeans or see about elasticated maternity jeans?! if so what sort do i look for - under the bump i assume? since i dont actually HAVE a flipping bump!

MummaPanda · 15/04/2013 12:05

Dw fairy my engagement ring only stopped fitting me right at the end of pregnancy so you should get to show it off for a while yet!!
Also about jeans, have you done the hairband round the button trick? That buys you an inch or two!

Fairydogmother · 15/04/2013 12:08

my favourite jeans have 2 buttons so if i dont fasten them both then it sticks out! stupid jeans lol

i am, as usual, wishing my life away - would rather a bump just came and then i could dress appropriately!

MummaPanda · 15/04/2013 12:21

I had jeans like that, get quite a big band and poke both ends of band through the 2 button holes, then fasten it by putting one end inside the other and pull it tight, then alternate looping the free end over each of the buttons, kind of like a figure of 8, and keep looping until its tight enough. Worked for me!

Animol · 15/04/2013 12:25

Haven't worn my rings for weeks and weeks - have a bit of a phobia about getting them completely stuck so I took them off while I still could.

Fairydogmother · 15/04/2013 12:31

genius mumma! thank you!

this is why i love this forum lol

MummaPanda · 15/04/2013 12:33

Hehehee, glad I could help! Grin

OneLittleToddleTerror · 15/04/2013 12:42

fairy I just wear maternity jeans with the big band tucked underneath clothes. You have to wear longer tops to cover the lowered waist, so it's not like the band is showing. I have no luck with the hair band around waist thing because I can even pull the skinnies over my bum! Otherwise I wear leggings, which expands over my fat tum atm.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 15/04/2013 12:43

Oh and I tried my jeggings this morning, and I can't even do up my zips. How embarassing Blush. I'm glad some of you are't so bloated yet!

getoffthecoffeetable · 15/04/2013 12:47

JBrd good news that you've got a scan, sorry that it's days away. Try and rest up if you can until then. Maybe sort your digital photos out into albums or something to try and keep you busy but with your feet up.

misst that's brilliant news, you must be so relieved.

I'm another one whose fingers swelled during last pregnancy. It was in the third trimester for me though. Also, my feet grew two sizes in third trimester and I'm now between half a size and a whole size bigger. It's been a complete pain as now none of my old shoes fit. I lived in my fit flops while on maternity leave last time and am planning on doing the same again.

Morning all. I caved and called doctors. Got an emergency appointment this morning but all he could do was check my heart rate and blood pressure then refer me to the EPU tomorrow morning! It's a 'turn up and wait' kind of affair, but I'm pleased as at least I should know either way whether there is a problem. He did prod and listen to my tummy, not sure what pod that would do, though I think he was just trying to ascertain whether it was an ectopic (he said very unlikely). So! Tomorrow it is then.

berrybomb · 15/04/2013 13:23

Yay MissT - great news

JBrd - FX for you, good luck for Thursday, hope everything goes ok

Onelittle and Mumma for tomorrow, can't wait to hear Smile

Welcome fuckwittery, glad you're scan went well.

I had a lovely chilled weekend, and for the first time yesterday felt completely like my old self, and same again today. This has of course worried me. I've got my appetite back, no MS, but I guess my boobs are still a little sore. Hopefully nothing to worry about, and I should be pleased I'm no longer a zombie walking!

I bought my first pair of maternity clothes yesterday - a pair of jeans. They are soooo comfy, but I can't wear them till after the scan next Monday, when we can tell everyone! The hairband round the button has been working, but even that's a little tight now!!

berrybomb · 15/04/2013 13:40

Is this urine sample gender test a crock of sh1t!??

Saundy · 15/04/2013 13:48

Welcome FW & congrats, hope you're getting over the shell-shock ok!

Fingers crossed for tmr then Ariel cave away if it puts your mind at ease - that's the most important thing. Are you feeling a bit better about everything?

Yey for the good days Berry as for the test it has as many bad reviews as good so that would suggest 50/50 ie you may as well toss a coin!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 15/04/2013 14:12

berry agree with saundy. The reviews are 50/50, which is what you'd expect with a piece of ripoff Grin. You may was well toss a coin and ask Lizzy.

berrybomb · 15/04/2013 14:22

I'll go back to coin tossing then! That's what i though.
