Lovely news spanish and busy
Hope that it's all becoming more real for you now

harverina · 17/04/2013 16:43

Thanks for reassurance saundy. With dd I wouldn't have questioned it because I felt fairly well a lot of the time - it's just this time the nausea has been awful at times especially the past 2 weeks so its more noticeable when it isn't here. And this time I know way more too - knowledge isn't always a good thing! Thank god i am not a midwife!!

SpanishLady · 17/04/2013 17:06

beginning to get my head around having twins - of course the most important thing is they are healthy but if I could choose would love a boy/girl combination - roll on June when I hope we will be able to find out.... hate wishing my pregnancy or life away but am anxious about getting through it and in an established routine so I can know we are coping!

EcoHippyMum · 17/04/2013 18:06

I am sat in EPU, started bleeding outside of uni, rang the midwives who told me to go to nearest A&E so had to go to Addenbrokes. Waiting to see consultant now.

JBrd · 17/04/2013 18:19

Emc123 · 17/04/2013 19:23

Hi all, hope I'm not to late joining! Due 7/11/13 with first baby. Dating scan next week so maybe the date might change..
These first 12 weeks seem to last forever! Nervous and excited about the scan, hoping all is ok. Anyone else have their scan soon? I expect it will feel more real seeing baby on the screen :)
X

Fairydogmother · 17/04/2013 19:33

Hi emc and congrats!

Emc123 · 17/04/2013 19:40

Just read the latest posts, hope all is ok Eco x

harverina · 17/04/2013 19:41

Hi emc, congratulations! Grin

I have my scan ion Tuesday morning and my first appointment with my consultant. I am due 2 November according to my dates. Also a mix of excitement and nerves at scan!

Wibblypiglikesbananas · 17/04/2013 20:47

Had the 12 week scan today and all good! He or she is a lively little wriggler! Got tonnes of photos - and DD got to watch too. Lovely afternoon.

getoffthecoffeetable · 17/04/2013 20:54

Lovely news wibbly so pleased for you

Wibblypiglikesbananas · 17/04/2013 21:00

Thank you! I hadn't been nervous until this morning but then I started worrying something might be wrong. Guess it's only natural.

Busy and Spanish - glad your scans today were also great - twins as well, Spanish - did you have an inkling? Or was it a surprise?

Eco - hope you're ok, fingers crossed for you x

harverina · 17/04/2013 21:03

Busy, Spanish and wibbly great news about your scans today Grin

Eco any news? Hope you are ok.

Spanish imagine having a boy and girl! That'd be amazing. Is that just as likely as your babies being the same sex do you know?

williaminajetfighter · 17/04/2013 21:11

Thinking of you Eco. Hope it's just a 'thing' and nothing serious.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 17/04/2013 21:19

eco hope you are ok

wibblypig great news on the scan

emc congrats and welcome to the thread

MummaPanda · 17/04/2013 22:00

Hurray for more wiggly babies!

eco hope you get good news.

All family knows the news now and all are sworn to secrecy. Didn't go as bad as I thought telling my dad, I bought him a bar of his fave chocolate, and when he asked why I had got it for him, I said, 'because I'm pregnant and didn't know how to tell you' don't know if it helped or not but my mum sure thought it was funny.
Dh is annoyed because his mum told his sister before he got a chance to. I'm really hoping she doesn't blab to anyone else because we don't want people to know!!!

Minesahotchocolate · 17/04/2013 22:01

Have just caught up on the last week's posts - I can't believe how many sad posts there have been. So sorry to hear Lovelylara and Onelittle and Poppy.

Eco - keeping my fingers Xed for you that all is ok.

Boys - great to have some happy news - what an amazing recovery - yay! And Spanish, having twins. Wow! Oh, and Boobs too - yippee!

There was some talk about bras a few pages back. I found that the Bravado bras, esp the body silk seamless nursing bra, was great. Admittedly it's not the sexiest of bras, but oh, so comfortable! Plus, the bra covers several sizes (which is great when your boobs crazily increase in size after your milk comes in) so you don't need to worry about having to buy another later on. And comfortable enough to sleep in too :) (which you need when the baby arrives and your boobs start leaking milk in the night - what fun we have to look fwd to!).

Re: bumps. I'm now 10+4 and def look like I ate all the pies. I don't look preg, just fat! My belly def sticks out (not in a good way!). I also switched to using hair bands to do up my jeans with a couple of weeks back, and then put a bump band over the top to cover the gap. I forgot tho how when preg my thighs seem to get weight put on them too - I can barely get my jeans up. But, I'm no where near large enough yet for mat. clothes. Am in limbo. Thankfully we've had sunny weather the last few days - wearing skirts/dresses has been such a relief. SO much more comfortable. Am glad we'll be preg through the summer :)

Good luck to those waiting for their scans, I hope that it is all good news from now on.
