Welcome back oh graduated elderberries. Let us discuss the delights of being over-30 first-timers with google obsessions Grin

I feel the need to sound really vain and point out that DH and I are better looking than this pic implies haha! So funny, all the pics really made me laugh especially the race confusion.

janey my cat is awesome.

janey1234 · 25/04/2013 17:15

I know Alex and her DP in real life, and they're really not that good looking at all....
JOKING. V good looking couple indeed. Although shame they're having a munter baby as am I, it would seem

Alexandra6 · 25/04/2013 17:19

Is it wrong that I'm really defensive over my baby even though it's only a ridiculous website pic haha - will be gorgeous no matter what! and at least she's not wearing a ridiculous daisy chain around her head Wink

It's addictive though - can't stop putting in different pics and seeing what the result is!

Cavort · 25/04/2013 17:22

I have sent it to my newly-sprogged friends as well to see if theirs is similar to their actual babies which I sincerely hope it isn't.

Purplemonster · 25/04/2013 21:38

I'm sorry Alex but your 'baby photo' nearly made me choke on my Ribena laughing!

janey1234 · 25/04/2013 21:57

Thank god the experiment on my colleague proved that the baby morphs aren't accurate! His baby is gorgeous, and his morphed baby not great. The relief!

Alexandra6 · 25/04/2013 22:18

Phew!! Haha

janey1234 · 25/04/2013 22:24

Absolutely crying with laughter about these baby predications again - am actually wiping away tears.

Just showed DP our babies - he said 'but they're chavs!'

Cavort - he got a fit of the giggles about the attire of your offspring.

And alex, I hate to say this, but I showed him yours, and he was pissing himself and said 'what the fuck is that?!' Grin

Alexandra6 · 25/04/2013 22:38

I was showing DH just now too and I did a couple of close up pics this time, but I honestly forgot to change the skin colour so it was on the default dark and when it came up with an afro, DH was like "there will be some serious questions if it comes out like that!" haha!

I've uploaded another pic we've just done - looks absolutely nothing like us either, or the last pic! So funny.

Alexandra6 · 25/04/2013 22:39

Also we'd better remove these pics ha - otherwise on other threads we post on, people might view our profile and think these are actually our children!!

Cavort · 25/04/2013 22:44

These pictures are making me nearly wet myself laughing scary!

Alexandra6 · 25/04/2013 22:56

They are scary, they don't look human haha!

Alexandra6 · 25/04/2013 22:59

Is your last one a lovechild with Harry Styles?? Look at that hair!

I need to find some better close up, straight on pics to give it a proper shot although I'm questioning the accuracy of this site haha!

Cavort · 25/04/2013 23:06

I think it's what my baby with Orlando Bloom would look like Grin

I actually have RL nightmares that our baby will have hair like that as I suspect DH's hair would look similar if he let it grow. I have told him I will divorce him if he has passed his unmanageable hair to our baby girl which I will have to try to tame into some kind of style Grin

Alexandra6 · 25/04/2013 23:11

Good point, I have curly hair which I GHD a lot, so if I had to choose, I would save the child the GHD time and hope it has DH's poker straight, so-easy-to-manage hair!

Cheesy I know, but as long as it's healthy Smile

HazleNutt · 26/04/2013 08:27

We always want what we don't have. I have straight hair, the most I get if the weather is really humid (not UK humid, more like Singapore humid) is some slight waves. Had to google waht that "frizz" is that all women are supposed to be fighting. So of course I find my hair totally boring and hope that any kids will get DHs hair - he would have curls if he didn't keep it short.

Quodlibet · 26/04/2013 08:56

I love these! I tried to do one because the instructions were to choose a photo where the face isn't covered by hair, and I have zero photos of my DP without his massive dark beard.

As long as our future babies don't inherit his beard I will count us lucky. Although I do quite fear that given how unfortunately hirsute we both are we may well end up with poor little wolf children.

Quodlibet · 26/04/2013 08:57

Tried to do one and failed

janey1234 · 26/04/2013 09:12

alex - what the hell is that second child all about?! Honestly, can't stop laughing.

quod - have you got a baby picture of DP you could use? I love these pics so much, want to see more!

Ankles are now officially cankles. Angry They're so swollen since the heating was on full blast yesterday at work, on the warmest day of the year so far, grrr. They've gone down slightly after lying flat all night, but still look ridiculous - porky little looking feet and ankles.

Alexandra6 · 26/04/2013 09:20

It makes it funnier if you use pics where the head is at an angle or DH is pulling a funny face! That site is hilarious.

You know what though, I was just thinking about one of my clients who had twins and one of them has a massive red birth mark across her whole face, must be tough. Really hope everything develops well with our baby.

Back to being shallow - hazle I am jealous of your frizz free life Envy

janey1234 · 26/04/2013 09:49

As a little aside, I've just been sent a link by the NCT to a guide they've produced in association with Which? about baby purchases. If anyone is interested - and I hope this works - here is the guide

Hazle - my hair is like yours. Even in Singapore (used to visit a lot as my brother lived there) it didn't even have a wave. Is sooooo boooooring....

Alexandra6 · 26/04/2013 10:01

Another aside - a friend who is literally about to have a baby just pointed out babies need their nappies changed TEN times a day at first, wow! TEN! No wonder new parents look so exhausted Wink DH and I have only ever change a nappy once, something tells me we're about to get a lot better at it!

She was also saying that after the birth there is a funny frumpy stage where you don't fit normal clothes but don't want to wear mat clothes. I am going to look HOT in my xmas pics this year! Grin On the bright side, am going to a wedding at 12 weeks and I've bought a lovely Coast dress that will fit for that and is quite loose around the tummy, but I can still wear non-pregnant too.

janey1234 · 26/04/2013 10:08

And they need feeding about 8-12 times a day for the first few weeks as well. And bearing in mind that some babies take up to an hour to feed... and then you have to change them... and then get them off to sleep... I think that explains why the first six weeks are supposed to be ridiculously tough - exhausting!

Yeah yeah you'll look lovely at the wedding. I, on the other hand, will be 32/33 weeks (wow, will you be 12 by then Alex? that's amazing!) and looking like a beached whale. How lovely. Sad

Alexandra6 · 26/04/2013 10:21

I do get the feeling some babies are 'easier' than others in terms of sleep/feeding etc, same with when they get a bit older I guess.

Technically I'll be 11+3 but I'm rounding up as part of being more positive! Poor us having to avoid the fizz at the wedding! Wink Wouldn't swap it for the world though. And it's only 2 and a half weeks to my next scan! Smile

BraveLilBear · 26/04/2013 10:32

Morning all! So I pop down south for a couple of days and return to a proper rogues gallery Grin

Will be eagerly going thru photos to find a stubble free one of Mr Bear to check out our likely progeny soon! I am at a slight advantage having seen how much his son looks like him, but still... Grin

Was awake this morning at 5 as Baby Bear decided to play basketball in my insides for ages. Which was different!

Great news on Fanta addiction reversals. Re baby-waking tactics... this on got very very excited at Billy Elliott (musical) on Wednesday night- the Maggie Thatcher number at the start of Act 2 had junior literally head banging and doing the running man all at once for about 10 mins. ALso wakes up when I sit down to eat (random) and cold drinks do the trick too... altho it's default setting is uber wriggly at the best of times so could all be coincidence!

Re hair - head hair usually loses stacks (shower usually covered in hair) but now hardly any, and anyone else loving the leg hair stalling?? LOVE that! It's thinner, softer... I can easily now go a week without looking like a gorilla. This hair, however, seems to have crept up my body to my tummy...
