Thanks for that retro - interesting read. I too will stick to the assumption that I'll be pushing!

MotherOfCleo · 03/04/2013 11:35

whoop whoop now craving fruit, this has to be healthier than crisps Grin

Fairydogmother · 03/04/2013 11:40

Lol mother I'm wanting apples and I bloody hate apples!

Saundy · 03/04/2013 11:44

I've been buying apples!

Fairydogmother · 03/04/2013 11:45

I'd love a bacon butty with red sauce at the mo lol

BenthamFriday · 03/04/2013 11:47

Loving all the shorties on this thread! I'm 4'11'' and 2.5 feet, so I have the dubious honour of being the smallest so far. Not sure what they would have said about me having a baby back then Hmm especially as DH is 6'1''...

I'm worried about maternity clothes - where will we find them? I have such short little legs...

Fairydogmother · 03/04/2013 11:49

Does next do petite maternity? I've got the opposite problem in that I find most trousers too short!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 03/04/2013 11:59

Fairy I found next sizes are on the big side. I have to wear a 6 in next and they don't do many 6s.

Bentham I have very short legs too and have never bought a single pair of trousers that fit without alteration Sad. I now take the trouser legs up myself.

BenthamFriday · 03/04/2013 12:00

That's a good thought Fairy - will check.

Ah, to have your lovely, long legs... Wink

OneLittleToddleTerror · 03/04/2013 12:06

BTW, the smallest maternity jeans size h&m does is 8 and topshop is 8L30. (But the rose leigh I've been eyeing is only in 8L32). The H&M ones I got was pretty snug last time, and was too small by the last few weeks. I switched to dress trousers and leggings only towards to end, instead of forking out for another pair of jeans to wear for a few weeks.

SpanishLady · 03/04/2013 12:13

Hi everyone

I had a c-section (emergency due to failure to progress) after being induced and would recommend getting an epidural for the induction as was excruciating to go from a bit of pressure to full labour in about 30 mins!

im 5'2 and would love to be size 8 again - im a dumpy size 12!

9 weeks tomorrow and well still nauseous not so bad that I cant function so a blessed relief

getoffthecoffeetable · 03/04/2013 12:31

Hi all.
I'm 5'6 and a size 12. I'm still managing to fit in all my jeans, it's my smart and suit trousers for work that I can't fit into.
spanish were you induced by the drip? I had a pessary and was fine on gas and air when I had DS.
I had a monster sleep last night. Laid down after putting DS to bed, fell asleep and DH woke me up at 8.10 when he got home. All I did then was put my pjs on and crawl into bed. Think I slept for eleven hours and I still feel like I could have a nap now and probably will when DS goes down for his nap
I've been for my blood test this morning which is done separately at the Outpatient Clinic at Boots here. I was really nervous but the woman was fantastic and really quick. DS behaved himself in there too thank goodness!

BenthamFriday · 03/04/2013 12:33

One - I feel your pain. I can't sew though, so DH has to do it! Will have a pootle to H&M when the time comes, thanks!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 03/04/2013 12:43

Bentham I bought the sewing machine because I was fed up paying £10 to take the legs up on every single pair of trousers. I did a little bit of sewing in home economics at school and so did DH. I followed the instruction on the DVD how to thread the machine and then I just started doing up some pyjamas I have at home Grin. I found the woman I paid before didn't do anything fancy either. She just sewed a straight line around the bottom of the leg. It's easier than it looked. But if you've never used a sewing machine before, I can see how it would look impossible.

(When I mean the jeans from h&m are snug, I mean around my bum. Obviously I've shorten the legs too).

BenthamFriday · 03/04/2013 12:48

Have just found a couple of videos on YouTube - am inspired! For the amount I pay to tailors, £100 on a sewing machine would be more than worth it. Thanks!

(Got it! May go up a size in that case Wink)

harverina · 03/04/2013 14:02

I'm craving Caesar salad - is there no way I can have it?? I'm desperate Hmm

Fairydogmother · 03/04/2013 14:03

Why can't you have it?! M&s Caesar dressing is bound to be safe or tescos etc

OneLittleToddleTerror · 03/04/2013 14:07

I think it's only homemade mayonnaise that is not safe because it contains raw eggs. Unless you are thinking of something else?

OneLittleToddleTerror · 03/04/2013 14:11

Though I have to admit I forgot during easter and had a cheesecake at a pub. I have no idea if it's a baked one (or only cream cheese if not baked). I didn't even rememember until that evening. But since I'm not poisoned yet.

I had sushi last time because after a week in Japan I just couldn't resist eating them. I'm unlikely to go back anytime soon and it seemed such a missed opportunity to not have sushi in Japan!

louby86 · 03/04/2013 14:12

Nice to see some of you on the pregnancy exercise thread! Definitely feel more at ease now, I dragged myself off to spinning this morning, was hard work but feeling much better for it.

honey86 · 03/04/2013 14:12

OneLittleToddleTerror · 03/04/2013 14:13

Um now you lot reminded me I also had two salads at different places .... Blush. I really need to remember better this time. I was a lot more cautious last time round. I remember avoiding all burgers at pubs as they always come with lettuces and tomatoes. And also all side salads. Basically limiting to boiled and roasted veges. It's not as bad as it sound because it's pretty much safe if you stick with the roast.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 03/04/2013 14:14

honey oh dear my steak was medium. I really need to be more careful. I know the risk is very low, but what if I'm the unlucky one to get food poisoning or listeria?

OneLittleToddleTerror · 03/04/2013 14:15

louby I am not on the exercise thread, but it's definitely to go keep going. I cycled to work last time till I went off on maternity. There were quite a few raised eyebrows.

honey86 · 03/04/2013 14:20
