Oh my god I feel utterly wretched! Went into work this morning to sign off my student's paperwork as it's her last day, the wee darling had bought me a beautiful hamper of goodies from my favourite deli as a thank you present - I'm sitting on the bus trying not to look at it as I'm having to concentrate so hard on not vomiting even without the sight of food! Too knackered to walk or would get off bus, why do buses have to be so bloody BUMPY?!!!

PistachioTruffle · 18/04/2013 16:18

Misspositivity, thank you for that, it's positive stories like yours that are keeping me sane! I've had no more bleeding, and the lovely midwife I spoke to thinks it sounds as if my dates are out and it was probably an implantation bleed, so I'm trying to remain positive while playing the waiting game.

feather, that was really sweet of her but such a shame! I guess that Mr feather is in for a treat instead then?! Hope you feel better soon.

PurpleGeekyGirl · 18/04/2013 17:00

Hello! I'm dipping a foot in this thread and the April bus one as I haven't got a bfp on a hpt yet but I am 2 days late which I never ever am with a whole host of they symptoms I never ever get with af and I just know I am -pg mad So I hope it's ok to actively lurk for a bit till I get the external confirmation!

Is anyone else suffering from mouth ulcers? I've had loads and never get them normally. The hygienist at the dentist today didn't think I was mad for mentioning it either and said it was v common in early pg due to hormone changes. Am also really struggling with my appetite as I'm constantly hungry but the nausea means I don't know what I want to eat and my tastebuds are all over the place Blush I didn't get morning sickness with ds so this is all new to me..!

My edd is 25 dec (lmp 22 march) but my cycle is 25-26 days and ds was 12 days late so I think it'll be a new year delivery!

featherbag · 18/04/2013 17:26

I'm determined to eat at least the cupcake!!! Mr Feather thinks he's getting the lot but if it takes me a week I'm eating it!

roxyjedsada · 18/04/2013 18:35

Hi featherbag, oh yes we are the same day! Thats lovely, My little boy is 2 and 2 months now what about you?

Weescottie · 18/04/2013 18:37

Has anyone else been suffering from cramping around 6 week mark? I had some light cramping around 4 weeks but then it went away. However, last night and tonight I've had a really sore cramp. It only lasts a couple of minutes and then goes away and I've no bleeding. Still worrying me though!
In happier news I had my doc appointment today. I think u lucked out. The doctor was lovely and congratulated me and said it was lovely to get someone in with good news. She even took my blood pressure (though think she was just doing it for the sake if doing something!). easily pleased Smile I have midwife appointment in a couple of weeks and got given the huge folder of information I need to fill in.

Welcome to new people and fingers crossed for sticky beans for everyone.

roxyjedsada · 18/04/2013 18:38

Oh no I have just read the above comments and now have the biggest craving for crunchy nut and ice cold milk!!! Im going to have to text my husband! Haha!

QueenofWhispers · 18/04/2013 18:39

I think I've become satan himself.

I am arguing with both sisters whenever I find the time--petty things really; about who should do the groceries, whose boyfriends can come visit and what I should wear when I crash their dinner dates. If I was my own younger sister, I would not be able to tolerate me. I've thrown out all cakes, biscuits and delicious snacks this morning. Branded our puppy 'the hound' and have banned everyone from 'unnecessary carbs and refined sugars'.

I threw away all of our secret chocolate stashes. It would have been great but now I'm craving a white chocolate cake with passion fruit.

:(

Hi ladies, hope everyone's had a good thursday. Weather awful round here, planning on sitting on sofa in pjs this evening Smile Had lovely chat with dr at work at lunch as feel I can trust her and needed to hear some positive advice. Feel a bit better, but still won't rest until first scan! Have almost no symptoms still. pistachio hope you're managing the wait ok. Great that you had a lovely midwife. Congrats plenty! Lovely to hear.
Ooh, dinner ready, will need to post more later. Grin

inkymomma · 18/04/2013 19:30

harry one cup of coffee won't do any harm! Lol. I got tattood last week so I was 4 weeks pregnant and didn't even know. I'm hoping there is no damage to baby. Last pregnancy I went on all the rides at Alton towers before I found out I was pregnant!

OrbisNonSufficit · 18/04/2013 19:31

Harry I hope proper coffee is ok, I've been having one a day (improvement over my normal 5 or 6) - I honestly don't think life would be worth living if I didn't!

roxyjedsada · 18/04/2013 19:32

Just went on a twenty minute walk to sainsburys to buy crunchy nut and ice cold full fat milk! Also got some ovaltine! And some ice pops, random but really fancy them! I am convinced now that I am having a girl as even at 7 weeks I am already noticing such differences to my first pregnancy with my son, I didnt have one bit of sickness with him but was so so tired. Hopefully I won't have both this time!

Leonas · 18/04/2013 19:42

Hope everyone is having a good week. Have started feeling pretty terrible today, having been pretty smug about feeling fine the last 2 weeks - serves me right! Swinging between feeling very sick and like I haven't eaten for days, doesn't seem to matter what I eat!
Had a wee bit of cramping today, am constantly on edge that something might be wrong. Haven't met the midwife team in my area yet, waiting for them to contact me but I just wish I had someone medical I could contact now if anything doesn't feel right - paranoid!

WeeScottie, I am 6 weeks and have been getting a fair amount of random cramps. They feel quite muscular (sudden sharp then gone) I have IBS too so am used to random pelvic pains.

I had my first experience of heightened sense of smell today, and considering I work beside a perfume area at work it was interesting...
Proper grumpy and hormonal today (to the extent someone complained about me, had my manager worried!) I don't like being grumpy :(

Soopermum1 · 18/04/2013 20:08

hi all. had a scan today and all safe and sound with the bean, surprised how much I could see. hearing the heartbeat was amazing. got a new edd date of 2nd december

PostladyPat · 18/04/2013 20:14

Congrats postlady and welcome.

PurpleGeekyGirl · 18/04/2013 20:40

Woot congrats post lady!

featherbag · 18/04/2013 20:54

Roxy my DS is 18mo, my mum's already teaching him to say baby!

b0nker5Mum · 18/04/2013 21:12

Thanks taking... Am excited now... Smile

I've been getting cramps... Mainly in the evenings but sometimes if I have done too much they are bad so I think cramps are all part of the expanding process Smile

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 18/04/2013 22:14

Hello, please can I join too? I think my EDD is 16th of Dec for DC2. DS is 2.5 snap PostLadyPat
Had a mc in Dec so really hoping I'm not jinxing myself coming aboard this thread
Have more symptoms this time than with the MC (scan at 8 weeks showed no growth from 6weeks and mc'd naturally the next day) - sore boobs, super sense of smell, tired, dizzy etc. I didn't get MS with DS1 so hoping I won't this time as I pass out when I puke which can be interesting...

Really want an early scan but want to be sure I'll "see" something. As last two scans have been inconclusive then heartbreaking, having another is freaking me out a bit.

musiceverywhere · 18/04/2013 22:14

One more post before bed (sure its pregnancy tiredness) orbis I'm with you on the coffee. I still have one first thing in morning, but it's not too strong. Work would be even more of a nightmare without it.
Hello to all new ladies- its lovely to have this outlet to chat and share concerns or excitement, even more so when its too early to tell many people in RL.
feather hope you're managing to keep some of your hamper safe! Lovely gift, but not so good timing. Smile
Friday tomorrow Grin
